721  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][PRESALE][ICO] 🔹🔹 Cypher Mobile | Geo Location Game 🔹🔹 |Presale OCT 1ST on: October 10, 2017, 04:18:52 PM
hey guys is there something like a demo available? I understand this is about a mobile game, but what precisely does it look like and how does it work? And why would many people want to play it?

Hey Noruka,

Thanks for the interest. We have a development demo via HERE, the main focal point of the game at the current development stage is to visit locations of shops ETC within their particular area of which are promoted within the platform.

Cypher will randomly place in game assets automatically, dependant on locational features such as a town hall, library however we allow the purchase of these assets to a specific location or more so at the request of a user.

User Example: Business owner purchases an asset to be placed it their own geo location, using pre-defined options within they app they can display a promotional message. This in turn gives the business owner a foot flow as well as giving the player an incentive by using the voucher shown in the promotional message.

This example can be modified into various scenarios.

The example looks interesting. But I don't think I fully understood it. 1) We have a business owner and a user. 2) We have assets, which are purely digital?. 3) These assets are either randomly placed in, for instance, a store, or at the request of a business owner. 4) Those assets serve as an incentive for the user to visit a certain location.

Is that correct? So is the idea that a user has an incentive to go for the digital asset and by doing that also comes across the other products of a business owner. Something like that?

Yes - You pretty much have it there. We are doing an explainer video to show an example of this usecase, to help.

Will watch the video as soon as you have it ready. Do you know when that will be?

This partnership with another mega project will bring huge benefits for both projects. Qtum official has formed partnership with Matchpool and the number of partners is on the rise. It is not simple dating platform which need to understand well in order to take your right position on the project.

Yes you are right and people need to know that it takes time until every single one of those partnerships enfolds its full effects. The one with Qtum is a good one for sure.

724  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [Rupee][RUP] Relaunch. CryptoCurrency for India, South Asia and the world! on: October 09, 2017, 08:03:48 AM
Hello I read about the centralization development in India in regards to its currency. If you want to build a decentralized digital currency for India, aren't you going to face enormous problems from your government? How does that all work out? I mean what India is doing now is probably the strictest centralization a country could go for. Are you all based in India and is your project welcome/legal?

We have heard unconfirmed good report as of yet.

Could you please elaborate a little bit further on that? Are you part of the team?
725  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN]⚡️FIRST DECENTRALISED CRYPTO BANK⚡️ on: October 09, 2017, 08:02:42 AM
When I read that I can easily earn 10% - 15% interest on the money that's on my card, then I must say that I find that misleading or suspicious. Where does that money come from? It's going to appear out of thin air? And if you come up with such a slogan, I hope you have enough convincing info to back that up?
Your income will be derived from the Bank's income from our activities with co-lending on the Narbonne marketplace. Also the revenue will come from services provided Narbonne for large companies and cards cashback.

Ok so is that an offer to attract deposits so to say or does owning a card with crypto on it make me some type of shareholder in the company? If you pay out 10-15% interest on deposits, how are you going to finance that with interest from loans? That would mean that your loans must earn you more than the interest you pay for deposits. And then the number of 10-15% sounds really large because who is going to pay more than 10-15% interest on their loan to you?
Yes You talk right, we have three sources of income for interest accrual on card:
1) Co-lending. We will be a partner in co-lending on our marketplace and third-party lending companies. It should be understood that users of the marketplace decide the lending rates. If we are talking about users from Europe and the USA, they are willing to lend at a rate of 4-6 p. a., in other countries it can exceed 40 p. a. The average value we expect at the level of 22%.
2) Services. Narbonne will also provide profitable services such as selling of the cards.
3) Cashback. There are many affiliate networks to accrue cashback on your purchases by cards.

I think that global interest rates will go down on average with blockchain technology becoming more popular over time. The goal is - at least in my opinion - to not make people pay high two figures as interest rates on any loan. If your model works, then there will be competitors in no time and offer loans at a lower interest rate. I can't imagine that you will be able to collect high interest rates in years from now. But we'll see, I am sure it's gonna be interesting.

SONM which was a coin that had no hope was pumped. Compared to that GUP still has a big chance of getting the price it deserves. However, i still wonder why developement is going that slow.
Development is going well, development work isn't easy like the way you think, better to have good product in long time than having bad product with a lot of bugs in short time, and I believe the price will pump any day before a major release.
I even thought it would pump a little with this pre release news but it does not go well as I expected, I bought more for short term but now I'm stuck with full load of GUP tokens, did I regret? No, because I believe in this project and I will just consider it to my long term holdings, accumulating with the price now is a good idea, it's undervalued at the moment.

I think you are right about this and once the platform is ready, then the demand for GUP will rise and with it the price.
730  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN]Spectrecoin[XSPEC] TOR+OBFS4, Ring Sig, Stealth! on: October 03, 2017, 03:05:29 PM
But what is the reason for mixing up all those anonymity technologies? I mean, did you thoroughly think about it and then came to the conclusion that that is the superior anon solution? Or are you just going to do it for fun?

First off, I didn't found this project Wink I'm not exactly sure how mandica came to the idea of doing it this way. I think that doing ring signatures via Tor is a good way to make an anonymous currency, and then again, the actual goal of this project is to have a decentralized system to exchange XSPEC to cash via mobile phones with other people. There needs to be some foundation for that, they could have chosen to base it on Monero or something different, but maybe they found that it's too complicated and too big for this purpose, so they based it on ShadowCash instead. Tor+Ring sigs are a very sleek solution that combines network privacy with transaction privacy. So it does the job well. You could maybe argue whether this is the "best" solution, I don't know. But I don't see anything wrong with it, either.

I think they said that they are planning to integrate all kinds of anon stuff. And then I asked myself whether mixing up those technologies even makes sense or whether that is just done and used as an advertisement slogan. Anonymity has to make sense mathematically, and that's the point where I doubt that they really tried to figure out what the best solution is for the purpose they are trying to pursue.

I couldnt understand how gup still stayin between 4-5k.  Once a whale dump it from 15k to 5k than it lost all the movement. It stuck.

Many sheep left the altcoin markets because of the perceived decline of ICOs due to new government oversight. The thinking here is that they'd better sell now before the whole crypto inductry gets banned or heavily regulated. Only the strong hands, the veterans who see this as an opportunity.

Even if they regulate it strongly, crypto will get around it one day or the other. See Bitcoin and how successful China "regulated" it. Harsh regulation will affect crypto only temporarily as the smart minds will come up with more and more decentralized apps as an answer to regulation. I am optimistic.

TaaS has made very profitable investments in past in different projects and now they have formed partnerships to open investment opportunity for investors into Matchpool. Matchpool has physical investment pools already which we saw during crowdfunding time. Dating industry with variety of options on which Matchpool is working will make it attractive for investment and successful for everyone.

But when will the first application be ready for the dating industry?

Do note that dating is only a small sector that Matchpool is covering. There is so many sectors that be used in the Matchpool platform.
The Beta will be released end of year. Do note that Alpha 2.0 is going to be released in a few weeks. This consists of integrating GUP token into the platform, hence the GUP token will finally be able to use according to the latest vlog just released:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hD21RJem8jg

And they are also going to do financial reports for greater transparency!  Smiley

This is good news. So dating will be the very first app that they are going to launch? Or will there be another one right from the start? What kind of apps are on the list thus far?

Many people say that the value of this coin is underestimated, but I can not read it, do not understand it's technology, do not understand it's good, someone out to explain what?

Take a look at the wiki that is linked in the first post.

As far as I understand this coin, the devs want to equip it with a variety of proven anonymity technologies. Not sure if it's unique or practical in the end.

This guy got it!  Wink I'm not sure if it will stay unique, but I'm sure it will be practical, and that is the goal.

But what is the reason for mixing up all those anonymity technologies? I mean, did you thoroughly think about it and then came to the conclusion that that is the superior anon solution? Or are you just going to do it for fun?

We have decided to move to telegram because of too much spam reports coming in from our slack members.
channel link: t.me/blockoptions
handler : @blockoptions

but if you have questions and need answers in real time, you can post them here...

regards

This slack bot spam stuff is insanely annoying. It is ridiculous that you can't really do anything against that except for leaving slack...
737  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Iridium - Cryptonight PoW - NO Premine - Fair Launch - Low Supply - NEW! on: September 28, 2017, 03:11:48 PM
There are lot of miners coming and difficulty has increased so much, which is good and bad both :-)

As long as the increase is due to new and different miners and not just the result of a couple people adding more rigs, you are correct it is good. What is bad is just a handful of people thinking it is better to get all the coins to themselves rather than distributing them to a larger audience. The only thing that will make the coin successful in the long run is a wide distribution.

It's just greed. Almost every single coin (and probably every asset on earth) has to suffer from greedy people. "Wide distribution" is a natural impossibility I guess. High concentration of ownership in just a few hands sounds more like human being...

Indeed. I have always been amazed at what people would do for money. It's pathetic.

And it's not just about what they are willing to do to others for money, but even to themselves! They have no clue about sustainability and how much good solidarity or fairness can do to society as a whole. That's how it is...

So true. It really makes me sad. I hate money, just because of what people will do to get it. If I didn't need it to live, I wouldn't have any! I've had a lot of it, and I've had none of it and I'd have to say, I had more peace when I had none but I had no responsibilities at that time.
::Shrugs::

It's a difficult topic. The problem is the imbalance. Money should be the key to food and education and housing. It's too much if people die because they lack money. In the Western world, money is the key to so much more beyond the things you really need to live while others can't afford to live at all.

Hello,

We opened a new mining pool with friends : unimining.net with NevaCoin minable on it. Mining fee of 0% until 1/12 then 0.5-1%.

We didn't add NevaCoin because it is profitable to mine but we found its concept kind and human. I've never used NevaCoin as a gift or birthday present but its non-financial concept is interesting. We chosed to sustain and decentralize its network: let's mine NevaCoin with us on unimining.net.

Mining fee of 0% until 1/12? What does that mean? Like until December?
