I like the coin's design and I am interested in maybe purchasing a couple different ones!
If you are selling one could you post a picture + asking price.
I bought from digicoinuser here https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1091843.0;all a couple different times and was totally happy.

That is not accurate. I don't understand why there is so much confusion but I'm going to take a shot at explaining this one more time.
There is no VAT on the value of the coins themselves in any scenario whatsoever. However keep in mind that this is only in the case of the auction / group buy, normally VAT would affect things differently. In this case any VAT related to the coins we have already included in the sales prices of the auction (which means that we take any hit from the VAT in relation to the coin sales prices).
I have now confirmed there will be VAT on any EU ***SHIPPING COSTS*** and no VAT on any outside EU ***SHIPPING COSTS***.
The effect of the VAT on ***SHIPPING COSTS*** will be insignificant. We are talking 0,5 € per shipping participant *at most*. And if you reroute through somewhere else, it will very likely cost more overall because we have a good courier option to Mitchell's country.
Hopefully this is now clear.
Okay, so it sounds like the VAT is on the shipping costs only, not the coin value? If that's the case, then definitely sounds like a better deal to stick with the plan of shipping to Mitchell.

Hm, so if there is no VAT going to the US, wouldn't it make sense to do a US group buy and an EU group buy separately? This seems like it would benefit the US participants in this group buy, myself included, if shipped straight to the US, while not changing much regarding the EU participants (who will get hit with VAT no matter what).
I know the shipping is more expensive to the US, but a 24% VAT if shipped to the EU would tack on about 24 EUR to each coin. For one coin they wanted nearly 50 EUR just for shipping to the US, IIRC, but if 10 or 15 coins were shipped, they'd be sending it all in one package, and I wouldn't imagine it would cost more than 80 EUR (I don't know this, we'd have to find that out). If that's the case, then 10 coins (as an example) shipped to the US would be around 8 EUR each, plus the domestic shipping from the "trusted 3rd party."
If they were to ship to an EU middle-man, every US buyer would get hit with 24 EUR VAT plus international shipping.

I also picked up another coin using the new discount code (BTW Denarium updated the page and now there are now around 25 of the Empty 1 BTC coins shown as in stock. Was down to one remaining coin in stock a couple days ago).
That brings my total to 2 coins for the group buy. Thanks ezeminer (and technomage)!

New in box Verizon branded Moto E cell phone. Sealed, never opened. More info: https://www.verizonwireless.com/prepaid/smartphone-plans/moto-e-in-black+prepaid/?gclid=CKnVqovT8MkCFYZXNwodMm0MdQ&gclsrc=dsThis is branded as Verizon but has GSM bands (ATT, Tmo) in addition to CDMA bands (Verizon, Sprint), so it can accept a SIM from almost any carrier in the world. Asking 0.1 BTC (Shipped, US only). I have 3 to sell. I've been on the forums a while. Haven't been active the last year or 2. So escrow OK by me, you pay escrow fee. These make great primary or backup phones. I use mine as WiFi only device to hold encrypted backups of my Bitcoin wallets, Google Authenticator keys, etc. You could us it as a music player (has expandable storage via micro SD) or dedicated family Chromecast device. Runs Android Lollipop. Comes with a protective case.

I personally unsealed a Titan btc which appeared perfectly sealed, with a witness present, about 4 weeks ago. I've been in a protracted conversation with Tim Fillmore, their President, since then, when I discovered that the coin had no private key, but instead a "2fa code" underneath the sticker, and Tim is saying that this coin has already been redeemed, using the 2fa code and the email address of the original coin owner. Here's a thread about it: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1208618.msg13309129#msg13309129Supplying some pictures of what you see under your hologram would be helpful here, and go a long way to adding some legitimacy to your claim.

Technomage PMed me the code to enter at checkout. Order placed! Is there anything else I need to do now?

PMed you just now Replied to your PM. Thanks so much! Coins arrived today. Wow, that was fast. PMing you to buy more

It's best to PM me if you want to participate in the group shipping. As I will need to set up a free shipping coupon code so you're not paying for the shipping. This needs to be done in addition to putting "group shipping" in the information.
PMed you yesterday

Add me for a 1 BTC silver piece. I'm in the states.
What do I do from here? Complete the buy order at denarium.com and just list "Group Buy" as the shipping destination?
|
|
|
The issue has to do with the silver in the coin. Postal services have different rules about sending precious metals vs 'ordinary' metals to different countries. The weight difference between a 1/10 bass coin and 1 btc silver coins is trivial.
Ah okay, that's seems like a strange rule, but I get it now. Just have to decide if I want to suck it up and pay that shipping cost for the coin. It sure does look nice... Depending on which country you are in, there was a group-buy that being hosted (not sure if it still on-going or not) by a few members. The silver coin would be shipped from Finland to UK (much cheaper shipping) and then from UK to USA / Canada since there aren't rules about shipping silver from UK to USA. You might want to ask around. Shipping would be painful to pay. [/quote] Sweet! If anyone knows about the group buy, PM me. I'm in.

I'd like to preorder the 1 BTC silver, but after putting in the shipping destination in my cart it quotes shipping price as nearly 60 EUR. Is there a cheaper shipping option I'm missing, or is this the only option? http://imgur.com/br5XMwgThere is not. At least not from them directly. Some countries require them to use DHL, as their local mail service doesn't allow them to ship silver to those countries. DHL is more expensive so you have to pay more for shipping. This has been explained in this thread but I'm on my phone so it's a bit hard to find that specific post. Sorry. That's strange, because I was able to order their 1/10 coins for shipping around 14 EUR. Different shipping requirement for this particular coin? Look: http://imgur.com/MBLt0SS

I'm a bit new to the auctions here. What does escrow typically cost for a trade like this, and what kind of swag are we talkin?

I'm using the widget. Does it auto update? Would love the option to set custom auto-update times.

As someone who recently switched to WafflePool, I'm glad poolwaffle was on top of this. I'm a small time, 3-card miner, so it doesn't mean a lot of increased payouts for me, but from an "exploit the exploiters" perspective, I applaud you, poolwaffle. You helped derail a shady-ish scheme to gain hashrate.
BTW I love your site and how payouts, etc are set up. This is my first "profit-based" mining experience and I'm really glad I switched over. Keep it up!
