1  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Would you invest in Mining Company IEO? on: July 30, 2019, 01:43:24 PM
Mintmine is doing a mining IEO. Mining, unlike some other crypto niche is extremely profitable.

Has anyone else done a mining IEO before? How did tokens perform?
2  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / HUOBI and CHANGENOW notified that the Bitrue hack, won't allow XRP and ADA dumps on: June 27, 2019, 01:22:44 PM
https://chainbulletin.com/another-crypto-exchange-hacked-this-time-for-4-2-million/

XRP and ADA have not had the best bull run. This hack could have completely destroyed the price.

Props on Bitrue for the way they handled the situation - everyone gets refunded and the hacker cannot dump. Good job to Huobi, ChangeNOW and Bittrex too.
3  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is IEO Profitable than ICO's? on: April 30, 2019, 01:32:00 PM
IEO-s on reputable exchanges like Binance Huobi Bittrex - yes.
IEO on garbage exchange - irrelevant.
4  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Veriblock is spamming the BTC network. Is this bad, or positive for LN adoption? on: April 07, 2019, 06:39:42 PM
I've been seeing many complaint about network spam by Veriblock IEO. Fees are now higher but apparently LN capacity is also mooning.

https://chainbulletin.com/veriblock-is-using-27-of-bitcoins-block-space/

What is your opinion on the matter? Should devs kick Veriblock, or allow them to spam the network to get more LN nodes?
5  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: DLease.io - Steem-based Startup Offering Passive Returns to Crypto "Hodlers" wit on: March 26, 2019, 08:41:39 PM
I doubt this could even make up for the loss in price in Steem - especially once EOS announce a competitor for Steemit - Steem will basically become obsolete.
6  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Altcoin is right for investment?? on: March 26, 2019, 08:40:13 PM
How do you choose altcoin in the current conditions, when you want to invest in cryptocurrency? Do you see the price or popularity? Share your suggestions and I will appreciate it. Thank you for your comments, success is always for us all.
You look for an altcoin that has been oversold, or you look for an altcoin that you believe will be hyped up soon and try to buy in before this happens (and you hold accordingly). Never buy at the top or immediately after a pump.
7  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: What do you think about Bitcoin Gold? on: March 23, 2019, 02:49:29 PM
It is BY FAR the most pathetic shitcoin on the market.
Greedy devs saw that BCH was able to sustain its value and many newcomers to crypto thought that it was only because of it being a fork (without realising it is really because a lot of the original bitcoin community was backing it and saw it as a continuation of the bitcoin they knew and loved).

So they took advantage and decided to scam those people, who hoped of a similar success story and pumps like BCH had. Of course there would be none, as BTG does not have its Roger Ver, Calvin Ayre, Rick Falkvinge, Emil, Jihan, Haipo, etc...

Their stated goal was to become A MORE SECURE BITCOIN that's more resilient to 51% attacks - and they became one of the first coins to be successfully 51% attacked. This should tell you how much of a joke they are.
The fact of the matter is that I don’t want to trust the double of my rating rating No, because they may not be of real value. In any case, we must understand that today, the son of these projects can only hold on to the fact that some, even if they want to sell, no one will buy. Because of this, the price is still at the same level.
Indeed, you are correct. This does not result in a quick dump, because every seller knows they can barely get anything for their coin and hodl with false hopes. The end result - price slowly bleeds. I expect the same to happen here.
8  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Huobi vs BNB on: March 23, 2019, 02:47:34 PM
Hey guys! What are your predictions on Huobi token. Will it beat BNB? Check the analysis below.

https://coinstelegram.com/2019/03/21/action-has-begun-huobi-and-ht-follows-binance-and-bnb/
Binance is clearly doing market manipulation with its pumps and ICO-s, and they're only letting their friends in on the fun. If Huobi can offer better experience, they can overtake Binance, and I'm sure that's what they're aiming for.
9  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The Cryptopia fiasco - Only 77 of 459 projects secured on: March 23, 2019, 02:45:54 PM
https://chainbulletin.com/cryptopia-sheds-light-on-the-amount-of-funds-stolen-by-hackers/

With the amount of funds stolen by hackers being no more than the exchange's income, I think we might see cryptopia live at one point. NZ Government is looking closely so I don't think there's a big chance that owners can run with the money - they'll cover the cost of the hack which is not small. But I do believe cryptopia will return as a solvent exchange, even if it loses all credibility and needs to close down eventually it will repay all user's funds.

I like how this thread is titled "The Cryptopia Fiasco" and the second article in your link is "A refreshing example of good crisis management  Grin.

https://chainbulletin.com/cryptopia-a-refreshing-example-of-good-crisis-management/

Clearly there's room for debate on the subject, very polar opinions.
10  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Is kin good to buy on: March 22, 2019, 03:55:03 PM
Considering how many people talk about KIN and how low its price is I think it is a good buy. Kik is extremely popular with teenagers and I don't see Kin disappearing anytime soon.

12  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: 2019 icos on: March 21, 2019, 12:08:50 PM
I think this year may be generally the worst in the history of ico, few people want to invest and be deceived , I think the place will take ieo
Offerings on centralized services are honestly better than decentralized standard ICO-s at least until the market matures.
I was hoping to see companies dedicated to background research for ICO-s that would help investors.
Instead, exchanges became those same companies.
Fine by me. The problem is, Binance is totally scamming with their IEOs so we will again have to wait for more market maturity.
13  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why My Ether Wallet Showing So Much Balance on: March 21, 2019, 12:07:28 PM
Hello,

I have seen today morning this huge pump in my account, I have nothing transfer and none of transfer in my account. Why this is showing ??

The price that's being displayed is calculated by a centralized service that obviously has its bugs. Doesn't matter what the bug is, clear the cache and refresh the page and if they've fixed it on their end you'll see your real balance - if not, try again tomorrow.
14  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin vs Bitcoin Cash on: March 21, 2019, 12:06:17 PM
I already understood that many people agree that the BCH project, which was created only to earn money from us, and as it turns out today, he is still alive and he is working and he is even pumped up with money. Do you think that there are reasons for this?
Because the first part of your post is blatantly wrong.
Study crypto history. See the people who started Bitcoin and were here in 2010?
How many of them support BTC? How many of them support BCH?
If you do background research you won't need to ask the other questions.
15  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: STEEM will rise again on: March 20, 2019, 09:09:57 PM
Has Dan Larimer given up on creating a Steemit on EOS. If he does, Steem is finished. Traffic is already decreasing in anticipation. I don't think this coin has a bright future, Steemit has been mismanaged and it's hard to fix what's broken.
16  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Is DASH still a good long term viable project? on: March 20, 2019, 09:08:17 PM
Dash is amazing at what it does, and groundbreaking at times with its instant transactions. It serves a great purpose for humanity, it has a great community that helps people in need, Venezuelians most recently. But I don't think any of this matters for its price action.
17  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Binance: $BNB The Future of Exchanges. on: March 20, 2019, 08:45:46 PM
One or two more ICO-s where no-one outside of China manages to get in, and people will simply stop hoping to make it into a profitable launchpad ICO and stop buying BNB. The profitable ICO-s are already priced in, so it could easily go downward. People are already incredibly unhappy with Binance, calling for boycotts...
18  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What to do if you are deceived? on: March 18, 2019, 08:07:36 PM
Most jurisdictions would punish scammers, but your hopes of recovering funds are ... well you better forget about it. The best thing you can do after being deceived is extracting the right lesson from the situation and never putting yourself in a similar situation.
19  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What are the requirements to have a successful ICO launch for project? on: March 18, 2019, 07:43:47 PM
Hi guys

I want to know what a project needs to have a successful ICO launch, my team and I are in the process of launching one for an invoice discounting platform we have been working on for the past few months. Any feedback from the community is very valuable to us.
The ICOs that gathered the most money have been the criminal ones - no KYC, no AML all help you raise more. If you're a douche you can also give private investors 50% bonus that they can dump on investors afterwards, it also helps.
But if you want to be a good person, the best way to optimize your earnings is to make use of all possible types of exposure - ICO listing sites, this forum, reddit, even 4chan and bodybuilding.com. Spend some money on good value-for-money news websites, too.
20  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Litecoins are on the up on: March 18, 2019, 07:40:01 PM
Keep your eye on Litecoins they are on the up again They are up over 183% in 2019 so far,  Its gone from $30 up to $61. Smiley
Not a fan of Buy High Sell Low and LTC has risen a lot, in part, thanks to some finally becoming its own coin with original development.
But unless they announce some other amazing feature, it's going back to the bottom.
I'd rather buy a coin that has bottomed out.
