hm... Undecided
according to whattomine zec has less profit than eth mining at least for my GTX 970
22  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Claymore's ZCash AMD GPU Miner v6.0 on: November 16, 2016, 05:39:27 AM
one astounding problem

I have 4 390 and 1 390x on one rig
all 390 do around 170 also my crappy gigabyte at 1020 core clock
but my HIS 390x can only hash 155
I checked core clock and also increased power limit, core clock is stable at 1070.
could it be due to bad riser?!
23  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Hacked Modified Memory Strap BIOS Database for ZEC MINING! on: November 12, 2016, 07:17:15 AM
I wonder is there anything for 280x with hynix BFR memory.
Seems no one done for those.

Just ask ... will always mod for you  Wink

Download https://drive.google.com/open?id=0B6R3UoULhg3cbWYwVlYzNmUtSGc

Modded with straps from 1250MHz --> 1375MHz , 1500MHz  (1500MHz Should kick ass - ~80+ sols/sec)

p.s.1 - Flash with AtiFlash.exe from command prompt,  atiflash -f -p X rom_name.rom  , x = card number given by atiflash -i

p.s.2 - This is not some "Dirty hack" with timing tables from some totally other card, but timing table from same card's bios, for that specific memory (BFR).

b.r.
Brka

can i use on msi r9 280 (with out x)?

10x for the thread dude.
What frequencies are you using?

I modified my bioses almost an year ago for better EHT mining. For those who cant use a HEX editor, try out this repository:
https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1odJXgWbHUcIS9fAxaXB-nPD8WWH1sBdd_XBOe3F3jo0/edit?pref=2&pli=1#gid=0

Just find your GPU (which might not be very easy).

ya but all links are dead!

Hi Claymore
I am getting blow error repeatedly on ver 2.1 with " -i 2"

"GPU returned incorrect data! ....."

but it does not specify which GPU !
where is problem

28  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: RX480 (Reference) 31+Mh, Custom Rom on: September 13, 2016, 05:35:21 AM
Thanks again Heliox
now i am using your low power rom, i replaced main parameters in my original roms with your settings and left other (like subvendor ID and .. ) unchanged also i left memory at 8 gb.
now my cards (3 asus and 3 gigabyte) hash around 30.5,  work around 70-80 C at 65% fan speed , gpuz shows between 90-100 watt.
other parts
asrock h81 btc
16 gb ram
g 3220
1200 oc power

whole system drawn out 1150 at wall , i think i have should missed something because other report better power consumption.
also wattman doesn't accept changes for power limit and or core freq.

I appropriate any help
29  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Claymore's Dual Ethereum AMD+NVIDIA GPU Miner v6.3 (Windows/Linux) on: August 26, 2016, 06:10:04 AM
Am I doing something wrong? I see many people here running 6 X RX480 on the BTC PRO MB and Win7 and Win10, I have the same setup using powered risers and with 6 cards can't even get to post. Most I got working is 4 cards. I have the MB running 295 X2 GPU, 3 of them for a total of 6 GPU's fine, but no dice with the 480's. Am I missing something?

How many GPU's do you have on device manager and what are their status?
30  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: RX480 (Reference) 31+Mh, Custom Rom on: August 18, 2016, 06:46:34 PM
can i use this rom for asus 8 gb?
31  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: How will this change the world of mining?? GTX 1080 / 1070 on: July 13, 2016, 08:25:04 AM
The zotac 1070 amp extreme is in, here some considerations:

- it's HUGE! long, fat and high: the biggest and heaviest card I've ever seen; possible issue for building rigs.
- cooling is very efficient.
- leds are so bright they light up all the room at night.
- TDP range is 125 -> 250; unfortunately it can't go lower than 125, which may be an issue for miners.
- two 8 pin pcie power cables; I would have preferred at least one of the two was 6 pins, another possible issue for miners.
- neoscrypt performance is excellent: more than a megahash with just 125 W!
- most other algos are 10-15% faster than 980ti but with 2/3 the power usage.

All in all I'm very satisfied but the next 1070 that I will buy will be a gigabyte G1 gaming.

why two 8 pin power connector if it uses around 150 W ?!
32  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: One way to undervolt R9 300 series cards by BIOS mod on: July 08, 2016, 07:15:54 PM
I tried to undervolt my gigabyte r9 390 via  this method, as you know these cards are voltage locked!
i started with 1060 as final voltage and go up to 1130...
but no success, stability issue in dual mining, any further voltage does not has considerable effect on temperature Undecided
33  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Claymore's Dual Ethereum+Decred GPU Miner v4.1 (Windows/Linux) on: May 09, 2016, 01:10:09 PM
Hi Claymore

Could you please check 390x coreclock issue, when i mine with genoil miner clock is same as msi afterburner setting
but with your miner it drops around 950 with slight fluctuations.

34  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Claymore's Dual Ethereum+Decred GPU Miner v4.1 (Windows/Linux) on: May 08, 2016, 10:53:23 AM
hmm..
I have problem with 4.1 version
I have 4 cards on one of my rigs

r9 280x
r9 280x
7970
r9 390x

i adjust core clock for each card in msi afterburner, but when i start miner 390x downclocks to around 950 MHz, this is not throttling because temp is blow 70C for all cards!
35  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Claymore's Dual Ethereum+Decred GPU Miner v3.3 on: April 26, 2016, 10:22:36 AM
is it possible to specify cards by name?
it seems different order between msi afterburner and miner

hmm..
my miner crash after some hours, this is the error report
Code:
Cuda error in func 'decred_cpu_setBlock_52' at line 321 : unknown error.

any idea about this?
37  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] cudaMiner & ccMiner CUDA based mining applications [Windows/Linux/MacOSX] on: February 16, 2016, 06:43:48 AM
Hi guys,

I was thinking to buy a graphic card for mining. Nvidia 950, 960 or 970. Do you know what is the actual hashrate for these cards for x11, x13, x15, quark, lyra2rev2 ? I have free electricity and cooling so i do not care about the consumption and air conditioning.

thank you  Smiley
gee

buy amd cards specially used 280x is the best option

does these improvements contain R9 300 series?

40  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Assessing the impact of TLB trashing on memory hard algorhitms on: December 14, 2015, 08:32:16 AM
is this issue just related to bandwidth, gtx970 has less bandwidth than 280x.
and what about Maxwell GPU?
