I got a problem here.
6 cards in a rig. R9 390. 1100/1500 +50 power lim.
Win 8.1
Driver 15.12
12 gb memory
H81 pro btc + g1840
The problem is miner hangs when 1 card goes to 0 speed. Can't even close the window with miner. Only reboot helps.

I have the same problem, GPU0 hangs, I cant close window only reboot helps. I got 290x 15.12 driver, stock settings.

Using what?

Changing 2.0 to 3.1 gave nice boost for my 290x & 290... 52Sols/s + 48 Sols = 100Sols/s -> 65 + 58 = 123 Sols/s
No change in 7950 and 280...Can't use -i because of weak CPU..

If you guys are getting your 290/390 hanging and you can't close the window, don't use "-i 1" or "-i 2".

I am getting the same issue as everyone here. Every rig is fine except one 6 GPU rig with a few 290s.

It hangs and you cant close the program , need to reboot.

I think the issue is that with regular mining, the GPU used little bandwidth to communicate with the CPU so the cheap ribbon or usb risers were fine.

But now with huge 100-200MB/s bandwidth going thru the ribbons which probably have interference with the surroundings is causing problems.

I dont think 100Sol/s or higher will be possible with any risers. Nicehash is releasing a new Nvidia miner capable of 50-60Sol/s and they are having issues with the risers also.

ITs also the reason why some of us get "gpu get incorrect data" because its sent back to the CPU and the ribbon messes up the data and you get incorrect sahres.

Try running with -i 0

Nicehash is releasing a new Nvidia miner capable of 50-60Sol/s and they are having issues with the risers also. Sources for this?
Thats why i always say invest wise in hardware so i bought EVGA FTW-K X99 doing 5x PCIe 3.0 8x and Asus X99 WS-E/3.1 doing 16x/8x/8x/8x/8x/8x/8x and having proper PCIe Risers for 16x will do all fine.
Or the Asrock BTC Kit

Unless you are using those x16 to x16 risers, you will get issues anyways.

Problem is you are transfering around ~500MB/s on the PCIe 2.0 x1 to the CPU and there are interference issues because the thin ribbon or the cheap USB 3.0 cable can't handle the bandwidth properly.

I think the riser issue was resolved. The duplicate check was moved from the host code to the gpu to reduce the bandwidth.

Mine run at PCIe 3.0 x1 not 2.0 and I use the ASrock BTC Kit which uses 2 SATa 3.0 Cables..i have no issues even I use a old e4300 on a 630i Nforce mobo.

There is no Release yet with faster speed..and no release of the guy who posted the topic and from nicehash there is nothing new on github.

Running v3.1 on a 280x, getting between 55-60H/s

I tried OCing using MSI Afterburner, but most settings just either:

In a couple of hours I'll release next update, up to 100H/s on stock 390/390X.

Please read Readme and FAQ in the first post of this thread before asking any questions, probably the answer is already there.
