341  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Mining at a loss: Insurmountable Problem in the near future or am I mistaken? on: August 03, 2011, 08:38:53 PM
I will keep my mining rigs running no matter what.  I'll completely cover the electricity costs if needed (provided I have a job to pay) at full loss.
So, there is no cost problem for me personally such as pointed out by the OP.

We must do something to change/replace this central bank monetary system that is destroying the western world.  If bitcoin fails, then something similar but better must be created to replace it.  Bitcoin may not be the best possible thing, but please tell me a better avenue available.  Bitcoin is way more important than any monetary benefit, at least to me anyway.

Have to love the idiotic argument that "you don't pay for electricity".

Someone, somewhere is paying for it. Be it your parents, the landlord of a school building or someone else you leech off. And someone will notice eventually (not in the case of 1 CPU, but in the case of 10, 20, 100, someone will eventually notice)

Esp. in the case of parents, you are just stealing from your own family.
They have to pay $120 in electricity bills so that you can earn $60 dollars. It makes absolutely no sense and only a juvenile would do something like this.

I know what ur talking about..but i have the nice possiblity to have my rigs in an really big industriaö/nightlife areal and pay a flatrate..the club next to me sucks down more electricity in one weekend then i do in one month (i have 12kw/h 24/7)..aner there around 20 clubs there..

i just have been lucky with the location..

of course i would never steal beeing an anarcho-capitalist & objectivist..and let me tell u i can do simple math..but ur right...these "fake" arguments are made too often..
346  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Gomez Peer + Bitcoin Mining = Success! on: July 25, 2011, 09:34:16 PM
My whole point with gomez mining and using cpus is that Bitcoin mining with cpus will payout more.

So why the hell go the gomez mining route lol

It`s called diversification..I already have 37 5870 & 1 6990 running...

Gomez also sucks down a lot of bandwidth, and if you're like me, and have to pay for it, you end up losing money.
I stopped doing Gomez as soon as I discovered bitcoins Smiley

dont pay for bandwith  so i dont care

Quote

OMG, with your 10 CPUs it's even gonna be a while before you get these 5 BTC back.

CPU mining is just that, plain stupid.

diversification again..

of course i only had a quick glance and assumed if the best can achieve 45$ after a while i can get 450 $ Cheesy but I did not  look at the timeframe yet..this isn`t monthly right ?

If you want to blow money just for fun I recomend hookers and/or drugs.

This

+1 ...the very best is the hooker & the drugs between my mining rigs

348  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Gomez Peer + Bitcoin Mining = Success! on: July 25, 2011, 03:53:51 PM
i would use it as i dont pay for my power and could have 10cpu`s for it Cheesy

but all my rigs run linux so ther is no possbility it seems!

is there any way it could still work???

would pay a bounty of 5 BTC for the person creating a linux program which can connect there !

Ist nur etwas schwierig zu beweisen, wer die Empfangsadresse besitzt, wenn die nicht irgendwo öffentlich vermerkt ist. Man könnte damit also z.B. keine Waren kaufen etc.
Ohmann, das hab ich im Rausch meiner Idee überhaupt nicht bedacht...

Update: SecureCoin.org ist nun auch in englischer Sprache verfügbar

solltest auch deine news anpassen!

356  Other / CPU/GPU Bitcoin mining hardware / Re: 6990 best settings? is okay together with 1x5870? on: July 23, 2011, 02:29:54 PM
okay tried it with 925,850  works stable OC switch at standard position but i only get 280mh/s on bioth cores?? what am i doing wrong Sad the 5870 runs at 404mh/s stable with 950/300
357  Other / CPU/GPU Bitcoin mining hardware / Re: 6990 best settings? is okay together with 1x5870? on: July 23, 2011, 02:04:39 PM
990mhz is an absolutely insane overclock. Don't start with stuff like that, not to mention the fact most 6990's can't take those frequencies (even if they can you'll have to up the voltage leading in too much power consumption compared to the extra hashrate)

I find 920MHz a stable frequency which yields about 410mhash/s per core for a total of 820mhash/s per card.
920 is my sweet spot too, but I cant get my memory down below 1250, I've tried the 11.6 drivers but there's a bug which prevents the current memory clock actually changing with aticonfig. AmdOverdriveCTRL does exactly the same.
Do you have any tips?

I might just flash the bios with RBE if there's no other solution.

okay i tried but the cards hang em up!

did u move the OC switch???

920/820 is my setting right now..

however without OCing them they work..but first core at around 290mh and second at 350mh
