21  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why do some government ban bitcoin? on: May 12, 2018, 02:55:26 AM
China-based cryptocurrency exchange BTCC suspended all domestic trading in yuan last weekend. The decision came on the heels of a September 5 statement from regulatory authorities in China, which required all domestic cryptocurrency exchanges publish closing announcements, stop registering new users, and establish a schedule to cease yuan-denominated trading by September 15. Huobi and OKCoin — two other exchanges based in China — have announced similar plans to stop trading. To be clear: China has not banned the use of cryptocurrencies. It has banned cryptocurrency exchanges and initial coin offerings (ICOs). Even still, it has prompted some to consider whether a government might ban cryptocurrencies like bitcoin — and, perhaps more importantly, whether such a ban would be effective Smiley Smiley Smiley
Some government banned bitcoin because they can't control it, maybe that is the reason why bitcoin was banned in some country. And also due to money laundering because of this due to illegal use of bitcoin government in some country banned bitcoin.

Dispelling Some of the Most Common Arguments Against Crypto

Once in a while, every crypto-enthusiast will run into somebody who is skeptical of the industry altogether. People like this usually have never invested before, or did once but lost their money. As somebody who cares about the field of cryptocurrency and has invested several times in the past, it can be mind-numbing and frustrating to hear the opinions of people who have only ever read headlines and soundbites regarding the topic.

Make note, it is reasonable to be skeptical of cryptocurrency and present some well-researched arguments against them, but the people being referred to here are those that know very little about the industry and have no noticeable desire to get acquainted with it.

Here are some of the most common arguments you will hear against cryptocurrency (either from people you know or from news outlets) and some simple responses to them.

“Cryptocurrency is a pyramid scheme.”
Occasionally, I will run into a person who claims that cryptocurrency (or more specifically bitcoin) is a pyramid scheme and that only those who were first to the market will be able to make a reasonable profit from it.

While it is true that the earliest adopters of coins like bitcoin and ether have seen the most significant increases in their profits – this does not make it a pyramid scheme. Pyramid schemes are structured so that subordinate investors must pay or hand over a percentage of earnings to a higher level investor. This is not the case with cryptocurrency— if you head to an exchange to buy a coin, it is possible you will be buying from somebody who is at the same level as you (i.e., they invested around the same time you did). This is not possible with pyramid schemes since the only way to make money is to recruit new members. With cryptocurrency, you can trade and exchange with new or old investors. Also note, the main aim of cryptocurrency is not necessarily to get new investors since the price of a coin does not exactly rise due to adoption. Positive news regarding programming updates, partnerships, and new features can also just as quickly raise the price of a coin.

“Cryptocurrency is only used to buy drugs and launder money.”
This statement is commonly used by media outlets as a way to discredit the entire industry and the technology behind it. The best way to refute this statement is to briefly explain the nature of the blockchain and the sheer level of transparency that cryptocurrency offers. Most people who do not know anything about the industry get the impression that using this currency automatically masks your identity and your movements.

Explain to them that most coins have a global database of transactions which can freely be viewed by anybody. This, alone, is enough to discourage people from laundering money and purchasing illicit substances since law enforcement, the IRS, and other government bodies can track purchases with more ease than fiat.

“There is no underlying. value”
This is a half-truth. While cryptocurrency does not rest its value on assets like gold or land, it instead derives value from its developers and its code. Arguably, this is similar to how legal tender derives its value from its government and laws. Similar to how a decision or press conference from the President can affect the price of USD, an announcement from a lead developer can affect the price of Litecoin.

“It is too late to make money.”
I have personally found this argument to be said by people who only know of one cryptocurrency: bitcoin. Generally, the easiest way to open their mind is to show them that CoinMarketCap actually lists over 1500 coins and tokens. Of course, only a fraction of them are worth investment, but it proves that the industry is expansive.

New coins and tokens are constantly entering the market, many of which shoot up in price significantly after a while. One coin that has not had a long history, but is valued highly, is Nano. The coin only came into existence in early 2017, but in the space of a little over a year it has risen to the 28th spot. The main reason for this is the team it has and the technology it runs on. Finding a new coin with a great set of programmers and impressive code can be one way of making money in the industry. Of course, it is not the only way. The much larger coins like bitcoin, ether, and monero are still considered good investments now— this is because people still think the technology is undervalued. If that is the case, then it certainly is not too late to make money.

23  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What will happen to bitcoin in the near future? on: May 10, 2018, 09:40:43 AM
Recently, bitcoin has been showing steady growth. He slowly overcame the first resistance line of $ 10,000, now approaching a new line of$12,000.

I see two options for further developments.

1. Bitcoin consolidates above 12000$ a sharp increase in prices that will allow Aldona to begin to move forward.
2. Bitcoin goes for correction to$ 9500 and breaks new heights with new forces.

Here's my technical analysis chart. Who that thinks?
https://www.tradingview.com/x/D9TGyKlY/
In my own opinion about bitcoin in the near future, Bitcoin community will expand and will be leggalized all over the world;D And the use of bitcoin is the number 1, regarding in the use of payment.
24  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: what are the common challenges for bitcoin user? on: May 07, 2018, 08:18:06 AM
As we all know bitcoin has come long way in the eight or so years its been in existence, but their's still long way to go before the digital currency becomes a widely used method of paying for goods and services.
we should know.
1.what challenges are facing bitcoin?
2. how we can prevent it?
3. how we should face those challenges?
The common challenges of bitcoin user for me is his widespeard acceptance, because we all know that bitcoin is not us freely accepted all over the world, only in several country bitcoin is accepted. I think if it will be legal, i think people will accept it already.
25  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can government destroy Bitcoin? on: May 07, 2018, 05:39:40 AM
As recently government are banning bitcoin in some countries. Do you think can government distroy bitcoin?

Yes i think it is possible that government can destroy bitcoin. If all the government around the world banned bitcoin that is the time that bitcoin will destroy. Because no one can use bitcoin if it is banned, we all know that bitcoin depends to those people who use it.
26  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Legalization bitcoin on: May 05, 2018, 09:02:11 AM
when will legalization bitcoin? why this does not happen? are there any countries that have legalized bitcoin?
or already somehow now it is possible to legalize the income received from Bitcoin?
There are some country legalized bitcoin, countries just like US and canada. But some country banned it also because some oblivious person use bitcoin in illegal way and it cause money laundering. I hope that someday bitcoin will be legalized all over the world.
27  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: Criminals and Bitcoin on: May 05, 2018, 03:22:36 AM
I have seen some news regarding hackers, terrorists, and other criminals using bitcoin for illegal trades.
How the police can find about these transactions?
Even if is hard to track illegal transactions, I don't think that Bitcoin can be a danger to society, since the problem is the society and its people.
Since the beginning of the internet this is happening ( the bad people committing crimes)  and no one is willing to shutdown internet because of that, so in that matters Bitcoin should be equivalent. I think those illegal transaction are one of the reasons some governments and the media are trying to depreciate bitcoin, but the problem is not Crypto/blockchain or Bitcoin, is just the society.
It is not impossible to find out how police find a transaction because police is connected to the government. And the government have a lots of intelligence to determine how is committed a crime. Once the government know who committed a crime the that is the time police implement a law. The number 1 problem is not a bitcoin, the problem is the society or the person also who use bitcoin in illegal way.

https://www.google.com.ph/amp/s/amp.theguardian.com/technology/2018/feb/28/bill-gates-cryptocurrencies-deaths-bitcoin-steve-wozniak-scam

Ikaw kabayan ano ang iyong opinyon sa pahayag ni bill gates on 'cryptocurrency have cause deaths in a fairly direct way'.
29  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: When you first know about bitcoin what was the price? on: April 28, 2018, 08:15:55 AM

When the first time i meet bitcoin year back 2015. At that time the value of bitcoin is almost $395–$504. And the only thing i know to earn bitcoin is a app called freebitcoin. But it can cause a lot of time to earn because they have a minimum amout in order to cash out.
30  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Taking Courses to learn about Bitcoin on: April 28, 2018, 03:47:59 AM
Has anyone taken a course online on sites like Udemy to learn about bitcoin? I just received a coupon to enroll in a bitcoin course for free. Would it be worth the time?
If anyone has any experience, do share.
for me i think there is no need to take a course in order to learn bitcoin. You can simply learn also through online just simply research, read and understand. Just like her in bitcointalk.org. Base on my experience i already learn bitcoin through online research i didn't even take a course. But i learn already. But if you think taking a bitcoin course is much better then go, as you said it is free already.
31  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What if you forget your bitcoin wallet password? on: April 27, 2018, 07:58:54 AM
Recently many people who bought bitcoin years ago find themselves sitting on an untouchable bounty. Those lucky guys who purchased or mined just a few bitcoins at the start of the age of cryptocurrency nowadays can boast about their savings. However, some of them are now in a painful limbo, because they can't remember the complex security passwords needed to get to their bitcoin wallet. Unlike a bank, bitcoin has no central hotline to call for a reset. This is really a bad thing,it's like forgetting a bank account password, but there's no bank to call to reset it. That money is lost forever. That might be a lot of money at today’s exchange rate.

Actyally, this bad thing happened to me last year, and my friend recommend  this website:http://recovermybtc.com/ to me,she said she has retrieved her bitcoin wallet password through it,and I download this software,it really works after I used it,and you need to pay some service fee to them, but it's not high.Somebody who lost their bitcoin password can make a try, good luck.
If thats the case that i forgot my bitcoin wallet address i thinks its too bad for me. But i will try to recover it us long us i can if therse a way to recover it. There are several sites that may use to recover it. But If you think your a oblivious person much better if you write your password in your note. So that if you forgot u have a copy of your a bitcoin wallet address.
32  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is Bitcoin too complicated for ordinary folks? on: April 26, 2018, 03:19:39 AM
With mainstream media still taking an interest in Bitcoin, do you think we have lost perspective of what is important, and are there to much focus on price? or do you think we will find back to the possibility of bitcoin and blockchain?
For inspiration i included my article on the matter
https://cryptoms.online/2018/01/30/is-bitcoin-too-complicated-for-ordinary-folks/
Yes bitcoin too complicated for ordinary people and too those people who don't have a knowledge on it. But if someone have a interest about it and willing to learn on it, no matter how complicated or hard is it, he will make a way to learn on it. Knowledge is the most important thing to success.

33  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is bitcoin digital gold? on: April 25, 2018, 07:16:32 AM
The billionaire venture capitalist is doubling down on BTC, likening the digital coin to gold’s online equal.

Thiel touts the No. 1 cryptocurrency for its size and its ability to compete with gold as a safe haven, saying at the Economic Club of New York:

“I would be long bitcoin, and neutral to skeptical of just about everything else at this point with a few possible exceptions. There will be one online equivalent to gold, and the one you’d bet on would be the biggest,” said Thiel.

But with the exception of a few digital coins, Thiel remains neutral on the rest of the cryptocurrency pack. He didn’t dismiss the possibility that bitcoin could be surpassed by Ethereum or other altcoins that prey on the leading cryptocurrency’s weaknesses, but bitcoin’s strength is in its size.

Bitcoin controls more than 40% of cryptocurrency market cap compared to almost one-fifth for Ethereum, as per Coin Market Cap data cited in CNBC.
For me i think bitcoin is not a digital gold. Because unlike gold, gold have it's stable value rather then bitcoin. I will accept bitcoin is digital gold if its price is stable already. But what ever we called bitcoin, bitcoin is always a bitcoin.
34  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin still exist in your country? on: April 24, 2018, 07:49:24 AM
I wonder, that the other country didnt accept bitcoin.
Bitcoin is still exist in my country because my country didnt banned it. In other way bitcoin is neither legal or illegal i my country. But Im sure bitcoin user in may country use it in legal way. Our government continoue to watch and obeserved about bitcoin weither it will be legalized or not. But im sure someday my country make bitcoin legal because lots of may country men use bitcoin for there daily living.
35  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is bitcoin a criminal tool? on: April 23, 2018, 06:48:07 AM
In bitcoin's pyramid scheme, criminals have exploited the greed of people's ignorance and dreams of the currency. The essence of pyramid selling is a ponzi scheme, where a bitcoin is not fundamentally different from a tulip or a box of cosmetics.

In the event of an hacker blackmail, criminals use the anonymity of the currency, trying to escape legal sanction, COINS and cash here, there is no essential difference between just more convenient, lower cost.

In money laundering, drug trafficking, and terrorist crimes, criminals use the anonymity and high mobility of bitcoin to hide the flow of funds, which is the same as the effect of using cash.
Bitcoin is not a criminal tools but it depends on how may use it. The sadiest thing is some ignorance people use bitcoin to illegal way. And it cause money laundering and it affect to the image mo bitcoin. The reason why bitcoin developed is to help people around the world.
36  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why do people need to use Bitcoin for Money laundering? on: April 21, 2018, 09:54:07 AM
Between 2004 and 2010, HSBC laundered Billions of Dollars for the Mexican Drug cartels and nobody blinked an eye. After

7 years of doing this, they got busted and they paid US$1.9bn in fines. {This could be recovered in profits, within a few

weeks} Most people saw this as a slap on the wrist for the people who were involved with this. Not one person working for the

Bank got jail time for doing this.  Roll Eyes  https://observer.news/featured/5-years-ago-hsbc-fined-record-us1-9bn/

Ross Ulbricht, was sentenced to life in prison without parole for creating and running Silk Road, which allegedly facilitated

the sale of $250 million worth of drugs.

Why are we seeing such double standards, when Bitcoin is involved?

They use bitcoin for money laundering because bitcoin is a easy way to earn money that may provide there needs. And it is accessable trough internet us long us you have a internet connection. Thats why they use in money laundering.
37  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is Bitcoin digital gold or digital cash? on: April 21, 2018, 08:39:34 AM
For me i think bitcoin is a digital cash, because lots of bitcoin fanatics use this to earn money, and to gain more profit. I can say bitcoin is not a digital gold because unlike gold bitcoin have not a stable value rather than gold.  If bitcoin have a stable value maybe thats the time i called it digital gold. For now now may prefer to called it bitcoin is a digital cash.
38  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 5 countries that banned bitcoin on: April 21, 2018, 01:32:26 AM
COUNTRIES THAT BANNED BITCOIN

Before we start to our topic this I want to tell that some of you might know about this but I just wanna share this to those who are not.

Several people believe that bitcoin was a blessing and it was an opportunity
for everyone but not everyone shares the sentiment. From central banks and other finance company, Bitcoin's list of detractors runs for a very long time and gone so deep. But most of the government around the world seeks for the regulation of bitcoin.

Be due to fear, ignorance and protectionism, governments have a tendency to legislate against perceived threats.Countries such as japan protects its citizens to have free trade of the digital currency. But unfortunately not all countries embracing the change of our technology. In some cases citizens have had their assets seized, accounts got frozen and have been locked up, Government can't stop the blockchain from propagating, but they can stop their people in having access to it.

STOP THE BITCOIN!!

Like banning drugs, alcohol and other stuffs banning bitcoin sounds nonsensical and unforceable. That's the exact case in five countries:

1.Bangladesh
2.Bolivia
3.Ecuador
4.Kyrgyzstan
5.Nepal

It was recently reported in https://news.bitcoin.com/bitcoin-illegal-in-nepal-police-arrest-seven-individuals-for-trading-operations/
that there were dozens of bitcoin and crypto enthusiasts get imprison seemingly guilty of little more than operating a small-scale bitcoin exchange.

Meanwhile Ecuador has outlawed bitcoin, nit because they opposed this crypto but because they want to regulate and control it and tether it with the Ecuadorian dollar. An Electronic money designed to operate ad support monetary scheme dollarization.Completing the naughty list of countries that have banned bitcoin is Kyrgyzstan, a tiny landlocked state in Central Asia,
And Bangladesh banned bitcoin, it was 2014 where Bangladesh bank stated that anyone that will be caught using such online currency could be jailed mostly because it's about "MONEY LAUNDERING".

this was already an old news for updated list

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Legality_of_bitcoin_by_country_or_territory

so what do you think? will your country will ban the use of bitcoin?
do you know other countries that ban the bitcoins?
Please share it and tell to everyone Smiley
yes we know that some countries banned bitcoin, maybe because of money laundering, because they use bitcoin in an illegal way. I think if people use it in a legal way and the government seen it that bitcoin have a good intention to help people i think their is no reason that government may banned bitcoin in our country.
39  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why bitcoin is created? on: April 20, 2018, 08:43:57 AM
Bitcoin is digital currency or known as the father of all crypto currency that has the potential to become the new money or the electronic money around the world. Bitcoin is also the most expensive digital coin and it is almost compare to the gold but why bitcoin is created?
Here are some reason :
* To change the perception of all people about the digital currency.
* To improve the payments and transactions and in the internet world.
* To become the image of money around the world.
* To protect or hides the identity of the user, for security purposes.
* To give an opportunity to all people around the world to earn a secondary income.
* To upgrade the currency because everything in this world is now upgrading.

SHARE YOUR THOUGHTS Smiley
If this post is worth of your merit, Thank you Smiley
I think Bitcoin created to help people around world to earn money and to make there life easy. And to change the concept of payments for exsample paying bills, if you have internet connection you can pay your bills trough online without wasting your time, in going there just to pay your bills. And to mobilize the new ganeration of papermoney.
40  Local / Pamilihan / Re: Youtube and Social media influencers on: April 20, 2018, 08:13:20 AM
Baka d lang nila pinapaalam sa publiko for there safety cguro. Kasi alam namn natin di pa legall ang bitcoin dito sa pilipinas. Maybe yan cguro ang rason kung bakit di naila pinapaalam sa publiko.
