It's just a rebranding, the transition to POS is still on the roadmap unfortunatelly.

I received them yesterday, but windows isn't recognizing them. It does appear the "triangle" in the device panel. I am trying to find the driver over the net with no luck.
Can someone that is successfully using the multiplier tell me the name of the driver he is sing ?
I've got the one above, the ebay link, and it worked straight forward, without having to install a driver.

So, I imagine that you insert the multiplier in the PCI "long" slot that does carry 16x ?
Currently I have 2 multipliers, inserted in the last 2 slots, they are short slots.

lol its pcie to usb 3.0 not pcie multiplier for pcie, you cannot use this for pcie riser, you're wrong bought this stuff, pcie multiplier quite expensive around 1/3 from mobo that has 12 pcie, so i think better you sell the mobo and buy new one with 12+ pcie and not causing any problem in the future Well, I've bought it for 18 pounds, and currently a h110 pro btc is around 250-300 pounds, so is way less expensive to buy the multiplier.

They have arrived today, and they work. So now, my mb, which has only 6 pcie slots, works with 12 cards. Thanks again @miner29!!
what cpu are u using? i cant believe u got 12 cards working u should only be able to get 7 working if u can get 12 i want to try and mimic with my tb250 btc are they all nvidia or amd cards? The cpu is i3, they are all 3060ti or 3070s. I've got 2 multiplier with 4 ports each, to see if they work, and today I've ordered another 2, because I'd like to use 1 multiplier for 2 cards, to make it last longer.

The first part is to enable it to run as admin. The parameters powlim, mclock and mcdag helps you not to need afterburner, the other are general parameters, you can find them in phonenix documentation.
Hope it helps.
can you share for pny and palit 3090 gpu settings? sorry, I don't have a 3090 gpu, but it should be similar, just adjust the parameters.

Did anyone else think this was going to be a Voskcoin video? Hahaha, indeed!!

Interesting config. What card are you mining with? I have a couple of 3060ti's and 3070's and they are doing 61 ~ 63 mh with 120 ~ 132w

Thanks miner29, I've just ordered them. I'll let you know if they work. Unfortunatelly, I don't know if I can or how to give you merit.

Running that much GPUS from a single PCIe slot? Naa I'd rather buy another motherboard or get three or four of this connector and use two/two cards on each connector, there are motherboards with 16x gpu space onboard though
I'm planning to buy 3 of them and to use 3 cards max on each, but first I need to know if they would work.
|
|
|
And for 12 3070's gpus on an ASROCK PRO BTC+ mb? would you recommend 2 big psus or 3 smaller ones? And if 3, which ones would be ok? Thanks.
|
|
|
Yes, because you're going to undervolt them, they will do around 130w, 135w each, so it will more than enough. It could be ok even for 8 gpus.

Well, £0.10 kw/h is cheaper than the majority here in London. The cheapest I've found is £0.138/kw. Who is your provider danieleither & Shitcoinah? 13.8p per kw? Sign me up - who's that? Last time I looked 17ish was the best... I just switched to utilitypoint for 13.8/kw. But it seems that it can be better, as the people above posted.

Hello,
There are some new laptops which were announced recently with 3080 - 16 Gb and Ryzen 5900HX cpu. Do you think they would be good for mining and how much would be the hashrate for the 16 gb 3080? And also, can you mine monero with the cpu in the same time while mining ETH with the gpu?
The 3080 specs: NVIDIA CUDA Cores: 6144 Boost Clock: 1245 - 1710GHz Memory Size: 16GB or 8GB Memory Type: GDDR6
Thanks
Based on a bit of Googling, looks like the specs for the laptop gpu are significantly lower then the desktop version GPU Engine Specs: GEFORCE RTX 3080 NVIDIA CUDA® Cores:8704 Boost Clock (GHz)1.71 Base Clock (GHz)1.44 Standard Memory Config: 10 GB GDDR6X Memory Interface Width 320-bit Graphics Card Power (W) 320 GPU Engine Specs:GEFORCE RTX 3080 LAPTOP GPU NIDIA CUDA® Cores: 6144 Boost Clock (MHz) 1245 - 1710 MHz Standard Memory Configuration: 16 GB GDDR6 Memory Interface Width: 256-bit GPU Subsystem Power (W): 80 - 150+ W Have to say looks like a pretty awesome laptop (although i would only ever spend £400 max on any laptop, and probably then go for a chrome book) I guess for me at least, you buy a laptop to use as a laptop, and if you only want max mining performance you might be better saving on the laptop and getting a dedicated desktop (or rig)....as they say "The choice is yours" Yes, the main use of the laptop is for work and gaming, I was just wondering if I could just earn a bit extra while not using it for that, but it seems that is not a good idea. What about the cpu mining?
