Just to clarify so everyone is on the same page:
No minimum balance is required to be an Xnode anymore. Every XC wallet is automatically an Xnode as soon as you open it and has been that way for the last couple of weeks, thats what makes it decentralized.
Also, the encrypted messaging is really "instant messaging", or chat. I've tested it and messages show up instantly as if your on Skype or IRC.
This is huge and we need to spread the word. I dont have a reddit account but will someone make sure this info is out there please.

I cannot get my wallet to load. This is the first time I've downloaded and installed the wallet. When I open cloakcoin-qt.exe I get this error, "The ordinal 4445 could not be located in the dynamic link library LIBEAY32.dll".
What's up with that?

With risk to be insolent , I lost Huge amount of 28184 Cloak coins. I am supporting this community from the beginning, taking care of the twitter and facebook page and I am always willing to offer my help to anyone who has any questions, problems, etc concerning Cloakcoin. Nothing left to me except to ask people from the community for any help which will give me spark of hope to continue forward to support this community and do my best. how did you loose your cloaks? (i dont know.. sure a lot of people dont) care to explain ? The hacker accessed my laptop trough the IP. My router was not secure enought though. He implemented keylogger somehow and stole the password of my wallet. My wallet was Placed in different computer in different country. Howerver, he stole the .dat file and trough keylogger he took my password. It is life destroying, everything what I have worked for, just disappear. Anyway, I will continue fighting to get any coins back and I will continue supporting this community. ADVICE - Secure your laptops/computers with antivirus, firewall. If you keep your coins for longer, keep them offline and if you have any copies of .dat files, keep them away, offline again. I hope this will help for many people to take care of their coins. PS, Any donations will be still appreciated ! so he used team viewer or some other remote access software ? |

This is not a good idea. Just because a file is encrypted does not mean that its owner would welcome multiple copies of it saved on random people's computers. Whoever came up with this idea is not wise at all.
Of course, using google disk is better idea! Centralized, government controlled, unencrypted by default. But in some cases millions of people using it. Do you know why? Yes. It is easier to hold a company like Google liable for any wrongdoing than a random person that someone is connected to via a P2P network. If you don't have data, that better you don't know where it is physically, does not mean, that nobody does. Sometimes you need send information anonymously - this is the best way. I would rather my data encrypted on other peoples machines then saved in any single companies hands un encrypted. Sign me up. thx. whoever said this idea was not wise at all does not understand how encryption works and should go away. |

You can't evaluate a coin based on one 24h period. That is idiotic. If this were the case, then you would have to conclude just 1 day ago that XC > DRK, because 1 day ago XC had a higher 24h volume than DRK. So, according to your method, you now have two antithetical reports to reconcile within a period of 48 hours. Your method is seriously flawed. And the reason DRK volume has risen to overtake XC's in the last 24 hours is unquestionably because they just released news on RC4. I am tracking for DRK & XC for a long time. Yes, there are few time intervals in history, where XC > DRK by 24h volume, but MOST of rest time (I estimate 80-90%), DRK > XC by volume. Today, the volume difference just became drammatic. My opinion, among many parity features of XC vs. DRK there is one, 'instamine' that intrinsic to XC, and not intrinsic to DRK. People's psychology does not accept unjust feature such as 'instamine'. You may contradict with 'stake' feature. But to stake coins, one need buy them first, buying is not so psychologically comfortable, as minig on the equipment you already possess.
