An ICO is much more risky than an IEO, as the projects are being verified by exchanges, too, before starting the IEO.
Or, big exchanges will never risk their reputation to allow bad projects on their platform.

The fairest option for unsold tokens is to burn them.
This will defend investor's interests, because the price should increase as total supply will decrease.

Nobody knows for sure who Satoshi really is, anything else is pure speculation. Same for people posting all video predictions. Just because someone make couple videos about something that might blow up in future doesn't make them a trading wizard.
The only winners in trading business are those who can afford to lose a lot of money every year because its all risk, other than that stick to regular stuff. You really need a lot of money for trading to be profitable, it's not like growing social media accounts.

You cannot get rich fast from BTC as nobody knows the future evolution of bitcoin. This whole BTC stuff is just hit and miss.
Yes, there were also some people 10 years ago telling me Bitcoin will skyrocket to 10k at least, but there were also lots of people telling me it will be dead by 2011. Those people making "forecasts" are ridiculous. The truth is nobody knows what is going to happen. And whoever presents himself as a "guru" or "expert" is just a charlatan.

Just because you did not have good interactions with ICOs it doesn't mean there are no great ICOs, too.
You just need to do more research wben it comes to invest in crypto. You're the only responsible for your decisions.

Of course it can, but to be a credible payment method it needs to become much less volatile overtime.
I have a very bad feeling about its price for near future. Stoch RSI (daily & weekly) are very high, RSI daily as well. There are a lot of "bullish video" on youtube, everyone seems to have $5700 or more as the target. Short/long chart have never been that low since a long time. In my opinion, we're going to see a big crash in a few days or week.

It depends on the project. I think some is worth it and some is not. I started my airdrop last October 2017 and stopped last mid of April. I bought Bicycle ($100) from airdrop. I stop airdrop when eth became down. And started Bounty.

Do you know every single new project development within blockchain technology? How can you admit such things?
There will be always good and bad projects. Binance, Ethereum etc, were at some point "new coins" but they proved their value overtime. One time can say if new coins will be valuable or not.
|
|
|
I think you make confusion between ICO and IEO. Scammers will never be accepted in an IEO as their project need to be validated by exchanges before IEO. And bad projects will never be approved by main Exchanges.

Everyone knows that Warren Buffet is not a fan of Bitcoin as he never found any intrinsic value of it.
However, if adoption rate will increase significantly and network lightning will be used frequently, I think he might change his mind.
|
|
|
At some point in time I guess it will become either one thing or the other. It cannot stay both at the same time. Can it? Is it a healthy usage method to have it as both?
Just think about the currency in Venezuela and you will understand that volatility has nothing to do with payment options. Their currency is much more volatile than most of crypto coins and it's still being used.

Usually people hate what they don't understand or what they cannot afford mostly to prove themselves that something does not worth the current value.
The same is happening with btc. If you really believe btc has a bright future, then just ignore the haters and fud they spread around.

Lightning network mass adoption can make the difference between crypto as a standalone payment alternative and nothing more than pure speculation.
I just hope to see lightning network implemented in many projects in the near future.

I always try to invest into good projects, but also to join many airdrops to diminish the risk.
If we look at nano for instance they were barley worth anything, few cents and you could get them via faucets and if you hold those that you earned along the way you would profit and see massive gains from the last bull run. So I think the same applies for the airdrops, if you chose the correct ICO that will boost its price you could profit really well by holding that coin but at the same time you could have nothing. It is always a gamble and not a "sure" thing as there are always some trade offs.

The easiest way to earn money from crypto is to join as many airdrops as possible. However, most of airdrops want you to sign up to their telegram group, give out your email etc. to try to boost their marketing strategy and user base.
Keep in mind that the only way you will earn big with airdrops is to keep them for longer period of time and wait for their price to go up, if you have chosen a good project and picked their airdrop you could expect to earn something. Other people are simply selling those tokens as soon as they reach the exchanges.

I joined the IEO from Cobinhood exchange to buy some simplyBrand (SBA) tokens and everything worked very smoothly.
I see 2 big advantages when using IEO instead of ICO: first, the exchanges verify in detail the projects, as listing bad products would affect directly their reputation and second, as an investor you don't have to wait for months after ICO finished to have your tokens listed on an Exchange. It would be a third advantage, too, as you know from the beginning the name of the first exchange your tokens will be traded.

Personally, I still prefer the old version of MEW, as the new one looks too cartoonish and it doesn't inspire me too much confidence to try.
As long as the security level is the same, that's the only thing that matters.

If bull run will come, just be careful with the alts you invest in. I expect to see a similar behavior with what happened in 2017, when beside good projects there were a lot od scams and people lost a lot of money.
|
|

Market trend seems to switch to bullish and investing in good alts could be a good option for the middle-long term.
If you search for a great new project, just have a look to Mycro Jobs. (details in my signature)

Thanks to the frequent halvings we'll not be alive when this will gonna happen.
Nobody knows what will happen then, but we shouldn't care too much anyway:)
