4  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin puzzle transaction ~32 BTC prize to who solves it on: January 05, 2019, 10:07:11 PM
Are we looking for specific wallets or just wallets in general that have a balance?

Neither, we are expecting that no private keys from a single transaction will ever being found faster then expected by current bruteforce difficulty. That's the best outcome - that everyone fails and Bitcoin is safe.

Is it true that someone found the private key for this wallet? https://www.blockchain.com/btc/address/1AhTjUMztCihiTyA4K6E3QEpobjWLwKhkR

Hi guys!
I see that you are not listed any exchange now.

I can list your coin for free. PM me if you need)

Sure, that would be great.
7  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [XCN] CryoNote: the PoS/PoW hybrid CryptoNote cryptocurrency | Smart Contracts! on: October 22, 2018, 02:39:39 PM
So there's no GUI wallet, links to CLI wallet are dead on website, no compiled custom XMRstak. Pretty much like last time when people mined and got rekt. And also no opportunity to swap/recover coins from previous chain. What is this, OP ?

There is a QT wallet ported directly from the Bitcoin source code. This will be released within the next few days for Windows and Mac OS. This wallet also supports DPOS.

can it be mined with xmr-stak 2.4.7 ?

You need to use our custom fork of xmr-stak which supports CryptoNight Dark. https://github.com/cryonote/xmr-stak

is this cpu or gpu coin ?

CryoNote uses the CryptoNight Dark hashing algorithm which is optimized for CPU based hardware.

hahaha where's dev, you have run away 2x.

I am the same dev that originally started this, still here about to release the mainnet later today.
compiling from source? will GUI wallets be provided at the start? how many developers are on the team? judging by the plan you have a lot of ambitions and to realize it all alone is very difficult!

Prebuilt wallets will be provided for Windows, Mac OS and Linux along with the QT wallet, i am the only developer currently maintaining the project.

Resistant to bots, resistant to bans. Protecting your privacy, your freedom, and your investment.

Digital cryptocurrencies are slowly adapting to everyday life to create a new revolutionary economy based around digital money. CryoNote allows anyone, anywhere to send money instantly around the world at nearly zero fees.

CryoNote is a digital Cryptocurrency based on the CryptoNote technology. CryoNote provides complete anonymity for users within the blockchain by using the revolutionary concept of Ring Signatures. Ring Signatures mixup transaction data with other transactions to make it nearly impossible for blockchain analysist to determine where the money came from, and who it was sent to.

About

CryoNote is a digital Cryptocurrency based on the CryptoNote technology, allowing anyone to send and receive money anywhere in the world.
CryoNote will officially be launching mainnet on October 18, 2018 at 8:00pm eastern time!

CryoNote offers but is not limited to the following features:

So with that being said, still curious why CryoNote is different than the other CryptoNote based Cryptocurrencies?
CryoNote is intended to be an alternative to other CryptoNote coins because, our goal for CryoNote is to become a light weight, easy to use, fast version of Monero while not forking Monero's source code. CryoNote uses a custom difficulty algorithm (as seen above) which allows for protection against hash attacks, botnet attacks etc... This also allows for household/hobbyist miners to put that old once expensive mining hardware to use and make a buck. CryoNote strives for speed and anonymity throughout it's blockchain. CryoNote is still in it's very early development stages, and we are continuing to improve it as time moves on...

Where can i view your white-paper?
CryoNote's white-paper is currently in the works... However you can view the original CryptoNote white-paper for more info on how CryoNote works. (See below)

When will pre-built source code binaries release?
Pre-built binaries for CryoNote will be released within a few days from the Bitcoin Talk ANN post. If you would like to build the source code your self, or just snoop around and view the work we've done so far, checkout our Github Page.

What will the premine be used for?
CryoNote was premined 1 million coin out of a maximum supply of 21 million, this is to pay for very pricy exchange listing fees (reference); bounties for things such as but not limited to, graphic design, social media content, forum postings, bug reports and other future concepts for CryoNote...

How did the premine take place?
The premine was distributed to our development team from the genesis block, this means we are not post mining any blocks except for the very first block within the blockchain. All blocks after block height 1, are mined by the community...

14  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [XAO] Alloy - The next generation anonymous, Cryptocurrency based on CryptoNote! on: January 30, 2018, 01:53:28 AM
Litecash wasn’t my official project, I was only contributing to the project and lending the developers a hand. When the issue with the blockchain occurred the developers canceled the project before i could get a chance to help them fix it. And no, I haven’t sold any of my Alloy, was only encouraging the very first few successful trades. If I wanted to dump my coin I would have already and left the project. It’s been almost a month and still here actively improving Alloy as we speak. And I plan to continue developing the project for the years to come. I hope you will continue following the project as well.

I haven't been there for Litecash so I can't tell what went on, only what's left over which is not much.
Website, github project, reddit have all been deleted so I can't tell what was there.  Maybe somebody who followed it can chip in.

If it wasn't your project, why were you the one making the announcement on this forum and why were you trying to delete it?

The team wanted a more experienced known developer to post due to trust issues... So i offered to post it on BitcoinTalk forums. I most likely won't be helping with any other projects like that again...
15  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [XAO] Alloy - The next generation anonymous, Cryptocurrency based on CryptoNote! on: January 29, 2018, 05:27:19 PM
I've been doing some research on this coin to see if this is something I want to get involved in.  If anybody is interested, here are my findings:

Core Dev of this project is AnythingTechPro.  His last project was Litecash [LCH]:
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2650829.msg27014800#msg27014800

Here are all his posts on this forum:
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=1346709;sa=showPosts

As you can see, he's selling XAO really cheap.
Also, if you scroll down to the first post, you'll find this:

Last Saturday, before I asked 2 people from Alloy Dev Team (the only 2 people I had conversations with), that first post looked like this:
19    Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [LCH] Litecash (Cryptonote, private, secure cryptocurrency)   on: December 27, 2017, 01:25:38 AM
Litecash project has been suspended due to unethical early release, and major issues with the blockchain... It was a cool experiment, thanks to all that participated.

Here is the conversation I had with those 2 Devs:

Are you part of the team that launched this project or did you join after it started?
OxHaK - Last Saturday at 2:11 PM
The devs team in green, joined the core dev after the first launch.
CryptoRob - Last Saturday at 2:12 PM
What do you think about this: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=1346709;sa=showPosts
Those re posts from anythingtechpro and his previous coin LCH
OxHaK - Last Saturday at 2:21 PM
Interesting, I had not looked, but for now nothing suspicious, a normal progression and very good for this coin.
CryptoRob - Last Saturday at 2:24 PM
   OK, thanks

   what do you mean
CryptoRob - Last Saturday at 2:26 PM
those are posts from anythingtechpro and his previous coin LCH
nighthawk - Last Saturday at 2:27 PM
   good find
He's kind of new to this stuff so not surprising

CryptoRob - Last Saturday at 2:32 PM
Any other new CryptoLight coins that you follow with good community?
nighthawk - Last Saturday at 2:32 PM
he's a good guy, trying to do the right thing.
   this one is good
that litecash was another project ATP was involved with

we got 4 great folks. stay for the ride.
   are you a miner?

Shortly after I asked those questions (and I only talked to above 2 devs), AnythingTechPro tried to delete his LCH post but only succeeded in removing the subject and the text of the post.  That tells me everything I need to know.

If anybody is interested, I have 909 XAO to sell, really cheap.

32/5000 Unfortunately, the official chain may be a little problem, In order not to waste everyone's electricity bill. Continue later.Stop mining!!!!!!

explaination?

The pool's node is out of sync with the rest of the block chain. I don't yet know why, waiting for email response from pool owner.

Will it be listed in which exchanges? Just the one that's on hold in the initial ANN topic? Will there be Airdrop?

I am working with other exchanges to get it approved, currently it is under approval by HitBTC.

I'm very sorry about the delay with the Windows wallet, and core build. It has been resolved and is available for download at Github Releases Thanks for your patience!

Very good news, cna you please update us about the pool issues?

It seems there is a delay in block the block resync, it's a known bug within the bytecoin source code. It should correct it's self at a certain block height.

So we can just keep mining at the pool and get paid out eventually?

Correct. furthermore, I will contact the pool owner and see what might be causing the issue on there end.
