How can I check if funds(from old wallet) have been returned to me? I have a paper wallet.

You should download wallet binaries and extract archive. Then you will need synchronize blockchain by using alloyd.exe daemon. Simply start this file and wait till synchronization completion.

Later please start simplewallet.exe and use meniu Import wallet

I hope this helps.

The only advantage is to the devs if and when they can get it on an exchange.

If anyone would like a simple easy no software install method to mine some XAO coins I created this site to make it possible:

http://alloyfaucet.org

All you need is a wallet address and a web browser, the site doesn't charge any fees, it mines directly to alloypool.com with your wallet address. Hope you guys like it.  Smiley

I've been doing some research on this coin to see if this is something I want to get involved in.  If anybody is interested, here are my findings:

Core Dev of this project is AnythingTechPro.  His last project was Litecash [LCH]:
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2650829.msg27014800#msg27014800

Here are all his posts on this forum:
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=1346709;sa=showPosts

As you can see, he's selling XAO really cheap.
Also, if you scroll down to the first post, you'll find this:
19    Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / subject here...   on: December 27, 2017, 01:25:38 AM
...

Last Saturday, before I asked 2 people from Alloy Dev Team (the only 2 people I had conversations with), that first post looked like this:
19    Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [LCH] Litecash (Cryptonote, private, secure cryptocurrency)   on: December 27, 2017, 01:25:38 AM
Litecash project has been suspended due to unethical early release, and major issues with the blockchain... It was a cool experiment, thanks to all that participated.

Here is the conversation I had with those 2 Devs:

Are you part of the team that launched this project or did you join after it started?
OxHaK - Last Saturday at 2:11 PM
The devs team in green, joined the core dev after the first launch.
CryptoRob - Last Saturday at 2:12 PM
What do you think about this: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=1346709;sa=showPosts
Those re posts from anythingtechpro and his previous coin LCH
OxHaK - Last Saturday at 2:21 PM
Interesting, I had not looked, but for now nothing suspicious, a normal progression and very good for this coin.
CryptoRob - Last Saturday at 2:24 PM
   OK, thanks

Any other new CryptoLight coins that you follow with good community?
nighthawk - Last Saturday at 2:32 PM
he's a good guy, trying to do the right thing.
   this one is good
that litecash was another project ATP was involved with

we got 4 great folks. stay for the ride.
   are you a miner?

Shortly after I asked those questions (and I only talked to above 2 devs), AnythingTechPro tried to delete his LCH post but only succeeded in removing the subject and the text of the post.  That tells me everything I need to know.

If anybody is interested, I have 909 XAO to sell, really cheap.

tbh sounds to me as the devs asked anythingtechpro to remove his affiliation to the old project.

What i worry more is the part where he sells off his alloy for very cheap...:/
That makes the impression, he doesnt trust the project himself and wants to get rid of his stash asap

Litecash wasn’t my official project, I was only contributing to the project and lending the developers a hand. When the issue with the blockchain occurred the developers canceled the project before i could get a chance to help them fix it. And no, I haven’t sold any of my Alloy, was only encouraging the very first few successful trades. If I wanted to dump my coin I would have already and left the project. It’s been almost a month and still here actively improving Alloy as we speak. And I plan to continue developing the project for the years to come. I hope you will continue following the project as well.

I can say that the dev team is committed to this project 100% and want to make this into a unique coin offering over the long term. We will be releasing our road map soon with the unique features we plan to add that truly differentiate Alloy in the marketplace.

I haven't been there for Litecash so I can't tell what went on, only what's left over which is not much.
Website, github project, reddit have all been deleted so I can't tell what was there.  Maybe somebody who followed it can chip in.

If it wasn't your project, why were you the one making the announcement on this forum and why were you trying to delete it?

The team wanted a more experienced known developer to post due to trust issues... So i offered to post it on BitcoinTalk forums. I most likely won't be helping with any other projects like that again...
