The Grail was just filled by yet another BTC. Adding a dezentralized version of NashX would be great for snailmail "escrow". Eventually...
223  Bitcoin / Armory / Re: Support Armory through fee-matching on: July 12, 2013, 09:41:21 PM
I have been using and enjoying Armory, but I can't make donations anywhere close to the 1 BTC suggested by the software if you click "Donate to Armory Developers!" button.  Instead, each time I make a spend, I send Armory an amount that matches the fee amount. Miners get a fee, client gets a fee. This requires extra steps each time I make a spend.

I have a development suggestion which could make this more widespread. Include a config option that can be toggled on or off which automatically adds a donation to each transaction which matches the transaction fees. It adds a tiny amount to each transaction, but could significantly improve donations made for Armory development. I trust that would encourage more development.

This is the least invasive way I can think of to make regular donations easy and affordable.

And because the idea of multi-donation fee matching is so great I donate 1 BTC to Armory. Bitstamp doesen't give me transaction ID, damn. At least not on the Web-UI. Armory is currently a bit borderline on my 4gb system. Anyhow, keep up the good work and add multi-donation fee matching to the customer requirements/wishlist. I know its way down on the priority list.
224  Bitcoin / Armory / Re: How does Armory paper backup know how many addresses have been used? on: July 12, 2013, 05:53:29 AM
I always thoght that Armory will just scann all addresses during startup and checks in which the private key fits. Then on the other hand, how would that work for a watching only wallet? Is it maybe possible to know which addresses are all deriving from the private key without knowing the private key as such?
225  Other / Beginners & Help / Fastest way to evolve from newbee to full status? on: July 11, 2013, 09:30:53 PM
Whats the fastest way to get to the status so i can give my answer here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=221209.msg2331413#msg2331413

I guess I have to have a post. So this is it.

I always imagined that Armory scanns the blockchain at startup and goes through all adresses wich have ever received funds and inherrantly checks if the private key fits. Could that be?
