161  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: XQNPOSFUND MHS, Masternode Hosting Service on: February 07, 2016, 04:02:13 AM
Hi Everyone,

I having been messaging with IW. Here are the breaking on the MN wallet hosting. There are two options. First is the trustless you setup the controller wallet almost like masternode setup on your local desktop.
Setup the controller wallet in this guide:
http://thecryptoworld.org/how-to-setup-your-masternode#remote

Your wallet holds the actual coins, IW will remote start your MN (hosted wallet) acts as the node and you can close out your wallet.

Second, If users are unable to setup the controlling wallet for some reason, and still wants to host MN. You send IW the coins, he setup everything up on the servers and send you the privkeys to import to your local wallet.

I am in the process of setuping four CRAVE MNs. I will write more about at another time.
Thank you BTC-BTC-BTC,
Here is a guide on setting up the controller wallet:
Step 1: From the very begining, on your laptop in the console enter "masternode genkey" twice, and enter
"getaccountaddress MN1" and "getaccountaddress MN2", the MN1 and MN2 could be substituted with any name
you would like to call the masternode addresses.
Do this for each masternode you want to host.

Step 2: Send the required masternode amount to each of the addresses generated in step 1, making sure to send exact amount required, in
one transaction to each. Now, execute "masternode outputs" in the console of your laptop wallets.

Step 3: Open the masternode.conf file in the data directory of your laptop's wallet and edit it. In one
line for each masternode follow this format:
ALIAS IP:XXXXX MASTERNODEPRIVKEY TRANSACTIONHASH INDEX.

The
ALIAS can be anything you want it to be, but for simplicities sake it may be best to use the name you used
for the wallet addresses, MN1 and MN2 in this example. The IP is the IP where the masternode wallet is hosted, and will be provided by us. the MASTERNODEPRIVKEY is the output from the command "masternode genkey" you entered earlier.
The TRANSACTIONHASH and INDEX are the output you received when you executed "masternode outputs" earlier.

Step 4: Open the (darknet,crave,8bit,dash,anyothermasternode).conf file in the data directory of the controller wallet, again, on the laptop in
this example, Modify the contents to match this:
rpcuser=long random username
rpcpassword=longer random password
rpcallowip=127.0.0.1
listen=0
server=1
daemon=1
logtimestamps=1
maxconnections=256

Step 5: Close the wallet and restart it.

Step 6: Send us the ALIAS and MASTERNODEPRIVKEY for all your nodes.

Step 7: Recieve ALIAS IP:PORT info from us, and replace in your masternode.conf.

Final step: Now, both of your masternodes are setup, you just need to start them, you will do this with the
controlling wallet on your laptop. Open the console of the controlling wallet and enter "masternode start-many"
you should get an output something like this:
{
    "overall" : "Successfully started 2 masternodes, failed to start 0, total 2",
    "detail" : {
        "status" : {
            "alias" : "mn1",
            "result" : "successful"
        },
        "status" : {
            "alias" : "mn2",
            "result" : "successful"

Sounds like nice changes are in the works! If your looking for other options on the block explorer presstab has a really nice one with lots of other PoS coins here: http://www.presstab.pw/phpexplorer/index.php
Thank you for your input Smiley
Fully agree, presstab have top quality explorers.
Community is welcome to gather the funds for such explorer, but we would like to try provide it ourself before spending any funds on it atm.
Have to say those explorers are awsome, and ours will most likely not be the same in our first try.

IW

His price is quite cheap actually for what you get. If I remember correctly it is only like $10 USD/month. I can check and get back with you.
Thank you Hort, and yes its a great service for the cost.
It would still be cool to have our own explorer service, which could evolve to a Quantum explorer and be delivered to all our coins and partner projects.

Anyhow, what is the communitys thoughts about explorer?
Do you have time to wait for us to do it in house, or do you want a external explorer service like presstab?
Or both Smiley
EDIT:Poll opened, please vote your opinion.
Link to the explorer in mind: https://github.com/iquidus/explorer
There is also examples on how it looks live there.

Thank you Staisybit for your efforts to get XQN going at optimal mode.
We are happy to see how well we actually perform compared to the bigger and more established coins already there.

You can clearly see how XQN outperform many coins when you compare amount of btc invested.
Right now, we are TOP performer, even if our total worth in btc is much less than others.
XQN last 24h is almost 50% of ALL revenues generated on staisybit.

Please, also remember to sell some of your stakes,preferably in our OTC thread or by putting sell orders on exchanges.
Doing this helps on multiple purposes, but also ensures you to slowly secure your profits and increase your buy power in general.

Selling your stakes in our OTC market, enables many arbitrage trade opportunitys, or allows you to sell a  larger amount of XQN by utilizing our Multi Market Liquidity feature.
You get full market value on your XQN+ 5% bonus for direct trading.
Now, you have 5% more value in various altcoins you can sell in multiple markets and gain higher profits...

Happy (cloud) staking!

i think turning POW on is not a bad idea, would lead into an implementation closer to DASH right?

If it could be done safely then perhaps it is the best solution.

We would need people to mine the coin though to keep it secure.

With the price so low it might not be very attractive to mine so that would be only downside I can see.

i would instantly put miner on it.
Cpu friendly  algo, AUXPOW and merge mine, no extra inflation at all, and most masternode/stakers would likely use some cpu power if they could.
Iknow i would Wink

DMD Multipool / DMD CLoudmining is down until issues with hosting company are solved

it seems running cryptocoin services in their network is forbidden by their terms of use

in case we find no solution with them (which im afraid will not happen....)

we have to move to another hosting provider

i keep ya updated

DMD Multipool and DMD CLoudmining income is not affected

only the frontend logic and process payouts was managed by that server

as soon as we open server at new place again we can process all payouts and nothing will be lost

If you need some help with hosting, I myself have some space available on a server or two I own. Then I have a friend in the BURST community who will very soon have an INSANE setup going in with his colo, and I'm sure I could work you an awesome price on a portion of that. Just let me know!

I don't think my host has anything bad to say about crypto, as I've been running my pool there with over 2 petabytes (sometimes up to almost 4 petabytes) of mining power for over a year. I think I'd have figured out their dislike of crypto by now!  So yea, let me know, and I'm sure I can help out in this regard. Smiley

------- on an unrelated note --------

PS... if there's anyone here that would like to do a straight up trade for BURST to DMD, let me know! I am looking to buy, but until I can re-buy my sold BTC from the past few months (until receiving my child-tax awesomeness awesomeness this month. lol) I am sitting on mainly BURST with which to trade... and I hardly ever sell much there, I like my stash. But I really want to pick up some DMD...

So anyone willing to trade, for BURST (I think I have maybe .25 BTC or so as well I could get rid of) and also, some BURST assets that payout monthly (based on my pool's fee, and a 30+ TB miner I run, plus a few other random sources) and has been paying out monthly over a year and never missed a payment. It will never miss one. Just let me know, I'd appreciate it! Thanks!
I am interested in trading some DMD for burst and assets.
Let me know.

Term deposits
1 week term deposit ~ 6.5% bonus on interest
1 month term deposit ~ 25% bonus on interest
3 month term deposit ~ 60% bonus on interest
6 month term deposit ~ 87% bonus on interest
1 year term deposit ~ 100% bonus on interest

Nice, will be doing some 3-6month locks.

Hello community!

Our block explorer service is taken down, and we got reply from the operator he stopped the service for all coins in general as it was to expensive to run the services for free.
This is 100% understandable, and i do think we as a community own this very friendly explorer provider some tips as he did run the service entirely free for us all!

They also run the coinwallet.io pos pool, so show some love and deposit some for staking there if you can.

I am in the prosess of setting up a new explorer, which will be self hosted on servers belonging to XQN project in general.
Do not have an ETA for this, as i never done anything similar but fun to learn new things.
Anyone want to contribute to such costs and investments is welcome to do so, and any currency could be used.

Asset fund will be catched up end of week, and everything is expected to run full steam from monday.
From monday, we will do bi-weekly revenue distribution, as our OTC incomes is very variable and takes time to build it up regarding users who actually use it.
A describing note on how traders could benefit greatly by using this option is under construction.

Things are actually looking good, and we are really looking forward to when we can reveal everything going on.
We are the real deal, world, prepare yourself for massive changes for the better of life and existence in general.

We are....
We do forgive, but we do not forget.

Should I buy CRAVE and setup 4 Masternodes.
Hi,

It depends on your intensions for wanting to buy them.
If you look for a fast ROI, NO do not buy any at all.
Hovewer, if you like what is been presented and want to be a part of that, and can afford to lose what you invest/gamble sure go for it!

It all comes down to what you want to get out from it.
If you decide to buy, and need any help to set them up let me know.
We are almost ready to launch our cold storage masternode hosting service, where the user is always in controll of their funds.

Dear All,

probably you can help me to start mining at Windows.
So I have installed the client and it seems to work well.
After closing the client I went into debug of the HodlCoin and inserted there: setgenerate true
But no mining was happening, so I guess I missed something or need to do it in a different way.
Any help how to start mining at windows (for dummies... Wink )

Many thanks in advance!

Best regards

Richi

In console of running wallet, type this:
setgenerate true x (x equals amount of cpu cores to use.
setgenerate true -1 to use all cores.

Happy mining!

Thanks incognitoworker, really that easy! That is even for a noob as me possible!

Thanks FreeTrade, checked the CPU usage and its at 99% - really working.

Curios to see if there are any blocks. First time solo mining for me. Will there be than just more coins in the wallet automatically, if I have found a block?
Thanks for helping out again!

Richi

Yes, you will "suddenly" see 50 coins comming Smiley

would it help if we raise a development Fund?

I would contribute towards a development fund if it's needed.

me too

CryptoVote, could you let us know what needs to be done to get Sling working correctly.

These are the two options I have come up with so far to get masternodes fully functional:

1) Turn PoW on again.
2) Use the block hash generated from another coin.

The development fund would definately help with hosting costs.  If we can get masternodes working, I would like to implement Dash's budget system to sponsor development and foundation projects.

What kind of hosting you need?
Got lots of servers running which could be set up for what you need.
Our project in xqn is holding sling for a long time and we are interested in helping out where possible.
Actually, sling could become a partner/cooperator in our comming service node project where we plan a mega swap/merge.

179  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [*] 8BIT [Dark Masternodes][Anon][Roadmap Stage 4] on: February 01, 2016, 11:53:26 PM
Hi,
Anyone running a "controller" wallet to start multiple masternodes?
Tried this guide from DNET, but 8bit client crashes for some reason.

Have tried this in controller wallet, and wallet gets Runtime error:
MN1 xxx.xx.xx.xx:9998 MASTERNODEPRIVKEY TRANSACTIONHASH 1(index)

MN1 xxx.xx.xx.xx:9998 MASTERNODEPRIVKEY
"TRANSACTIONHASH" : "1"

Where is my error/s?
Thank you,

IW

Step 1: From the very begining, on your laptop in the console enter "masternode genkey" twice, and enter
"getaccountaddress MN1" and "getaccountaddress MN2", the MN1 and MN2 could be substituted with any name
you would like to call the masternode addresses.

Step 2: Send 10k DNET to each of the addresses generated in step 1, making sure to send exactly 10k, in
one transaction to each. Now, execute "masternode outputs" in the console of your laptop wallets.

Step 3: Open the masternode.conf file in the data directory of your laptop's wallet and edit it. In one
line for each masternode follow this format: ALIAS IP:51472 MASTERNODEPRIVKEY TRANSACTIONHASH INDEX. The
ALIAS can be anything you want it to be, but for simplicities sake it may be best to use the name you used
for the wallet addresses, MN1 and MN2 in this example. The IP is the IP where the masternode wallet can be
found. the MASTERNODEPRIVKEY is the output from the command "masternode genkey" you entered earlier.
The TRANSACTIONHASH and INDEX are the output you received when you executed "masternode outputs" earlier.

Step 4: Open the darknet.conf file in the data directory of the controller wallet, again, on the laptop in
this example, Modify the contents to match this:
rpcuser=long random username
rpcpassword=longer random password
rpcallowip=127.0.0.1
listen=0
server=1
daemon=1
logtimestamps=1
maxconnections=256

Step 5: Close the wallet and restart it.

Step 6: Open the darknet.conf file in the data directory of one of your masternode wallets, on a RPi in this
example. modify the contents of the file to look like this:
rpcuser=long random username
rpcpassword=longer random password
rpcallowip=127.0.0.1
listen=1
server=1
daemon=1
logtimestamps=1
maxconnections=256
masternode=1
masternodeprivkey=XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX
Replacing the username and password with your own, and replacing the Xs with the masternode private key that
corresponds to the masternode alias you would like for this masternode.

Step 7: Close and restart that wallet.

Step 8: repeat steps 5 and 6 for the other masternode wallet, the other RPi in this example.

Final step: Now, both of your masternodes are setup, you just need to start them, you will do this with the
controlling wallet on your laptop. Open the console of the controlling wallet and enter "masternode start-many"
you should get an output something like this:
{
    "overall" : "Successfully started 2 masternodes, failed to start 0, total 2",
    "detail" : {
        "status" : {
            "alias" : "mn1",
            "result" : "successful"
        },
        "status" : {
            "alias" : "mn2",
            "result" : "successful"

OK, here is how to setup multiple DarkNet masternodes. I am going to use RPis as the masternodes in this example,
with a wallet on your laptop acting as the controller, I am also going to write this for 2 masternodes,
but the directions could be expanded to as many as you want. The concept could also be changed around as
you please using VPSs or other computers as your masternodes, as well as something else for the controller.
If using a VPS, or darknetd as opposed to the Qt wallet, all of the commands that are to be entered in the
console should be entered on the command line preceded by "./darknet-cli",for example "./darknet-cli masternode
genkey". This should go without saying, but don't enter the quotation marks when entering commands.

Step 4: Open the darknet.conf file in the data directory of the controller wallet, again, on the laptop in
this example, Modify the contents to match this:
rpcuser=long random username
rpcpassword=longer random password
rpcallowip=127.0.0.1
listen=0
server=1
daemon=1
logtimestamps=1
maxconnections=256

Step 5: Close the wallet and restart it.

Step 6: Open the darknet.conf file in the data directory of one of your masternode wallets, on a RPi in this
example. modify the contents of the file to look like this:
rpcuser=long random username
rpcpassword=longer random password
rpcallowip=127.0.0.1
listen=1
server=1
daemon=1
logtimestamps=1
maxconnections=256
masternode=1
masternodeprivkey=XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX

{
    "overall" : "Successfully started 2 masternodes, failed to start 0, total 2",
    "detail" : {
        "status" : {
            "alias" : "mn1",
            "result" : "successful"
        },
        "status" : {
            "alias" : "mn2",
            "result" : "successful"
        }
}
Thank you for very Nice tutorial, however i still have a issue.
Can you post an exact example of this line: ALIAS IP:51472 MASTERNODEPRIVKEY TRANSACTIONHASH INDEX ?

Have tried this, and wallet gets Runtime error:
MN1 xxx.xx.xx.xx:9998 MASTERNODEPRIVKEY TRANSACTIONHASH 1(index)

MN1 xxx.xx.xx.xx:9998 MASTERNODEPRIVKEY
"TRANSACTIONHASH" : "1"

Where is my error/s?
Thank you,

IW

The port has to be 51472, not 9998. So, MN1 xxx.xx.xx.xx:51472 MASTERNODEPRIVKEY 1
Ok, thank you.

I tried this aproach on another masternode coin but same error, could it be the same issue of using wrong port?
