541  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How do you handle your losses on: January 18, 2023, 07:57:40 PM
People prefer not to think about how they deal with losses in advance. You just want to win and based on that you can map out a certain strategy. Losses are seen as a kind of backup and everyone deals with their losses differently. You can have a nice system by building in a certain mechanism in case of losses, but most don't stick to that and then they go into overdrive. The consequences of this are known. If you don't want to think about possible gambling and the associated losses, it might be better not to gamble at all. Hardly any player can handle his losses well and 95% will continue to gamble.

So

Juventus lost by 5-1 this weekend.
Atalanta won by 8-2 Today.

Next week we will have Juventus-Atalanta.

What can possibly go wrong here?  Grin

I don't see a match like 6-2 ending next week. But for sure Atalanta will be able to beat Juventus in current form.

Sampdoria's gap to number 17 in the league is already 7 points. So serious problems. They have played a game less, but in the current form of this team that doesn't say much. A shame and a sensation if Sampdoria doesn't make it. AS Roma is currently 1-0 ahead of Fiorentina and with this result the team remains ahead of the ranking. Still a mediocre season for AS Roma. Winning last season's Conerence league is of little use to you in the competition. AS Roma will have to enforce at least participation in the EL for next season. I think qualifying for the CL is practically impossible.

I'm waiting for the big match Real Madrid vs Barcelona
The two will play the Supercopa de Espana final at the King Fahd International Stadium today

This season both of them have perform quite well, it will difficult to predict the winner of today's match. So which team have more potential to win today in your opinion?
Barcelona are already two goals ahead and it is what is expected knowing that Barcelona had more shots at goal than Real Madrid did and controlled the midfield excellently. Real Madrid will try to create more opportunities in the second Half and knowing how much of a quality side that they are, Barcelona will know that the possibility of them still getting back to the game and even winning it is still there. If Barcelona play the way they played in the first Half, they will score more to ensure the win.

Barcelona is already 0-2 ahead of Real Madrid for the Super Cup. Still, a nice score at halftime, I think, for Xavi and his men. Real Madrid may not give everything to win this match. Interests for this club seem to me to lie with the CL and the national title. Moreover, in the final you also have to beat the winner of the other semi-final. And Atletico Madrid knew before the competition at low-flyer Almeria and it eventually became 1-1 there. A disappointing season so far for Atletico, but still plenty of chances to eventually finish 3rd. It will hurt the club that Joao Feix has left, they desperately needed him but seemed to have higher ambitions. And rightly so.
544  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Why is it becoming a thread for casinos refusing paying very huge winnings? on: January 15, 2023, 07:57:44 PM
The answer is actually quite simple in this question. No casino likes to pay out a high amount. Often payouts are delayed or arguments are made that prevent the user's payout from being processed, and in this way the site wants the player to continue gambling until all their money is up. Gambling sites also call profitable players problem customers, they would rather lose them than get rich. However, it also has its advantages if big gamblers win a lot of money, but gambling sites then only hope that it is in the balance and that they will continue to gamble. Ultimately, a gambling site is only there for itself to make its own bank account bigger, not that of the customer.

Things are going from bad to worse for the top teams Ajax and PSV this season. It was clear to the bookmakers in advance of the competition that 1 of these 2 would be champions, but I don't think either of them will be champions again. Feyenoord, Twente and AZ are all playing better at the moment and Feyenoord can considerably strengthen its lead with a victory today. PSV could still hide behind the fact that Cody Gakpo has left, but at Ajax they have to look for another trainer. Twente is also not very far away, but forgot to score against Ajax. Twente was much, much better against Ajax and also hit the inside of the post twice. Ajax has deteriorated far compared to the past few years. How much time will Ajax give to the coach Schreuder?
546  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: January 15, 2023, 04:12:00 PM
Chelsea has a much bigger budget than Arsenal, and so may be able to pay him a better salary and a higher transfer fee. As a player, I would rather go to Arsenal at the moment, because they play better, are at the top and you are also assured of a basic place there faster. We've seen a lot of players come and go at Chelsea over the years, and not all newbies get the chance to play. With a lesser match or substitution you are already outside the selection. Chelsea are one of the teams that have probably had the worst transfer policy in recent years, but Barcelona have also made quite a mess of it recently.

In the end, another victory for Newcastle, which had started the restart of the competition moderately. Soon the big match for Arsenal. Out at Tottenham Hotspur is a serious showdown. A match that is quite important, with a win the gap becomes significant with United and City. Chelsea won with the greatest effort and smallest possible score. It was about time for Chelsea to win again. Don't think that's an omen for a good series, at Chelsea it's a hard fight for the points every game. The 10th place for Chelsea is of course an unworthy place. given the game image, they belong here somewhere, the same goes for Liverpool in 9th place.

Still, Bayern Munich's match against RB Leipzig is a serious test. Perhaps the best team after Bayern Munich. It is a pity that Bayern Munich usually has so little opposition in this competition. There used to be a serious title fight with competitor Dortmund, but that is really in the past. I don't know exactly how it came about that the differences between these 2 teams have become so great. They used to be about as good. Dortmund has brought in a lot of money for Haaland, but has now at least got Haaler back, who incidentally scored no fewer than 3 goals in a last friendly match. He seems to have fully recovered from his illness.

AC Milan is in danger of losing points in an away match at Lecce. 2-2 after 83 minutes, but AC Milan trailed 2-0. In that respect you could say that a draw is still a kind of victory, but at this stage AC Milan must win to keep up with leader Napoli. I think that AC Milan will not get further than a draw in this match. If anyone can still win the match, it might be the home team as Milan has to take risks and want to win. It didn't surprise me that Juventus' run of victories has come to an end, who managed to win by minimal numbers in many games and also often scored the winning goal in the last minutes of the game. That can't go well. After the defeat against Napoli, they know where they stand again.
550  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [CHESS] FIDE Candidates Chess Tournament 2022 on: January 14, 2023, 06:30:37 PM
Today the first round of the heavily occupied tournament in Wijk Aan Zee started. Carlsen - Aronian has now ended in a fairly boring draw. But we often see such results in these tournaments, and we will see a lot of draws in this round. There are not that many boards in the strongest group where a color is much better. Carlsen has already said he will not make any statements in relation to accusing Hans Niemann of cheating. Who is not present at this tournament. Maybe for the best, I think Carlsen wouldn't play otherwise and probably other players wouldn't either. The Niemann case is far from over and will continue. He also filed a $100 million claim.

These types of matches often end in a draw. Carlsen with white also had trouble today against Aronian. I think Aronian is the oldest player in this field, which is quite unique. He is only 40 years old. Aronian lost his then wife a few years ago, who had died in a traffic accident. He has a new girlfriend and seems to have revived his chess life as well. But I don't think he belongs to the real world top anymore. There is also a kind of B group in this tournament, but I think there is little interest in that. Those are players who are normally not even among the best 70 in the world. Extra measures have also been taken against cheating, which has been discredited by the actions of Niemann from the USA.
551  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Saudi Professional League 2022/2023 on: January 14, 2023, 06:08:24 PM
The rival of Ronaldo's team is eager to recruit Messi. Would there be a realistic chance that he will go there like Ronaldo? Then you will get a nice conflict between the 2. They may also spend a lot of time together. I don't see enough games to judge the level, but what I heard from the national team of Saudi Arabia is that almost the entire team is part of the national champion of Saudi Arabia. So they are well matched. And you always play in the sun, since cold and snow do not occur there. They also have their own CL through that continent, so it's not just playing in the league. It would be a nice challenge for Messi, but above all a financial one.
552  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2022/2023 on: January 14, 2023, 06:05:54 PM
Defeats for both Liverpool and Manchester City. Liverpool had already made a mess of their season anyway, but City are still in the title race and are now dependent on Arsenal's results, which could run out again, making the title very serious. But that game is tomorrow against fellow townsman Tottenham. That will be a charged duel and is certainly not easy for Arsenal. Arsenal are better at the moment but at Tottenham any team can lose if you are not careful. If Arsenal manages to win, the gap with City is suddenly 8 points. That is already quite a lot, even though we are only halfway through the competition. And City are also not the unbeatable team of a few seasons ago and may lose even more games. The same goes for Arsenal. I see united more as a fighting machine at the moment, even though it says quite a capital in the field
553  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Italian League Prediction Thread (Serie A) on: January 13, 2023, 11:55:01 PM
With the score 2-1 in favor of Napoli, I thought Juventus might be able to make it 2-2. When I hadn't looked at the result for a while, I saw that the scoreboard was suddenly 5-1. Quite a humiliation for Juventus, which was actually working on a good series. All in all, Napoli will be satisfied with the results after the winter break. lost at competitor Inter but won against the other competitor Juventus. And because Inter lost expensive points at Monza last week, the lead is almost the same as before. Gap between Napoli and Juventus 10 points, you can't just close that anymore. Napoli will occasionally lose a match, but simply plays by far the best team. I think they're just going for the championship. And in the CL they are also still active.

You can't actually designate a best player around the world. A lot of players have been of great value to the team in their own way. Should you then look at the prizes won? Then certain players would not have a chance on the basis of the World Cup because their team is not good enough for that. Examples are Salah and Mane just to name a few. Since Messi became World Champion with Argentina, the prize will probably go to him again at the next election. But Messi was certainly not the best player at the World Cup. I personally thought Mbappe was much better, as witnessed by all his goals in the final and he has also become the top scorer.

Rico Verhoeven unfortunately got injured while training. As a result, he cannot fight against a new opponent from Croatia Plazibat in March. He is very disappointed about this, he wanted to fight in March. Glory did say and has been confirmed by Verhoeven's management that the fight will still take place this year. But this year is just 2 weeks old, so that can also be halfway through the year. Very disappointing for the Kickbox fans, we would have loved to see this match in March. Verhoeven is usually never injured. Hopefully it's not too serious. He is also busy with an acting career. I expected him to have already said goodbye to the ring.

Juventus was still 2-0 behind, but has now done something back. As a result, there remains tension in this meeting. An important connection goal just before the break. Napoli are definitely favorites to win this game, but Juventus have scored quite often in the last minutes of games this season. I think Juventus might still be looking for victory, because a draw is not much use to them since the distance with Napoli is still 7 points. Still a lot of games to play, but I think that's a significant gap.
557  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tennis League All Thread on: January 12, 2023, 08:42:24 PM
It's a pity that Osaka will not participate. I'm surprised she kept it hidden for so long. You knew in advance that you would have a child. Or has it just come out that she is pregnant? The tournament director of the Australian Open clearly endorses Djokovic in his statement. He has said that spectators will be evicted from the stadium if they do not whistle at Djokovic. Doesn't really seem like the way to treat fans. Supporters in tennis matches are always allowed to express their preference for a player and players are more often called out for things. You shouldn't make threats to supporters then.
558  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Can players bet on their own games on: January 12, 2023, 08:40:17 PM
As soon as a player plays with a bookmaker who has a KYC and knows which player this is, it will certainly be noticed. I'm also pretty sure it's stated in the terms and conditions that players are not allowed to bet on their own matches. In fact, I think it's not even allowed to bet on a relevant match. So not even on your own match, but on a match of another team in the same competition is not allowed. If you only gamble with crypto and a gambling site isn't going to do any verification, you could get away with it. The only question that remains is whether you want to deliberately lose a match yourself.
559  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2022/23 on: January 12, 2023, 08:38:17 PM
What a weird time of year to play the Super Cup. Isn't that always played at the start of the competition, often before the competition starts? Barcelona is 0-1 ahead of Real Betis and it is only fifteen minutes to play football. Barcelona therefore seems to have won a nice prize again, although they prefer to become national champions if they can choose. Lewndowsky was again important for Barcelona by making it 0-1 a few minutes before the end. I don't think Real Betis can score a goal in this match. It is very stable at Barcelona this season, just look at the number of goals conceded this season. That is really very little.
560  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Italian League Prediction Thread (Serie A) on: January 12, 2023, 08:36:00 PM
Tomorrow may be the most important game of the year. Napoli - Juventus. The difference is currently 7 points. A considerable gap, but if Juventus win, the difference is only 4 points and then you really have an open title fight again. If Napoli manages to decide the game in her favor tomorrow, you might say that the race for the championship is over for Juventus, as the difference is suddenly 10 points. I actually don't see AC Milan getting much closer. They have much less quality than Juventus. Juventus will also have to try to win its matches more easily.
