This looks absolutely awesome, can't wait to fire it up!

Nice!  Are all coins supported?  If not, you can code something in which you grab coin icons from the -qt, to automatically add coins.

Privacy:  You're naked, but no one sees you.

Anonymity:  You're walking around the city naked, but nobody knows your name Cool

I like that one!   Cheesy

Wired reports on a Pennsacola, FL man named Jesse Angle who earns Bitcoins however he can. They quite literally help keep him alive.
Using the free Wi-Fi in an area park called Martin Luther King Plaza, Angle watches YouTube videos for roughly five cents worth of Bitcoin per pop as part of a service called BitcoinGet, a means to artificially drive traffic to video content, but it's one of Angle's sources of Bitcoin income.

He can watch up to 12 videos a day, netting him 60 cents at a time. He also uses Bitcoin Tapper, an app that dispenses fractions of Bitcoins with every tap of an icon.

Since setting up his Bitcoin wallet three to four months ago, Angle has grinded it out to earn somewhere between $500 and $630 of the digital currency. Bitcoin income supplements his food stamps and affords him a bit more comfort as he goes about his life.

There's a really cool Pennsacola charity called Sean's Outpost that takes donations for the homeless in Bitcoin instead of regular currency. So far the organization has raised $32,000 worth of Bitcoin for the area's homeless.

That's awesome!  Posting for future reference.

... Devil worship really? Unreal
I have a dog that certainly qualifies as a devil.

Having some trouble with the worship part though...

Almost makes me regret leaving Canada for this mess. Maybe Californians will come to their senses and vote to secede from the US before it's too late.

Good idea!

I didn't miss some aspects of the forum, but I did miss reading tons of different information.

I've been inactive, but apparently the forum has been hacked.  Is that correct?

How do receiver files work? is my base question.

Have you read the devtome wiki?  There is a section on how the receiver files work
http://www.devtome.com/doku.php?id=devcoin#receiver_files

Thank you!  I'm taking a look right now.

We've got an exchange and pool committee, anyone up for a faucet or store?

Also we might get coinpayments to accept us.

Hello, Devcoiners!

I am the founder of the Parabola Project!  We are aiming to create an innovative new coin with multiple services on launch, such as stores, faucets, exchanges, and more!  To support that, we are creating a 5% dev fund, in which every 94th block has six times the coins, but 5/6 of those coins go to the dev wallet.  I have noticed that devcoin has the same thing, though with a 90% dev fund.  I am interested in the mechanism of that fund and how we can implement it into parabolas!

Thanks
xsquared

I am still seeking assistance!  Smiley

I don't understand the problem. The source code explicitly explicates the mechanism by which the fund is funded.

So maybe you want somehow an explication of how it happens to be the case that very often when Unthinkingbit proposes an expenditure from the fund be scheduled he doesn't get shot down?

Or maybe you want an explication of how it happens to be the case that some addresses get added into the list of recipient addresses and some do not?

Or maybe an explication of how it happens that some get removed from the list?

Or what?

NOTE: Please be so kind as to continue this line of query in the thread you linked above, or create a thread specifically about "Who gets to be on DeVCoin's disbursements lists, what for, for how long" type of topic.

Just make sure that a GPU miner can't be made easily. *Points at XPM*

Nice, this is turning out quite well!  Thank you to all for your support!

I was just wondering if there was a way to implement the "parabola" part!

What is the general consensus about android wallets for alt-coins? do people think they are worth investing time/energy into creating? Would they actually be used? Or, are people worried about potential android bugs and wouldn't use a mobile wallet even if it were available?

Trying to prioritize features/services here.

How do you make an android wallet?  I heard it's like Linux so will the Linux qts be compatible on droid?  I'm interested for an android wallet for the parabola project.

One thing I've realised. All of the AES candidates are based around encryption from a key. If we go for a quark-style hash system, then if we are being secure, we need 14 different keys.

Something for donators to suggest?

Should I start a donation fund?

I'm bumping for services and devs.  Remember, if you contribute you will be given a share of the 5% dev fund.
