They question is, what the fuck can you people do about it? NOTHING. You can sit there and talk shit.

You'd be better off using AdBlock Edge (fork of AdBlock Plus), it doesn't allow any sponsored ads like the normal version.

When you're dealing with these kinds of heathens I'm starting to wonder if the hands-off approach, or non-interventionism, is really sufficient in this case. Tho, I'll bet it's the interventionists that have given the bad guys here all the weaponry they need to subjugate these poor civilians when it would seem like a better idea to arm the poor folk instead. So, coming full circle it's obvious how this all started to begin with and my original musing makes no sense.

Look at the Afghanistan invasion. Initially, the anti-Taliban Northern Alliance were provided with weapons by the NATO, and they were able to push the Islamists out of Kabul. Similarly, NATO should supply weapons to the Kurdish Peshmerga, so that they can kick the ISIS out of Iraq. But I really doubt whether NATO will do that, as they are supporting ISIS in Syria.

Afghanistan wouldn't have been so fucked up if the RUSSIANS hadn't traumatized and raped it, as they did BEFORE America went there.

And the Russians dumped TONS of weapons there. ANd created a power vacuum from which the Taliban arose.

Hmmm you seem to be forgetting that is was the US who created, trained and financed the Taliban to fight the Russians. They even taught them how to hijack planes and make improvised explosives ffs

George Galloway declares Bradford ‘an Israel-free zone’ and warns away ‘Israeli tourists’  Grin

George Galloway claims to have “declared Bradford an Israel-free zone”, saying that he wants the city to reject all Israeli goods, services, academics – and even tourists.

Reportedly speaking at a meeting of the Respect Party in Leeds at the weekend, Mr Galloway urged the people of that city “to do the same”.

The MP for Bradford West’s comments were captured on video and posted to YouTube, and have since been met with an angry backlash on Twitter.

According to the footage, which was posted on the Guido Fawkes blog, Mr Galloway told activists: “We have declared Bradford an Israel-free zone.”

He said: “We don’t want any Israeli goods. We don’t want any Israeli services. We don’t want any Israeli academics, coming to the university or the college.

“We don’t even want any Israeli tourists to come to Bradford, if any of them had thought of doing so.

“We reject this illegal, barbarous, savage state that calls itself Israel. And you have to do the same.”

On Twitter, user Paul Scott said Mr Galloway was “channeling Hitler here”. Another said he had “lost the plot”, and many joked that Israelis were unlikely to be “rushing to change their holiday plans”.

It is by no means the first time Mr Galloway has caused controversy with comments on Israel.

In October last year he was accused of “racism” after walking out of an Oxford University debate saying: “I don’t debate with Israelis.”

Hammas is very good at propaganda and making Israel look very bad

I think Israel is pretty good at making themselves look bad, without any of this so called propaganda. Kind of hard to put a positive spin on that fact that hundreds of kids have been blown to pieces.

Well we can thank Bush and Blair for this nightmare in Iraq, the only liberation that happened was Western liberation of Iraq's oil supplies.....

ISIS executes 1500 POWs!

Blame Bush!

Yeah, sure, buddy.  Sure.  Blame it on Bush.

Damn right I blame it on Dubya, if that knuckle-dragging mongoloid hadn't decided to invade Iraq, millions would probably still be alive and ISIS might not even exist.

Not exactly a Saddam supporter but he used to keep shit under control...

Still waiting for them to find Saddam's elusive WMD's.....

Too bad there was no liberation of the oil.  Western oil companies are taxed more in Iraq than they are in the oil producing regions in the United States and Canada.  Iraqis are also exporting oil to China and even to countries hostile to America.

How Iraqi money comes to the west is the US government makes them to overpay for obsolete military hardware or monkey model Abrams (and the juicy maintenance contracts).  Iraqi government also has to employ a lot of foreign firms for engineering and civil projects (which to be fair they can't really do themselves.  That's like the pipeline project in Libya, Gaddafi didn't do that it was technically German-Italian firms.  Much like Dubai says they want to send a man to Mars but it'll probably be American space companies doing the literal work).

Yeah nowadays I think China is the biggest customer, they're buying up about half the oil Iraq produces. That wasn't the case immediately after the invasion.

The 'reconstruction' of Iraq is another $billion scam for the corps, overcharging the Iraq government for non-existent civilian projects.

390  Other / Politics & Society / 17000 sign up to lawsuit against Facebook for supporting NSA spying on: August 06, 2014, 09:35:08 AM

More than 17,000 Facebook members have joined a class action lawsuit accusing the social network of violating data protection law and supporting spying by America's National Security Agency.

The suit was launched on 1 August by a 26-year-old Austrian law student, Max Schrems, who filed his claim to be heard in his home country. He called for 1 billion Facebook users to join his case.

By Monday, 5,000 Facebook members had signed up for the action via a specially created app that can be accessed from desktop computers and mobile devices, handing over details of their Facebook memberships, their addresses and scans of identity documents. By Tuesday, more than three times that number were on board.

Schrems, who described the response to his appeal as "giant", told the Reuters: "The emails and feedback have been really positive and what is interesting is that many people say finally someone is doing something in this direction."

The case is being brought against Facebook Ireland, which is based in Dublin and runs the network's activities outside of America.

"Our aim is to make Facebook finally operate lawfully in the area of data protection," said Schrems. "We love to complain constantly about data protection problems in Europe, now it's also time for us to enforce our fundamental rights. Within the framework of this class action individuals can also make a contribution to this effort."

The world's biggest social network has 1.32 billion users, and its shares are trading at a record high, valuing the company at almost $200bn.

But Schrems claims Facebook Ireland has committed unlawful acts, including "support of the NSA's 'PRISM' surveillance programme", tracking Facebook users on external websites, for example through "like" buttons, passing user data to external applications without authorisation, and not securing effective consent for many types of data use.

The suit mentions in particular Graph Search, a Facebook feature which produces lists of named members in response to queries such as "Friends who live in San Francisco", or even "Facebook employees who live in London".

The claim for damages has been set at a "token" €500 member. The suit is being financed entirely by Roland Prozessfinanz, a specialist litigation funding company, which will take 20% of any damages awarded. The rest of the damages will be handed back to the claimants, unless the balance is under €5, in which case it will be donated to charity.

"Because of our long history as a litigation funding company we are used to levelling the playing field in the fight between David and Goliath. In this case it is particularly necessary," said Arndt Eversberg, chief executive of Roland.

Under Austrian law, a group of people may assign their claims to one litigant, in this case Schrems, thus creating a class action. But those who hand over their claim to Schrems will not be liable for any costs.

"We are only claiming a small amount, as our primary objective is to ensure correct data protection," said Schrems. "However, if many thousands of people participate we would reach an amount that will have a serious impact on Facebook."

Nope, most of my mates who didn't go to college or uni are on a higher salary than me. They're either tradesmen or running their own business with the bonus of not being saddled with a huge student debt. Personally wouldn't bother with college unless you want to work in a specialised job like a doctor, vet etc.

The older I get, the more cynical I get. I'm at the point where I think it's best if things escalate totally out of control, and the resulting deaths and destruction on both sides are so horrid they agree to stop. I don't know if that would work out, but I truly doubt there is any other solution to this shit.

Both sides share a lot of blame, and I can't say I have much sympathy for any of the combatants. Blaming Israel alone is naďve, especially when you consider that every school anywhere in the middle east has maps that show that Israel doesn't exist, and they are constantly taught that Israel took their land and are evil. That is undeniable, and it forces a continuation of generational blood feuds. It's never ending hate propaganda.

Defending Israel is equally ludicrous. When you get right down to it, Israel is a theocracy...or the next best thing to that...trying to say it's a liberal democracy. It cannot ever be a liberal democracy, because the Palestinians would take control of the country in very few years.
You're right, a lot of people in the world do not understand the situation in Israel is much more complicated, the Israelis want to live in peace, the problem that the State of Palestine is conducted by the Hamas government and the Islamic Jihad, if done well it's like negotiate with al Qaeda or Hezbollah are organizations of terror did not want the existence of Israel, and worse than that Israel is trying to protect itself so well is sometimes harms innocent civilians but because Hamas shoots rockets at Israeli kindergartens, schools, and hiding the rockets basement home family living upstairs, so how Israel can protect its people and to give her some peace?? ... still not found a solution and it's really hard!

Terrorism from either side is wrong but put into context, more Israelis die from peanut allergies than Palestinian rockets.

Localbitcoins is probably the easiest, pay by bank tranfer and you can get btc within the hour. Best to just use sellers with a high amount of positive feedback.
