I had the same issue. Try consolidating with slushs proxy.

This guy is either a troll or batshit insane. He has no clue what he's talking about and he's completely lying about everything. Op please setup an appt with your psychologist. Everyone needs to stop interacting with him.
9083  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Newest blockchain db only 7.22 GB? on: March 23, 2013, 02:35:40 PM
The newest DB seems to be great. It's only 7.22 GB so far. The only one was much more I think. Am I correct? I wiped the old DB because it got corrupted and started fresh. Got caught up real quick.
9084  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: Vanitygen: Vanity bitcoin address generator/miner [v0.22] on: March 19, 2013, 05:19:29 AM
Thanks i gave up though. The gpu is actually pretty good on these ivy bridges. Unless vanity also requires amd like bitcoin, then yeah

Device: Intel(R) HD Graphics 4000
..
clBuildProgram: CL_BUILD_PROGRAM_FAILURE
Build log:
:173:19: error: __constant variables are required to be initialized
__constant bignum bn_zero;
                  ^
1 diagnostic generated.

error: front end compiler failed build.
Available OpenCL platforms:
0: [Intel(R) Corporation] Intel(R) OpenCL
  0: [Intel(R) Corporation] Intel(R) HD Graphics 4000

Intel compiler, for a GPU slower than a CPU will be. It doesn't seem to recognize that bignum is being initialized to the value of bn_zero. I would try installing a newer Intel OpenCL SDK and see if it understands code that works fine on AMD. Otherwise vanitygen would need to be altered (de-optimized) to support a GPU platform no Bitcoin miner would be using.
9085  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Alert: chain fork caused by pre-0.8 clients dealing badly with large blocks on: March 13, 2013, 02:48:34 AM
If this was a debate you don't have to follow along. You still have that power. But the majority voted. Also, this is still an infant community.

Some of this profit can be fairly spent RIGHT NOW on improvements to internalize transaction flow, or it should be blocked until it does. This is the real choice.
Wasn't one of the advantages of Bitcoin supposed to be that you don't need anyone's permission to use it? Rather than asking someone to stop or, worse, trying to make them stop, the better path is to fix yourself so they're not hurting you.
9086  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Alert: chain fork caused by pre-0.8 clients dealing badly with large blocks on: March 12, 2013, 02:43:51 AM
Thanks, reverted to .7. Seeing a lot of errors and going to just let it run.
I'm going to consider myself a miner because I run a p2pool node though I don't think anyone is using it at this point.

will downgrading redownload the entire chain? because wasnt the old db converted?
Nope, because the developers thought ahead with that point. Your chain will start at the last point you ran a 0.7 or below client.
9087  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Alert: chain fork caused by pre-0.8 clients dealing badly with large blocks on: March 12, 2013, 02:39:58 AM
What defines a miner? Someone solo mining? What about p2pool?
Why aren't wallets effected?
9088  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Alert: chain fork caused by pre-0.8 clients dealing badly with large blocks on: March 12, 2013, 02:38:39 AM
Why? I want to help. I have a 24/7 server. And I do have a p2pool public node running off it.

will downgrading redownload the entire chain? because wasnt the old db converted?

Just for everyone in the audience: Wallet users do not have to downgrade, this is just for the miners.

For the miners: that's not a bad question. :?

Obviously it was inspired by OP's service but that's where the similarities end.
