ANY MINING IS DEAD RIGHT NOW. Devs are going to push PoS on ETH because the number of hashrate from GREEDY GUYS has gone to the roof. They are going to stop it as soon as possible.
 
Before PoS, EIP 1559 will be implemented, and people will get something around 50% less than now. But still, greedy guys will say: hey! i'm making 2 dolars a day in summer overheating my house!Worth the suffering!!!

And once ETH goes PoS, PROBABLY 600TH OF HASHRATE will have to search for a living, and there will NO LIVING COIN TO REMAIN PROFITABLE ONCE THIS OUTRAGEOUS NUMBER OF GPUS FLOOD THE MARKET.

The matter is not WHEN TO STOP. The matter is WHEN MINING IS GOING TO INSTA-DIE.

403 TH of hashrate. This is PURE MADNESS.

1º there are NO COINS that can actually cope with 400TH of hashrate, and the ones the remain profitable right now will just get destroyed. I feel like discussing about this makes no sense because this is a fact. Many people will continue mining once ETH goes PoS. It will happen the same as when 4GB DAG file was reached and it was said, even by many big youtubers, that there would be a drop in hashrate of about 40%. Reality is that it was not even a 5% at most. Which means that people actually invested on more mining. This is just another way of living, and big investors and miners will continue doing it. 

It's evident that big farms will switch to other algos and remember, most hashing power is on mining Farms.

2º EIP is going to be implemented because , as you can imagen, ETH devs don't want hashrate to go to 500 or even 600TH of hashing power. Also remember that with big ASICS entering the market, a big big farm combined with others could potentially do a 51% attack. They know the risks of ASICS, and the best "easy" way of discouraging people from mining is actually implementing this EIP. I'm 100% it's going to happen, and it will happen before 6months.

3º PoS is already announced. You cannot compare. The amount of projects linked to ETH, the price, the hashrate, the implementation of ETH 2.0 is running as intended, and so you cannot say this is not going to happen soon because in the past (without this level of development) they couldn't complete their "timetable". PoS is happening, and we can bet if you want. My bet is end of 2021 , begining of 2022, at most. They are DETERMINED to do it on time, and they are going to rush it.

4º Vitalik is a well known ANTI-mining dev. His goal of ETH coins on the market was 100M. there are, at least, 114M right now, and the amount of coins generated everyday is at ATH. If there is a way to get rid of 20%/30% or even 40% of the mining hashrate, they will do it, because their main issue right now is INFLATION, directly related to mining. The more coins generated, the less value they will have. So they want to stop it ASAP. I feel like they are going to do it. For me, it would be nice if they "artificially inflate" the DAG to 6GB since all my cards are 8GB, so that would not affect me at all.

But, lets be clear. There are not so many cards mining ETH with 6GB cards. RTX 2060 were never meant to do that. IN fact, you could do that 30ish MH with just an RX 570 8GB. I don't think there are so many RTX 2060/1060/1660/super/ti and the like. If they were to inflate the DAG , they would do it until 8GB, although i can agree that they would have to study first which cards are mining because they could risk destroying a big part of the hashrate making it possible for big ASICS farms to do a 51% attack.

Anyway, the end is very near, and madness is just disgusting. here in Spain, i've been told that all the supply of RTX 3060ti that the biggest retailer was receiving next March has been sold to a guy with a mining farm. more than 1000 cards at a price of 600€ each.  And he also asked for all the RTX 3070/3080, but this operation was denied by the company. Supply of those cards is bound to happen in mid-end of March.

With this ENORMOUS HASHRATE we can now say without a single doubt:

1º Once ETH goes PoS, there will be , at least, 450TH of hashing power searching for coins to mine, which will DESTROY any viable coin till that point. So the end of ETH is the END of mining. This is A FACT. Unless there is a coin that increases it's prices by x10 at least so that "difficulty vs profit" gives at least some money back. Or that appears a new ETH, which , BTW has not appeared in the last 5 years.

2º With this enormous hashrate, ETH devs are going to follow the EIP-1559 and will be implemented ASAP. Why? Because this ridiculous amount of hashrate leeds to MORE INFLATION, more coins, and more profit for miners. And only 1 or 2 DEVs supports mining to continue as it is. And ETH devs don't want this profit to this extent. So, miners are going to get destroyed very soon. Fees will be burnt, and DEVS are going to implement it. This is a FACT for me.

3º As this madness continues, DEVS are going to rush the implementation of PoS, so the end of mining, and i'm 100% sure that they are going to do it before 2022. Some were saying that by end of 2022 or even 2023. With the current situation of madness, and it's going to continue because PEOPLE ARE GREEDY AF, DEVS will have no option but to rush to implement PoS.

4º ASICS are taking ETH. I feel like there are more and more getting into the hashrate, and this is a disaster to all the comunity, because ASICS are the most profitable machines outthere, by far. And only very few people are getting them, and they are destroying the rest. My guess here? DEVS are not going to implement ANY kind a anti-ASICS code on the net, and so, this very rich-greedy guys are going to continue flooding the pool with very powerfull high-efficient machines that will force DEVS to end ETH mining FASTER.


It doesnt matter which vision you have on ETH. This are FACTS, and as time goes by, more and more people are entering this market, and you, ALL OF US, are going to get less and less and less. It's a F. disaster. This is pure greed and madness.

I mean....wow. And it's going worse. The biggest retailer here in Spain has a section for Outlet, where they put all the products returned. that includes GPUs. One friend that works there has told me that there are at least 50 people with the F5 burning everyday to buy those cards. They last less than 1 minute online. I've seen it myself.

This feels really bad. And as time goes by, less profit for those that have been, like me, mining since 2017. This is terribly wrong. But i guess those real gamers that will want to get a high end GPU, only have to wait to end 2021 or maybe mid 2022 to see all those stupids selling for almost 50% off all the GPU they are buying, following prices of desperate people having to pay their own stupidity with the bank.

i got an XFX 5700 red dragon for 300$ (consider i live in Spain and here everything is much more expensive than in the US) almost brand new. I bios flashed it with the XT version of this card. At this very moment is doing 58mh/s at 140W at the wall.

Not everybody uses them to mine. i've seen many many RX 570 8gb for around 100€ on ebay+ shipping. i myself bought some a few months ago. I've seen Sapphire RX 570 nitro + 8gb for as low as 89€ sold on Ebay just 6 days ago.

Your point is good but! you forgot something.

the RX 5700 is very difficult to get it right now. the price here in Spain is around 350€ (410$) for the cheapest one, the MSI Mech OC 5700 8gb. You can get a Sapphire RX 570 Nitro+ 8gb for around 100€ and get it to do 30Mh/s+.

Yeah, probably it's a better buy an Rx 5700 but also much more expensive initially.

Another episode of "ETH hashrate going to the moon"!!

Just numbers.

15.000 GH/s have come to ETH in 24 hours. From 186.000 to 201.000GH/s. This are INSANE numbers. Crazy numbers. All nearly in the same day. Such a pump is very disturbing.

Since January, ETH has seen it's hashrate pump nearly 40%. 40%!!!!!!! from 145.000GH/s to 201.000GH/s

But, you may think this numbers are people that are switching coins right? Well HELL NO!!! almost all important coins have held steady their Hashrate the last 2 weeks, with little variations.

Consider also this: 4GB cards are having issues mining ETH. But!! the hashrate is still going up incredibly. There is something going on here.

Also, more data: according to HiveOS, 47% of all GPU mining there, are 4gb cards (580's 570's 480's and 470's). So eventually, the ETH hashrate should go down dramatically before December 2020.

More data: The biggest retailer here in Spain (i have an "spy" there)tells me that RX 580's are being sold incredibly well right now. Want a tip?

Believe me, the list goes on and on. More than 300 GPU's have been sold on the Nvidia side, Most of them 1660super and Ti. ( The Ti can do 32Mh/s at a very efficient power consumption). Moreover, this are just the numbers of GPU sold on promotion. I don't know the amount of GPU sold on normal conditions since you cannot see the amount of initial cards that were on sale for the promotion.

My "spy" has told me that the amount of GPU sold have increased a whopping 400% this week. This are only numbers seen by the end of 2017 begining of 2018

two more things. In spain, electricity is very expensive with a lot of taxes. The average BEST PRICE you can get is 0,1€ per KW (0.12$ per KW).

with a 6gpu mining ETH at 186mh/s , 0,12$ per KW at current numbers you are making no more than 30$. Are people buying GPUs on economic crisis to get this ridiculous amount of money???

Hello Guys.

I have a Sapphire Pulse VEGA 56 flashed to VEGA 64. It has samsung memory. This card is awesome for gaming , it's doing 1100mhz on the memory and for gaming my top result is 1675mhz on the core at 1050mv. After that, it will simply crash no matter how hard i push the voltage.

Now, in relation to mining, i've been able to get 50,1mh/s mining ETH on Claymore v15 following the instructions and values shown in this youtube video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PrkNpl2Y3h4 . I just changed the dark black ones and applied 1000mhz strap (using latest amd memory tweaker)and done.

The issue here is simple: Is there a way to specify this mem settings on Claymore miner?? Do i have to load always the memory tweaker in test mode Windows 10 so that those timings are applied??? Is there a faster way to apply this timings "on the fly"

But the weirdest thing of all, is that i knew something was not working because the miner continued showing the normal hashrate but the power consumption of the mining rig was with 2 gpus less. (from 815W from the wall to 640).

Also when i saw the shares of all cards, I knew something was not going well because the two RX 580 4gb had about 400 shares less than the 8gb cards. So, don't trust the info shown by the miner. Watch the power consumption instead!!!

The issue is that the card takes too long to add the dag file to the memory. Normally, dag is created in about 10.000ms (about 10 seconds), 7 seconds most part of the time. But since dag 350, my 2 RX 580 4gb need about 70 seconds. Since watchdog reinitialises the miner at 60 seconds, the cards stay offline all the time and the miners stop working.

The work-around is to disable Watchdog or add more time to reiniciate the mining rig after a GPU fails as it's detected by WD.

ETH total hashrate has dropped from 184.000 GH/s to 176.000GH/s almost due to this.

I also have issues with RX 580 4gb cards today. They suddenly stopped working. They don't seem to be able to deal with the DAG file. Any solution??

I'm going to tell you a "secret".

Most bears are bying coins OTC (over the counter). They buy them with cash and cheaper than at exchanges. they dump the coins onto the market, and gain the difference between the price payed and the price at exchange. The price goes down, not only because exchanges get that coins that they are not selling (coins are being bought directly to miners) but also seeing coming millions of coins from nowhere, making the problem even worse.

I KNOW for a fact that banks are acting like this to destroy the market, and they are having GREAT SUCCESS. Every support is becoming a huge resistance. You are going to suffer years and years of lower lows and lower hights , but hey.....CONTINUE PLAYING!"!!!

Most of you guys have lost money here. Only very very very skilled traders with good sharks and whales info have won money. The rest is in heavy losses. But you guys continue to believe in this. You are so blind!!!!!!
