Are we allowed to discuss EtHeReUm in here?

Technically it's an ALTcoin.. everything but BTC, it's an altcoin.

But if we even talk about "precious metals" here, anything can be tolerated..

if you are scared from BAKKT impact on market, then brace for more:

Bakkt to Launch Options on Its Bitcoin Futures Dec. 9

Quote
Bakkt announced Thursday that it would “launch the first regulated options contract for bitcoin futures,” adding a new product to its current slate of physically-settled bitcoin futures contracts. CEO Kelly Loeffler said in a Medium post that the contracts were built in response to customer feedback, and that ICE Futures US self-certified the contract through the U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC).

I am afraid time has come to write the option equivalen to my Everything you wanted to know about BTC futures but were afraid to ask! post.
Gigantic work, but has to be done.

Options for bitcoin FUTURES, again. How about plain old options? I wonder why they're approaching it this way.

Option on a physically settled future on bitcoin are basically the same thing of an option on the bitcoin itself. I really can’t see any difference.
They are doing so to “recycle” a few items legally I think. But nothing real for the user.

Edit: I saw the message from Javi on the choice between physical or cash settlement of the options. I don’t know his source, but it looks very odd to me, but everything is possible.
If I know more, I will let you know.

The source is the link you provided: https://www.coindesk.com/bakkt-to-launch-options-on-its-bitcoin-futures-dec-9

"Notably, customers will have the choice of options contracts settled with cash, meaning customers receive the fiat equivalent to the contract’s value at expiration, or physically, meaning they receive the actual bitcoin."

Was just reading from @100trillion iirc that tools like futures and gbtc are created to suppress Bitcoin's price. Since they do not own actual BTC but still want to short it.  The long of this is,  Bitcoin's price might not be Bitcoin's price, gamed prices and timelines.

If i dont understand wrong, to supress the price you need actual selling of BTC.
Some morons betting on btc price (cash settled future contracts) cant affect the price.
BUT it seems they managed to get a selling counterpart (baaad whale).. They bet on a low price, and in the other side they actually sell BTC. Then the whale rebuys lower. (rinse and repeat)

Rigged game. They win, we suffer observing walls...

You seem to be very good at predicting...

I appreciate the sentiment, but to be honest, I'm just pulling gut-feelings out of my ass. Something hasn't felt right since the plunge down from $10k. We were stable for so long, and now have this shitfuckery to deal with. I suspect things are going to become wildly unpredictable the closer we get to the halvening. One of the reasons I'm trying to HODL strong until at least 2022 before making a decision to do anything with a small portion of my stash - Counting on it easily being over $25k USD/BTC by that time.

Just another week in Bitcoinlandia, either way.

Now 2022 for over 25k?

If we keep pushing back dates, we will be all be dead by then

Wheres my hopium? I need an extra dose...

I know we need a shake out, V bottom or whatever to change trend.. but this dump is too much. (-6% out of nowhere)

Honey badger, you are overreacting...

6500 is apparently cost of production these days, it will be interesting to see what happens if bitcoin gets to those levels.

Cost of production depends on many factors worldwide. Many miners are already working with no profit at this level.

Trump Administration Popped 2017 Bitcoin Bubble, Ex-CFTC Chair Says

McAfee/Gabbard 2020

Real life (troubles) got me busy these days, but i came to post that article too. I read it yesterday and it got me so angry, that my limited english language skills wont let me express...

It would be a thousand times better than Bitcoin ... although as it comes from a congressman, many of its reasons have a political and control tint.

Source:https://cointelegraph.com/news/us-congressman-facebook-should-add-bitcoin-not-create-libra

Congressman Warren Davidson:

Quote
”Facebook already filters content — some people say with bias, some people say it’s great, they’re protecting my safe space [...] So do we want filtered speech or free speech? Do we want filtered transactions or freedom?”

Although they think that the launch may bring destabilization to the economy, I think Bitcoin would do it with more hegemony.

If we dont pump on news like this, i give up...

The BTC price is holding at a steady $8,400 range. With the release of bakkt we should be seeing 10k within a week or 2. I believe another bull run is coming. I would only sell partial bags and hold the rest long term.  Remember BTC price cannot crash if noone sells! If noone sells the price HAS to go up!

welcome to last month
