361  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [ANN] Introduction to DualMiner USB (could mine both BTC and LTC) on: January 30, 2014, 08:31:43 AM
I got couple PMed questions of bulk buy. Let me provide open answers here for everyone who may have the similar questions. We expect to receive 1,800 DualMiner USB very soon in SF Bay Area. We will reopen our on-line store as well as open bulk buy once getting these devices in hands.

Minimum bulk order is 50 units, and you can order multiple of 50 units. Detailed discount break down as following;
50~99     $88.20 ea.      0.11 BTC ea.
100~299 $83.30 ea.      0.105 BTC ea.
>=300     $79.38 ea.      0.1 BTC ea.
You may need to pay California State sales tax if you have a California address. You also need to pay for domestic shipping  if required.

Thanks.

Ill ask again since you still have not responded, can I pick these up in person? Sf is a hop skip and a jump away and Ill already be in Napa for the meetup on the 4th...

any proof this is not a scam yet?  Grin

who received something?

We are about a month away from the projected shipping date so no, no one has revived anything yet. Im getting so tired of hearing everyone's speculations at this point. Maybe everyone from BA is in a parallel reality and they are communicating from the astro plain.

So it doesn't look like they will be shipping end on Feb?

Short answer, we don't know.  The only updates that have been given in the last month have been updates along the lines of, "we are on schedule or slightly ahead", but even these have run out in the past 2 to 3 weeks or so.

So, we could very possibly be on schedule, but not be being given any updates and the units will ship on time and everyone will be happy and praise BA for being awesome, etc.
or...
eventually BA will say that they are behind schedule and everyone will be really upset and mad that they waited so long to do so and pledge to never buy from them again and seek legal action, etc.

But I think that about sums up where the customers are at this point.

Yea pretty much. Its a hurry up and wait type situation rite now.

I wish you had some sellers I would send the coins to ProfMac but it seems pointless at this time..

dualminer I assume that you will not allow local pickup considering that you have avoided the question several times. Would you mind please explaining your stance on this topic?

372  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Looks like the feds are trying to get their way into stopping BTC. on: January 28, 2014, 10:07:47 AM

The ones that refuse to see this for what it is, are pathetic.

He wasn't just operating an exchange, if that's all he was doing he would be just fine.

Shrem was laundering money in the millions for a drug operation via Bitcoin and his exchange.

If you will read the complaint, the evidence is compelling.

This is not an attack on Bitcoin as badly as the fringe few would like to portray it.

The guy got caught red handed and unfortunately represents Bitcoin as a whole.

He needs to go asap.

~BCX~

I fully agree, but as always there will be people like the OP spreading scarry stories. This is democracy - 3 idiots will always scream louder than 1 smart guy.

Lets all remember that he has not been convicted of a crime nor has any evidence has been presented yet. A criminal complaint is not itself evidence, nor is it an attempt to prosecute the case. A criminal complaint is simply a statement by the prosecutor outlining the reasons they believe they have adequate cause to charge someone with a crime.

This represents Bitcoin as a whole because he is one of the few faces of the Bitcoin Foundation. Their charter reads: "Bitcoin Foundation standardizes, protects and promotes the use of Bitcoin cryptographic money for the benefit of users worldwide." not exactly what he is being accused of. This is not exactly improving the reputation of Bitcoin as a whole nor is it helping the public misunderstandings, misinterpretations and misrepresentations.

Unfortunately regardless if he is guilty or not this is a big blow to the face of Bitcoin. We as a community need to have some serious discussions on who is representing us, what those people stand for and what our over all vision is in the future. If we don't I see some stormy weather ahead.

I have to say again that the OP was IMHO trying to spread FUD for some personal agenda but that does not negate the fact that this is a serious hit to our community. Not because the Silk Road is Bitcoin but because having the Vice Chairman of the Bitcoin Foundation in a national news story linking him to it leaves egg on all of our faces. It is up to us to clean up this mess and take a good hard look at what we want the world to see us as in a whole.
373  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Looks like the feds are trying to get their way into stopping BTC. on: January 28, 2014, 06:19:56 AM
How do these allegations against Sherm make you all feel knowing that he is the Vice Chairman of the Bitcoin foundation?
374  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [ANN] Introduction to DualMiner USB (could mine both BTC and LTC) on: January 28, 2014, 06:02:49 AM
Are these available for local pickup? I live in Ca and I think paying $15 for shipping is insane.
375  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Looks like the feds are trying to get their way into stopping BTC. on: January 28, 2014, 12:50:12 AM
Not really when you think about it because they are arresting him on suspicion that he was exchanging money for bitcoins, based on because he was doing it for people that was using silk road. And either you didn't read the story or your super man that can read a whole page in like 3 seconds then come back here and respond because you responded awfully quick to the time I started this thread.

Or maybe he read the story from one of the other 3000000000 threads that contain the same info between here and reddit. This story has nothing to do with the FED trying to stop Bitcoin, it is about them trying to stop money laundering. They didnt even mention Bitinstant in the arrest warrant which means that they are looking at Shrem and not Bitcoin. Stop spamming this crap and trying to push your agenda to create panic about something that does not really impact our community in the slightest way. Bitcoin does not equal silk road.

But with the news in this thread I am not sure booking a ticket is such a good idea.
I bet you were not. Nobody can be that noob, even with only 5 posts.
