My name is Scott Offord. I'm a broker of ASIC mining equipment (new and used). How this thread will work:
Every time I have a buyer who needs to acquire gear or a seller who needs to get rid of gear, I'll post a new reply to this thread. If you have questions about any of the items posted, please follow the specific telegram channel link in that reply to learn more. If at any time, you'd like to message me privately, please do so at https://t.me/offordscott I don't reply via the BitcoinTalk private messaging feature very much because it's a nightmare to use, so please find me on Telegram instead.
If you are interested in seeing my deals on a daily basis, watch this thread by clicking "watch" or "notify" above, or subscribe to my Telegram channel at: https://t.me/asicminerchannel

It's great to hear that you guys like to browser by broker name, but that's not have many people browse. Please, I can EASILY ship 1000 miners from Asia to USA for cheap and still deliver on budget as though it were purchased within USA. So, having three threads separated by Region doesn't really solve much.
Separating by Algorithm would make more sense to me. Or separating by new or used miners, or separating my brand or miner type would be nice too. Doing that within a single or within three topics is still not going to be a very nice solution.
Could we start a Mining Equipment Brokers sub forum?
That way, the little guys can have their Computer Hardware forum and the big guys can have their own forum.

So, you want three threads? not one thread?
I'm not looking for a ton of views to my post. I'm looking for relevant views.
In my use case, I'd need at least separate threads for each Algorithm or separate threads for each model.
It's rare that buyers will surf only one particular user's threads for the latest deals. They want a specific brand or model and a certain quantity. They don't care who posts it.
Your experience might be different than mine. I know people think having one post per offer is spamming, but it's just s different use case than other people have.

I'm being asked by various members in the Computer Hardware forum to post ALL of my offers into one topic instead of creating separate topics per offer. To me, this is going to make it very difficult to manage, because I am a broker who has multiple brands and models and multiple buyers and sellers. Putting all my items into one post will make the Computer Hardware forum almost useless for me. Others are afraid that if I post separate topics for each offer that I have, it will clog up Page 1, but to me, making separate posts makes it much more relevant and competitive in a good way. Not in a bad way. They think I'm trying to push down other people's posts to Page 2, but that is not my intention. Honestly, I think older post SHOULD get naturally pushed to Page 2 because they are... OLDER. But what these people are trying to tell me is that they want all my offers to be in one post. This will quickly cause my single post to get out of hand. It will soon have hundreds of replies. and will quickly become the #1 post on the Computer Hardware forum at all times. I don't think you guys want that to happen, do you? You say you want the Computer Hardware forum to be "clean", but in my opinion, posting multiple offers into a single post will make the forum a jumbled mess and very confusing for the OP. The Forum guidelines say: After the sale... - Update the thread title as either Sold, Closed, or something suitable - Post in the thread the outcome, this helps provide insight as to whether a valid trade transaction place - Lock the thread once finished, and updated. Once all relevant information has been shared there is no need to leave it open, as it may get bumped months later.
So, by abiding by those guidelines, my post will either be updated multiple times per day, forcing it to be the first listing in the forum every day, or it will be impossible for me to lock it and let it die. Which do you want. We can't have both, we can't have all or nothing. We need a compromise.

Guys,
It is really quite useless for me to post so many deals in so many different countries of so many different brands of ASICs all in the same thread. It woul be a management nightmare for me as a broker.
I think it is reasonable to have one post per offer. Each post I make is a different seller/offer and if I combine them all into one, I would have no clue which seller/product someone is referring to when they reply to a post.
I think older posts should simply just drop off to Page 2. It's fair to say that older posts might very well become stale and the OP might not even care about the post after a few weeks. If the owner of a post on page two wants to get their post back on page 1, just update it or bump it or something (according to the rules).
I'm just explaining it from my prospective as an active broker who buys and sells from different people every day. If I had to combine everything into one post, there is no way to get any attention whatsoever for a new offer that I have available.
Are you saying that you want me to continually post to one topics so that every day my post will always be at the very top? That way, it would have hundreds of replies within a few weeks and would ALWAYS get the most attentions, but not necessarily the RIGHT attention.
I need the ability to post different topics for different brands of miners and for different types of offers from various sellers and buyers of mine. Lumping them all into one post would really make bitcointalk useless for me.

I'm an experienced broker. I know what I'm doing. To be honest, your offer to go pick up the units for me sounds really shady. You found someone who is selling miners, you want only a few of them, but you can't afford their MOQ. You want ME to pay YOU for the miners and then you'll drop ship them for me? There are just too many people involved and too much trust required. I would be happy to buy all the miners and then GIVE you a few at their original price by telling the seller that you have permission to pick up X number of them directly. You didn't like that offer. I didn't like your offer. I thought my offer was fair.
