I agree, everyday that goes by I become more and more convinced that the BTC I sent halong mining is gone forever.  I hope I'm wrong.  No one to blame but myself.  I am glad the community here is trying to get to the bottom of this.

Have faith buddy. Have faith. Rest well tonight. Your BTC is in good hands. Hit me up on Telegram or Skype and we can chat some more if you'd like. You have nothing to worry about.
1242  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: DragonMint 16TH/S halongmining.com on: December 27, 2017, 06:34:06 PM

But you must realise we have seen so many scams during history that we are very cautious.

I can respect this.

Yes... main complainers = trusted users Wink
1244  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: DragonMint 16TH/S halongmining.com on: December 27, 2017, 05:37:22 PM

...price stays the same(1650ish) more-less

...and the best thing trusted people from forum do the review

I can tell you this for sure... the price will be lower per TH than others currently on the market. And, reviews will be coming soon (not necessarily by power-users in this forum, but reviews are coming). I did request that a few units get sent to the main complainers of this thread, but it's not possible at this time.
1245  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: DragonMint 16TH/S halongmining.com on: December 27, 2017, 04:55:32 PM
...what assurance you have that you (and Adam Back etc) aren’t being used by Halong as puppets too, as part of a larger plan.

The only thing Bitmain would have to do to win back their customers' trust would be to improve their customer service, improve the quality of their manufacturing and keep their prices reasonable... right? This shouldn't be hard for a multi-billion dollar company to do. I assure you, there is no conspiracy occurring here (if that is what you are hinting at). I can tell you, no one is a puppet here.

There is far more at play here than is currently understood. Obviously there has not much of anything revealed at this point, and I respect the honest skepticism that some have expressed. If I were better at public relations, I would never have jumped on here and started making promises.

The only thing I can say right now is... if you really are uncomfortable sending $ to what appears to be scam, then just wait a few weeks.

Now this is a rough estimate, but Bitmain has around 70% of the mining equipment industry market share right now. They also own various mining pools out there (whether obvious or unknown).  A change needs to occur and this Halong project is that change.

There will be a steady stream of news coming soon. It’s ok not to buy right now. Actually, you can’t by right now. But the thing is, the demand is higher than all the suppliers put together can even handle. There will be no problem finding buyers.
1247  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: DragonMint 16TH/S halongmining.com on: December 27, 2017, 04:31:09 AM
I get it. I get it. "Who are you, who are so wise in the ways of science?"

Anyways... Halong is obviously not the best in the art of product pre-launch marketing and PR. You've definitely got that part right. It's difficult to orchestrate all the moving parts and people involved.
1248  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: DragonMint 16TH/S halongmining.com on: December 27, 2017, 01:24:00 AM
I will refrain from name calling and cursing. But, you dudes will be really embarrassed with all your naysaying.
1249  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: DragonMint 16TH/S halongmining.com on: December 27, 2017, 01:06:05 AM
Please just wait a couple more weeks. I promise very exciting news for the mining industry. Although the hashrate is only a few TH higher than the best on market offered by competitors  right now, there is a great surprise that hasn’t yet been revealed that will make all the waiting and angst worth the while. I know I’m just a noob here in this forum, but mark my words... you’ll shit your pants. An official announcement is coming soon. All your FUD will be but a distant memory and likewise, the biggest, most loved and hated manufacturer of miners currently on the market. All your FUD are belong to us! I’m not even telling you to go out and try to preorder right now. If you don’t believe, you won’t be first in line. And that’s ok.
1250  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: DragonMint 16TH/S halongmining.com on: December 26, 2017, 08:26:14 PM
Actually, this is the EXACT right forum for speculation. Did you look at where this thread is located??

Bitcoin Forum > Bitcoin > Mining > Mining speculation >

Also, NDAs are a very legitimate reason. I know it looks shady when there are no independent reviews out yet, but Elokk is right... the Halong project is backed by credible people in the Bitcoin industry. Give it some time and you’ll see.

Plus, what Ron1103 says is also true. Why would someone have a scam site up that doesn’t actually take preorders? The purpose of a scam is to make money. You can’t as easily scam people with a waitlist.
1251  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: DragonMint 16TH/S halongmining.com on: December 24, 2017, 06:12:00 PM
Promojo’s original tweet had an @ mention of Bitmaintech’s twitter handle in it. That was the only difference. I’m guessing he just reposted the tweet without the mention so as to keep the peace. That’s all.
1252  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: DragonMint 16TH/S halongmining.com on: December 22, 2017, 04:55:47 AM
We now have people from following companies telling they are very skeptical on the DragonMint:
Bitmain (Jihan Wu), BW.com (Virgilio Lizardo Jr.), Bitfury Group

Why would Jihan Wu have anything positive to say about a competitor’s product?

1253  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: DragonMint 16TH/S halongmining.com on: December 18, 2017, 10:13:42 PM
I have to say that this is not necessarily the full picture. For example, you also have to consider that the longer that certain sensitive information (like parts and supply chain) is out there, the longer the competition might have to formulate a game plan.

the quicker they get legit info out the longer they can sell..if they have had a demo for 3 weeks they have already lost lots of $$$

The arm in that photo definitely belongs to promojo.  While the image itself is not serious evidence of a fully functioning machine... you can at least be assured that a review is coming soon (as promojo has indicated).

That image can't be taken as a serious evidence.

Where is the picture, dude?

I can confirm that he is in no way related to Halong Mining.

Is he in any way partnered or related to Halong Mining?
1257  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: DragonMint 16TH/S halongmining.com on: December 18, 2017, 05:38:51 PM
Guys. Calm down. He's a busy guy. He'll post a review. Halong is not scamming anyone. They are simply taking pre-orders just like any other company just starting out.
1258  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: What can you mine with DragonMint? on: December 17, 2017, 01:42:51 AM
I'm sorry, I should have said,  "The DragonMint miner will be able to mine other coins that use SHA256. It will work with anything that is compatible with Bitcoin proof-of-work (POW)." There are units currently out for review and those results will be published online by reviewers very soon.

philipma1957, do you happen to know "the people behind it"?

Scott

you don't have any of them  and you won't have them any time soon.

I would tag you as a scammer  because as far as I am concerned the gear does not exist.

Since the  people behind it   are simply raking in coins  with zero proof of this gear working.

1259  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: What can you mine with DragonMint? on: December 17, 2017, 01:05:57 AM

The DragonMint miner can mine other coins that use SHA256. It works with anything that is compatible with Bitcoin proof-of-work (POW).
