Can we move the BTC from the linked adress already or should we wait until the distribution happened. As far as I understood it the balance in the adress at a certain block counts, but I rather be sure and ask.  Smiley

I would like to know the same thing. My bitcoin is kinda tied up in one place now and I would like to get back to trading Smiley

Better wait until Tony distributes the coins (because of bitcoin reorgs).

Ok, thanks. I'll wait then. Is distribution happening today?

snapshot was done on the first block on dec 25th so we can move out this block is snapshotted.

i want know same thing..because i already lost money during the night..sn&pshot is ok ? we can unlink btc pls ?

Let me share my view on the distribution model. I would offer the following:

The max. BTC balance limit per one linked BB address for the share calculation purpose should be set. All the addresses with BTC linked amount exceeding the limit are treated as if they had the max. limit, not more.
Example:
The limit is 200 BTC for the total BTC amount linked to one BB address. All the BB addresses that have more than 200 BTC linked to them are considered to hold 200 BTC for the share distribution calculation.

This step will be supported by the community majority I suppose.
I assume there are no many BTC holders owing more than the limit who created several BB accounts.

The above approach will create more uniform BB distribution without unnecessary centralization at the early stages.

You can argue that some ICO fund holders promised to distribute their Bytes to their token holders. And with this approach they don't receive much.
If they receive the full Bytes amount with the current rules it will create unequal conditions for the regualr BTC holders and other token holders (Waves, for example).
Waves token holders could sell their tokens for BTC before the distribution and buy their tokens back after the distribution. And after that they would receive even more Bytes from the Waves team.
My question is: 'Why should regular BTC holders pay for the Waves token holders investment decisions?'

One of the distribution goals was to include ACTIVE users. The Waves example offers a PASSIVE distribution model.

Another argument for not giving many Bytes to the ICO fund holders: Why should Byteball finance and support its competitors?

Exchanges wallets can be included or excluded in manual mode depending on their will to distribute the Bytes to their users.

Current transition rate: 0.26045365 BTC/gigabyte

Try Blockr.io

wht is that ?..I search bbs blockchain not transac.

BBs on deep news https://www.deepdotweb.com/2016/11/28/byteball-make-dags-not-chains/  Cool

i dont understand when paper worker said.."Bytes are the standard form in which value exchanges hands and it’s also used to pay the transaction fees, which are charged by the network on a one-to-one scale, meaning that if a transaction contains 2000 bytes of data, the sender will be required to pay 2000 Bytes (2 KBytes) for said transaction"

if i spend 10 000 bbs will pay 10 000 tax of fees  Huh Shocked

Anyone else getting a "Uncaught exception: Error: missing or empty parent units array" message?

Pops up after a few seconds and then closes the App.

It was working fine earlier.

Don't worry, your linked addresses are still safe!

Watch out for the new wallet release v1.0.0 here, which fixes this error:

Everybody who has concerns about downloading unknown software is damn right!

These concerns are valid and you should proceed with due diligence. I recommend to not install any piece of software which you don't trust on your work pc. Install it on an unused computer instead or use a virtual machine (virtual box from oracle is free), then your safe. A check for viruses with virustotal.com is also a good idea.

The Byteball wallet is open source software, so it's integrity can be proven quite simply. The wallet will gain trust over time. The more users download and run this wallet without issues, the more trust it will gain. It must be several hundreds now, a lot of legendary btt members among them, who know the usual altcoin scam. And the real identity of the developer is known and we've already seen his face in a video. IMHO we're pretty safe with this software!

It's not the wallet as such, it's the bot. When you click on the link to the bot you authorise external software to run and this is in addition to the wallet itself.

yu can use androïd wallet to link yur btc if yu have feer..it is similar pc wallet  Wink

domage pour moi cette hausse je l'attendai en janvier voir fevrier..mais j'en rassure certains le cour devrait être le double de celui ci..donc wait and see  Wink

I installed the new livenet wallet.
How do I back up? it says the seed is not enough.

yu must paired another wallet (mulisig)..andro or pc/mac..and your bbs be linked at 2 wallet..so that if 1 of 2 crash your bbs will be saved.

I think my proposal is bulletproof.

Not really my friend. Who decided small breasts are a disadvantage? If we exclude sailors, which anyway make a minority in crypto world, I am sure most smart and sophisticated people would prefer small breasts. So I say, less points for small breasts!  Grin

Now go back to the drawing table and invent an even fairer distribution of nascent anarcho-capitalist currencies. ( LOL! )

Seriously, asking for ultimate fairness in a system fundamentally based on scarcity is beyond discussion.

Good point, lets revise my proposal then. Breast distribution of 20% starts with the smallest stake going to the perfect breasts (two large ripe perky mangoes), stake gets proportionately larger as claimants breasts deviate from the 'ideal' pair, both larger and smaller, I like it!

In all seriousness, PoW is the best method, but just too wasteful. If you're going to give away coins with possible future value there has to be something of value given in return. It'd be great if the value wasn't restricted to $$ only, as that opens up the distro to the widest possible numbers, but free coins don't work (too easy to game, too much dumping, no community), and ICO's smell bad and attract scammers. Airdropping on BTC holders will 'work', but one day some smart people will devise a really good method of proof of XXXXX that attracts a lot of people, isn't easily gamed, and appears open and reasonably fair. The distro method is really important, but it's still not a priority for coders who lead most projects. The best method for Airdropping hasn't been worked out yet.

no POW isn't best method of distrib for many reasons already cited..do yu know  POC (proof of capacity) ? which is more equiatble profitable and useful. Wink

Alice -> Charlie -> Dan -> Dave -> David -> Carlos -> Alice -> Bob

Tous les participants ont réglés leur dette et seule la transaction finale sera inscrite :

Alice -> Bob

tres juste..une side chaine c'est en somme le principe d'un e-wallet comme paypal ou autres..tu re-passe par le réseau traditionnel qu'en fin de parcour.
