1  Economy / Gambling / Re: SwCpoker.eu | No Banking, Only Bitcoin | Bitcoin Poker 2.0 LIVE NOW! on: March 11, 2017, 07:57:58 PM
What use is then krill to me? I am serious, what can i use these points for or are they really just like a bar in any video game that do not mean anything.

Krill is valuable at every level:
- If you are a mid stake or high stakes cash player, Krill Rakeback is your best value.
- (Table Starter 50% Rakeback is an even bigger value, but that is active for all players regardless of Krill)

If you are a low limit player, KrillRolls are your best value:
- Today, if you have 1000+ Krill, we offer a 25 chip KrillRoll.
- Tomorrow, if you have 2500+ Krill, we offer a 50 chip KrillRoll.
- If you do not have that much Krill, Monday offers you a 3 chip KrillRoll only requiring 10+ Krill. Tuesday offers a 5 chip requiring 50+ Krill. As the week goes forward the KrillRolls get more valuable and require more Krill to enter.

The Krill program may offer other incentives in the future as it has in the past. Site traffic dictates what we can offer back to our players. Resources have been deployed to greatly improve the platform. We intend to expand the Krill program in the future to make it even more rewarding to players as the site grows.

I believe you are wrong. Krills has currently almost no value and there is no reason believe that will change anytime soon.
There is really no incentive for players to play except for a few who has a chance in Krillrace

Why don't you reward players who actually playing on SWC now? I would really like to know.

This is my post from 2 years ago. I believe I was correct that time.
 https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=962440.msg10767975#msg10767975

The whole krill system is design reward legacy players, but there is nothing for players who generate rake for SWC now.
If you implement something like I suggested 2 years ago you may be surprised  how responsive payers can be.

SWC need new players and to keep them you need to give them something to look forward.

Am I the only one who finds it odd that someone who works for the site is allowed to play real money games on there?  What are his access rights?  Because if he's able to see full hand histories (the kind that any back-end personnel would have access to, for game security purposes) he has a MASSIVE unfair advantage over every real money player on the site.

You understand that if he cheated, he wouldn't play under his known user name right?

Any thoughts on new promotions?  Doesn't seem like this site is increasing traffic at all, even though they are they only US facing site that you can play mixed games on...

What new promotions?
4  Economy / Gambling / Re: SwCpoker.eu | No Banking, Only Bitcoin | Bitcoin Poker 2.0 LIVE NOW! on: July 12, 2016, 08:03:00 PM
Our entire promotional strategy/schedule is being evaluated. Again, we don't have a definitive timeline. But we are hoping that Krillrolls will return as a regular benefit for the players.

Would you consider something like I propose year ago here?
 https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=962440.msg10767975#msg10767975

The point is to encourage  recreational players. Those are mostly players who loosing money.

I have always thought lluboski always makes good suggestions.

BTW here is Micon's response to the linked post.

kind of like the idea of a weekly & monthly krill-roll(s), something where you must earn X krill within the week/month.

also must keep the legacy krill-rolls in some fashion.

Lots to consider, and likely at least 1 month away before rolling them out.

TY Micon  Smiley

Again the point being getting players to both login and play on a daily/regular basis.

yea thats a good idea, I've also suggested doing some sort of individual weekly krill "goals" so earning X amount of krill will get you Y amount of chips. that way low stakes players who put a lot of volume in can be rewarded as well.

The idea behind weekly krill-rolls at that time was that SWC as a new site needed encourage players from old Seals to play on SWC.
Nobody would really blame them for changing Krill-rolls requirements at that time. It was good time to introduce the change without risk.
I am fairly certain if SWC would introduced for example 1BTC weekly for anyone who earn 200 krill for the week then, SWC traffic would be much
better now ( it would cost them nothing, they paid out the Bitcoins anyway).

Situation is different now. Old Seals players are gone and SWC don't have too many coins to spend for promotions.
I still think SWC need to do something, maybe 500 chips weekly krill-roll for anyone who earn 100-200 krill for the week?
SWC can announce special promo for 2 month, reevaluate and choose to continue with the promotion or not.
It would cost 4 Bitcoins. Hopefully they can still afford it. Players would be happy they got something and SWC will find out if they can increase
ring game traffic that way. If work as intended net cost for SWC should decrease over time. For example 1st week qualifies 30 players,
2nd week 40, 3rd week 50,etc.

What you suggest is a rake-back. For that to have any impact, SWC would have to pay players to play. I know the krill roll is essentially
the same thing, but for some reason I thing it's more acceptable and interesting.

It wold be nice to have SWC opinion.

With 189 players connected, SwC Poker is currently a bit smaller than Seals was.

Blame it on the windoze Smiley

anyway, when we build out our platform and fix our bugs, these games will fill up.

Remember table starter rakeback is on for all games, 6max+.  Playing 2 or 3 handed gets you auto-50% rakeback, so that is a proper incentive to help me start some games until we have all clients & the affiliate program.

I respectfully disagree. I do start tables and so does "whodisis" but there is not much interest from others players to join. if we can get going one table for the particullar stakes,it's a good result and it will fell apart usually within hour.

189 players is about 1/2 of the players that played on old Seals, but the number of players on ring games is not even close 1/2 old Seals cash games players.
Aso I don't think windoze only is responsible for so big drop.
If you reinstate old krillrolls, I bet most of the players who played them on old Seals will come play the krillroll and then go back where the action is. (not on SWC)
The result will be SWC slowly bleed bitcoin reserves, because SWC will not collect enough rake.

I believe "whodisis" has a valid point and you should give his idea serious consideration. Try it for a month and see what happen. I am not suggesting
krill race, just something like 1 weekly krillroll for anybody who collect 100 or 200 krill for the time period.

I know your main focus is still on a software, but give it some thought.

It seems I was right.

10  Economy / Gambling / Re: SwCpoker.eu | No Banking, Only Bitcoin | Bitcoin Poker 2.0 LIVE NOW! on: May 18, 2015, 02:02:13 AM
It is sad for me to see SWC in a current state.

When I started to play on Seals, more that 2 years ago, the software was barely playable. We played anyway because Seals was unique idea, management was engage,
they fought for every player,Mikon played every day with us,did his bathrobe videos,we had  krillrols etc.

It is different now.
This site looks like old tired seal waiting to be eaten.

SWC need players in all stakes. Rake race is not the answer.
This would be more appropriate in my opinion.

I don't understand why there is no non turbo MTT after 8pm EST, that's peak hours on SWC.

11  Economy / Gambling / Re: SwCpoker.eu | No Banking, Only Bitcoin | Bitcoin Poker 2.0 LIVE NOW! on: March 22, 2015, 02:19:30 AM
Thanks for the encouragement guys, most of the bitcoin community has been well supportive of SwC and myself in general.  It's a shame to see a small part of the community acting illegally opportunistic and trying to capitalize on my short term pain.  It's worth saying again that the vast majority have been extremely supportive to me and SwC since Seals closed.

I was prepared to pay him ~4 coins to be done with it clean and easy, even if I don't like the way he does business.  Money and time are valuable, so I was willing to part with the minimum of each to solve the issue.  Having demanded more than 100 coins seems crazy to me.  I'll never allow an affiliate on that domain, and using it for a competitor seems like exactly the type of behavior that ICANN is trying to avoid.  I'll unfortunately be going the ICANN route, any tips or tricks would be helpful, although it looks straight forward.

Honestly, I don't understand why is it such a headache for you. If I search for SwCpoker , only SwCpoker.eu is the result. I don't see how he can cost real
damage to SwCpoker.eu. I don't think he has anything valuable to sell to you or your competition . There is a reason why SwC register domain as .eu.
and likely never care about .com.

Evan if he manage to point some players to your competition they will likely find out about real SwC soon. So my advice is, focus on your job and make SwC
THE bitcoin poker site again.

I was subject twice to extortion attempt about 20 years ago, and both times worked for me to ignore them. It's a mistake show any interest, as long
you communicate with him he has a chance for payout. One thing is to make threat to do something and other is actually spend time and money to do it.
Anyway it's your business and ultimately your decision.

We had similar conversation few month ago. You was considering make the legacy Krillrolls smaller or less frequent
and use the saved chips for monthly or weekly krillrolls, if I remember correctly.

If you decide to go with it, please try to keep the bar low. The idea is to make recreational players play more.
If the requirement to qualify for weekly freeroll will be to collect 500 krill for the week like I see someone suggest,
most players will not even try and you will end up with few regs beating each other.

I don't think that lottery like incentives (great hand reward, etc) make players play more.

As you said you have lots to consider. Not easy job.   Smiley

a few plyers, me included, agree that the breaks on freerolls are not necessary - would you consider removing them?
Why the breaks bother you? Some people like go to the bathroom or a smoke a cigarette.

I didn't see any post from Ender (bet). What happen with chips on bet?

if you browse: http://sealsdeals.info/
you may read the following message:

"Well, SealsDeals is gone indefinitely, naturally.

If and when Seals returns in a new form, it is a possibility we will return, but that's anyone's guess for the moment.

For now, if you think you had credit you'd like returned, please shoot me an IM on XMPP, or if you're not on there, submit a ticket with your Seals name and a BTC address, and I'll check and ship it out if applicable.

Thanks for your support over the years! I'll be around, and the XMPP server will be staying up at least through the end of March.

See you at the tables,
ender"

Thanks

So, multiple players in a same house will be permitted to play in the same tournament?

They were at sealswithclubs, as long as its a MTT, so I would assume it would remain the same.

It doesn't say MTT.
