Apologies in advance since I imagine this has been covered before. Basic simple question.
What temp range is safe to run the 1080ti at long term without seriously degrading the longevity of the GPU?
Got my e-bill today and it wasn't as bad as expected. So am going to push TDP up and get more hash - while also getting more heat.
It's a difficult question to answer. I suggest you watch Gamers Nexus latest Q&A video on youtube, he addresses this point specifically. The general understanding is, as long as your card is not temp throttling, you should be fine. What's most likely to pop are capacitors. They are rated between 5000 and 10000 hours usually. the capacitors on these cards are rated for 90 000 hours(10 years) @70c. According to Steve Burke at Gamers Nexus you're looking at 5000 or 10000 hours @ 105C. Not saying it is gospel, just parroting what he says. Video is here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3WWfj7RF_z8&t=874sFor everyone's benefit and enjoyment... Are there really people running their GPU's at 105C? I dont believe so, to much throttle to run it at that temp

While XZC is still profitable for me and maybe has a future, I started with BWK today to see if it's any good. Should make 2x XZC profits (higher power usage though). Was getting 0.9~ XZC per day in december now just 0.5, this new diff really sucks =/
Jkcrypto has some awesome posts on this, really good updated info for us with 1080 ti!
Were u able to run the miner he posted? Mine crashes with an windows error. If not, Which miner are u using?

i have 100's in the attick shrinkwrapped per unit and labeled.
labeld how? I also thought of this but it can become hard when u had loads of gpu's I have all my miners numbers (as should you) so miner 100 (mb box, ps box, 7 video cards boxes and shrink wrap) then on the outside of the shrink wrap with a giant sharpie write 100. Now you know that is all the stuff for miner 100 thanks mate

Spend some of that 10K educating yourself. I'll give you a free lesson though.
Lesson 1: Learn how to not ask retarded questions.
Now that is a bit harsh. Newcomer, you are going to have to build your own rig but I think you should absolutely do it. Invest the $10k into buying about 16x GTX 1070 Ti's and make two rigs with it. On Youtube, there is a good channel you can use as a valuable resource, Bits' B Trippin. He posted a cradle to grave video about 8 months ago. Search for it and make your own rigs. it's not that difficult and its sort of fun. You will need Windows 10 if you are to use more than 6 GPU's. I suggested 8 GPU's each rig so... Windows 10 it is. Good luck! Its not harsh at all. This question gets asked atleast once every day ~ people should atleast TRY to look for an answer. It does not look like this individual has brains enough to do so, therefore its better he shoves his 10 grand up his arse

XZC is hit on MPH now that everyone has jumped on board. That and the 20K+ difficulty has halved my daily take. Looking for other options .....
Nemo/ahashpool. Look no further. And mph is giving some people hard time mining xzc, while others seem to be doing just fine hashrate wise. 1) Yes use nemo and ahash if you want to work for food. Nicehash slavery is also an option 2) It was explained many times. Those who are doing fine with MPH are using correct miner. What a bad response your "1)" is. Work for food? What does that even mean? Anyways, use sniff/nemo, both are doing great on ahash.

Hey, I doubt im the only one running 1070 ti and 1080 ti in the same rig. Did anyone experience issues with this mix? If so, whats missing? Drivers? Going to run some tests soon if I dont get any reply ~ will update the thread EDIT: Tried switching the usb riser cable ~ now all showed up except one 1070Ti. Shut off the computer and changed the PCIe link speed to auto and it now works flawlessly

Do you guys buy your GPU's from shops which accept bitcoins or any altcoin? If so, please do share some stores with this available, I wanna buy some 1080ti's..
Thanks in advance
Feel free to buy from NewEgg or Amazon. The last need third-party integration service https://purse.io. Work good for me, but please do not assume that it is bulletproof. Thanks for the replys ~ do u know if purse ships internationally? I didnt know amazon accepted btc.. EDIT: purse.io does not ship internationally, but offers a service for it ~ this means that there will be many fees attached.
