As plane is flying and there is no more issue, this list is only to help BITMAIN how many people was affected.
Please do not count for anything from BITMAIN as originally issue wasn't his fault.
I think that IF he will issue coupons to affected people we should treat that as BONUS and not as "reimbursement".

BITMAIN thanks for hard work and once new sale will start i will make another order.

You missed me, mines on there as well.
202  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: BITMAIN Antminer support and OverClocking thread on: January 26, 2014, 11:21:32 AM
Sorry guys for the late response
...
Which made a instant cooldown from 45 C to 29 C
....
Before someone says its your psu .... i am sure its a very good one, it has feeded 3 x 7970 @ 1100 Mhz at litecoin mining with ease.
This NZXT hale 90 - 80+ Gold - 1000 watt, is not even start its fan to cool because its cold as ice.
(added test connected my enermax 1350 watt and same results)

Ofcourse the winter temps here to be near freezing and at some moments below -2 C help as well

[LAZY MODE] ON
How can i get the stats of the antminers onto a monitoring program like bamt had or something similar
And can scp be installed on these, so i can winscp into them from work as well Cheesy
[LAZY MODE] OFF

What is the watts at the wall when running the fans at 100%?

scp is already part of openwrt, I use it to copy files between ants all the time.

The unfortunate thing is we are in the UK and worldwide payment methods are far and few between.
Our bank cannot accept wire transfers outside of the UK and PayPal seems to be our only option at the moment.

LOOOL at bank wich cant accept international wire

Lol, the was at the forefront of international wire transfers even the first when it was performed over telegraph. All banks in the UK have to have the ability to perform a SWIFT transfer.
204  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [Overclock the Antminer S1 to 200GH/s] The EASY way! on: January 26, 2014, 10:36:34 AM
*****  This doesn't work with earlier versions of the Antminer S1.  Check your asic-freq first if you have the older version Antminer S1.  Ask here or pm me on how to check.  *****

Here's an easy way to oc the Antminer S1.  Disclaimers: I'm not responsible for any damages that may result from following these instructions.  This will void the Antminer S1 3-month warranty.   Cheesy

If you want to see a youtube video on how it works; here it is:  How to Overclock the Antminer S1 bitcoin miner [the EASY way]

  • 1.  ssh to your Antminer  (i.e. ssh root@192.168.1.111)
  • 2.  copy and paste everything inside the code box
Code:
clear
cd /etc/config
mv asic-freq asic-freq.BitmaintechFactoryVersion
wget -O asic-freq http://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/s/u8thhaxuksnhlw0/asic-freq.400MHz
wget -O asic-freq.375MHz http://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/s/9yuq14py6sou2w3/asic-freq.375MHz
wget -O asic-freq.350MHz http://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/s/o8590pne9clm348/asic-freq.350MHz
chmod 664 asic-freq
chmod 664 asic-freq.3*
ls -la asic-freq*

  • 3. reboot the Ant

Let me know if you have any questions or wish to switch between ASIC speeds (i.e. 180GH/s is 350MHz, ~190GH/s is 375MHz).

  -jeremy

The dropbox idea is a good un  Wink I like the approach you have used, I have been scp'ing files between ant's instead.

A couple of comments if I may. You might want to change the mv to a cp in case of a problems such as a power outage because then an asic-freq will always exist regardless and the wget with an -O should clobber the original. The last three lines can also be removed as the wget will put the file with workable permissions. Personally I would just add a reboot command to the script but that may freak a few noob users.
205  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [Guide] Dogie's Comprehensive Bitmain AntMiner S1 Setup on: January 26, 2014, 10:17:28 AM
The 16 asics were showing without overclocking but it was still hitting 176 ghs.

The lack of ASIC's showing is a PSU rather than heat problem, your PSU is not producing enough amps.
206  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [Setup & Troubleshoot] Bitmain AntMiner S1 180GH/S miner on: January 26, 2014, 10:13:07 AM
All my 3 Antminers (december batch with PCI-E connectors Bitmaintech V1.2 2013/12/4) claim that network cable is unplugged. I tried to reset them, used different IP conf. connected to router.
Does it need crossed over cable?
Network seems to try to identify itself after power on but then goes back to network cable unplugged. Cables checked with cable tester.
I see R24 PWR red diode blinking and C31 green diode blinking

RESOLVED: it was a PSU issue. Clearly Deus G1 600W 80BR doesn't work with Antminer.
Right now I'm powering up 3 Antminers with one Thermaltake 1400W.

Not surprised it is a double rail PSU that only produces a max of 24A per rail and from the looks of the design the 2 PCIe cables are from the same rail.
207  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [Setup & Troubleshoot] Bitmain AntMiner S1 180GH/S miner on: January 26, 2014, 10:07:46 AM

Good Evening All.

Are these HW errors deemed as acceptable? Running at 400mhz. Need to reign it in a little?

HW - 3,678

DiffA - 183,808

DiffR - 640

DiffS - 0

Thanks for the feedback!

The formula is HW / (HW + DiffA + Diffr + DiffS) = %   (I learned this from a poster here)

A little bit on the high side...   1.95%+   How long has it been running?  Try to make sure you have a good PSU and the Ant is not getting too hot.  Good luck.  I would say anything over 2.15%, I would go to 375MHz and give up 10GH/s performance.

If you have the Ant overclocked then your HW rate is good, if it is a 350Mhz then take a look at your PSU and connections.
208  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: CGminer repeats "stratum from pool 0 detected new block" on: January 25, 2014, 05:54:38 PM
I added it at the end. Now in my dashboard I have the Hash's shown.

But its very slow, isnt it?

Increase your intensity to 16

Press 'G' 'I' and follow the rest of the prompts

Yeah, that helped pretty good.
I changed the intensity in the cgminer.conf to 16 instead of "d" and the Hashrate raise up to 300 khs.
After changing, the computer was very laggy, but it worked.

Are there other options too raise the hashrate and maybe stabilize the system?

thanks so far

There are only three cgminer parameters that really affect scrypt performance --thread-concurrency --gpu-memclock and --gpu-engine have a read through the Overclocking section in the GPU-README that is in the download of CGMINER because there are plenty of other things to think about such as cooling.

209  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Who has Antminers stuck in Mumbai? on: January 25, 2014, 05:43:20 PM
Bitmain is not responsible for this situation, unless they bought the whole UPS secretly... It's the courier's fault and fixing a plane can take ages since one loose screw can cause deaths. I'm sure UPS is hoping to get it fixed ASAP because the plane doesn't only carry miners. That ups plane has loads of other customers' parcels delay.

E-mailing bitmain is a viable way to get an answer, but only if UPS told them. Complaining bitmain doesn't make the situation goes better, moreover, it's not bit main's fault.

If you want to complain, complain UPS's policy. Im sure bitmain is getting spammed by loads of pm (including me Cheesy ).

The reason why people are worried, is that its not UPS's policy to hold goods on the ground in a broken aircraft, they have standby aircraft to resolve this sort of issue pronto. In any normal situation they should have offloaded the shipments from the broken plane onto a new plane by now and it should have been airborne and on its way two days ago.

Your assumption is that the aircraft is available and in Mumbai, the spare aircraft could be in the US and take 24 hours to get to Mumbai. There is also a weekend in the way and the ground crew to move the packages may not be available. Logistics is not as simple 'as there is a spare'.
210  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [Antminer S1 open for sale again] The last round before the Chinese New Year on: January 25, 2014, 05:12:03 PM
After fail in a price negotiation with Bitmain, someone here starts to troll.  It is sad that he cannot stop our customers keep buying Antminer and getting their investment back, and cannot push up the difficulty by his worthless words.

And his "big thing" in the thin air will just not push the difficulty up as easy as he trolls. Bitmain does big things in mining industry, and we know it is not easy to make it so big.

Last hours of sales before Chinese New Year.

Can't stop the trolls unfortunately, they are either angry, frustrated or paid by other companies to try and derail the competitors thread. Sad

My miner is stuck in Mumbai, not your fault, and appreciate the offer of a coupon, any chance we could get them on our account in time to order another miner?

My shipment is stuck with yours and agree with the sentiment in your post. The UPS delay is not Bitmain's fault but the trolls and selfish idiots have their pitchforks out to cause trouble.
211  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Who has Antminers stuck in Mumbai? on: January 25, 2014, 04:32:24 PM
As I said on the other thread.....most people are just selfish and can only think of now....not tomorrow.

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=417159.msg4731812#msg4731812

Yes...lets all get together and piss off the people from UPS....you know the ones that act as the agents for Customs and have the power to look at the real value of the package.

"Oh yes, so you lost 0.1BTC. Well we just opened one of those boxes up and checked the real price on the web site. So not $120 dollars then...now just what value should I put on this Customs VAT charge...20% of what number...."
212  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [Antminer S1 open for sale again] The last round before the Chinese New Year on: January 25, 2014, 04:30:24 PM
I've started a poll to get an idea about the numbers affected by MIA miners.
Please vote for the number of units you are waiting on. 1,2,3,4 or 5+

Everybody affected by this delay by UPS has valid reasons to be concerned. These units are extremely time sensitive and late delivery could mean the difference between ROI and losing money.

I have 2 stuck on the mumbai plane.

But PLEASE can people stop ringing UPS, they won't get here any quicker and the more phone calls they get the more suspicious they will become about these consignments

You wasting your time Tigggger.....they are all so selfish they can only think of now....

Why are we still bumping this thread and asking if it's legit or not. A look at the website should tell you it's a scam immediately.  We are not in the bfl/avalon era anymore. Time to wake up people...

Clearly it is not legit.  Unlike the live UnicronHasher which was featured on the cover of Bloomberg's businessweek magazine....

I hope my preorder went through for that.

Hopefully your pre-order was for a subscription to Bloomberg's businessweek magazine because if it was either of the former you might be disappointed  Grin

It was for the unicornhasher, hence the subquote. Duh.

It was a sarcastic comment, hence the smiley, Duh.
215  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [Antminer S1 open for sale again] The last round before the Chinese New Year on: January 24, 2014, 05:08:24 PM
This is what mine says

...

Same as mine, cleared before transit in China, Cypers shipment was in transit before it was cleared.

Is that a good or a bad thing?

To you it is a good thing as it means that you shipment is fully in the system and you are unlikely to have to pay more VAT than expected.

To me it is also a good thing as my VAT bill will also be low and I do not have to go hunting the f%^ktard that has wound up UPS by asking 'Is it here yet' like a kid in a car on a long journey.

A question for those in the UK, has anyone had a call from UPS about the value of an Antminer without calling them calling UPS first?

Yes me. Check my last 5-6 posts in this topic, which are precisely about this.
Got an email to confirm the value and was told I can pay over the phone later this evening or directly to the courier during delivery on Monday.

I understand you got one Cyper, I was really asking who else got a call because the shipment is in Mumbai and would not have gone through physical clearance in Castle Donnington so I am confused as to why you got singled out for such a call.

His probably isn't in Mumbai, think it shipped earlier than that one.

Actually just checked and it is:

The email I received after my phone call from UPS is from sdeаrden@ups.cоm and it starts like that:

Quote
This e-mail is frоm UPS Brоkerage at East Midlands Airpоrt. We are respоnsible fоr cоmpleting UK Impоrt Custоms fоrmalities оn yоur behalf fоr UPS shipments. We are cоntacting yоu because we need mоre infоrmatiоn frоm yоu in оrder tо cоmplete Impоrt Custоms fоrmalities оn a current shipment.

Now I understand, your package was not cleared before it left Shenzhen, China. There would be concern or suspicion that it was added to the shipment at Bangkok, a common place for drugs to surface.

After the password entry, all the parameters and options are in the cgminer readme if you get stuck.

Cyper said that his was ordered on the 21st https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=417159.msg4709605#msg4709605, that was the same as my order date so I would be surprised if it shipped earlier.

EDIT: As my order is stuck with others in Mumbai
