61  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][HitBTC Live]PECULIUM - First Saving System in Crypto Driven by AI on: March 01, 2018, 01:05:17 PM
After hitbtc Are there any other exchange in progress? Peculium has great potential and I hope to see it on all the major exchanges. Peculium hold forever

NextExchange said they will list us on march 1!

Besides that we have ongoing negotiations with all major exchanges! Wink

Now this is great news!

I just wanna ask one question
Is there any possibility that pcl can ever get to 1 dollar per token
In the future?
No matter how long it takes

All things are possible.  I would shoot lower for now though.  We still need to see a working product.
62  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN]🔵🔵 OYSTER 🔵🔵 Anonymous Storage Generates Revenue for Websites on: March 01, 2018, 01:01:57 PM
Remember that even the medium article posted above said to have your tokens on an ERC20 compatible wallet.  They do not mention any exchanges participating at all.

PRL is relatively stable atm.  I can't begin to imagine what will happen with today's burn at 12:00EST.  I can only hope to see it go up a bit and then remain stable.  This project is novel and its use will become apparent with the Mainnet release in April.  The Testnet B will likely have little effect on the current market price considering there is little to no social media push atm.

wallet?  where can you mine and trade?

Premined.  There are some people trading it on EtherDelta.  Trade with caution there.
64  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: [XRP] Ripple Speculation on: March 01, 2018, 12:54:17 PM
Ripple is going crazy, the price is now $0.9 I believe Ripple will be $5 in 2018. Ripple is under controlled of whales, need to be careful.

$0,904583 USD (-4,57%)
0,00008774 BTC (-1,10%)

do you have a reason that you are believe of Ripple will be increase $5 in this year?
the longterm investment of ripple is great, I am not sure it will be increase $5 in this years. maybe 2-3 years later.

It's reasonable to see it go to $3 by the end of the year given the adoption by multiple platforms to include Western Union as a currency medium.  I cannot begin to know why he thinks it will be $5.  There are people shilling $10-20  Roll Eyes

Tomorrow another token burning is going to take place. Supply is becoming lesser and lesser and demand will increase after mainNet goes live. It think by the evening today the second testNet is also being kicked off with new features. Don't forget April is approaching fast for mainet and plus airdrop to qualify.

You mention an airdrop coming up? I cannot find this info anywhere whats your source?
It was an airdrop for SHL which is part of PRL. It's been months since they announce about it. You just gotta need to be holding PRL. KuCoin will support the airdrop of SHL.

That is not yet confirmed.  Be careful of saying things that may not be the case and cost people SHL tokens.  The only surefire way of getting the SHL airdrop is to have your PRL on a ERC20 wallet like MEW/ledger/trezor/etc.
66  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: [PRL] Oyster Pearl predictions on: February 28, 2018, 08:10:16 PM
Is the steady growth due to the AirDrop? I was blown away to see this coin hit $5 before the correction.

Does PRL have a Discord?

Testnet B = end of February
10 Million token burn = 1. March
Airdrop = 6. April
Mainnet = April

There are many reason for Oysters price increase, its a combination of all of them.

& I guess I heard of a discord, but I dont remember the link. I would recommed to use Telegram, thats the place where the dev team posts announcements first.

Any news on the Testnet B dropping?
67  Other / Meta / Re: Merit & new rank requirements on: February 28, 2018, 03:04:57 PM
Merit farmers will create a few thousand sockpuppet accounts, create multiple spam with each sockpuppet account, and then use their main account to report all their own sockpuppet spam.  Voila, instant 1000 merit.
Amazing ideas about how to beg for merits, Sir. I know you are simply trolling, but this one will never happen (1000 merits immediately  Roll Eyes)

I didn't ever think I would see Danny Hamilton called a "troll" in this forum. Danny is one of the most helpful and well informed posters here.

Lob cmt - you need to get away from the bounty scamming boards, and visit the more serious Bitcoin boards. I put you on ignore for your comment about Danny.

Can you really trust someone with the Tardis as an avatar? Dr. Who fans are taking over the world and it kind of scares me. LOL

He’s right though, any activity assigned to receiving merit, other than post quality, opens the system up to being gamed.

Now I'm sorry that I brought this up!

Now...with that Dr. Who comment.  I'm a Dr. Who fan and have converted many to their fanbase.  Hmm, you might be on to something  Tongue
68  Other / Meta / Re: Merit & new rank requirements on: February 28, 2018, 01:24:18 PM
if you have, say, better than 90% accuracy in reporting spam or rules violations then you will receive a merit for each new report submitted (as long as it is accurate, of course).

Merit farmers will create a few thousand sockpuppet accounts, create multiple spam with each sockpuppet account, and then use their main account to report all their own sockpuppet spam.  Voila, instant 1000 merit.

Well of course NOW they will do this if it's implemented.   Tongue  I said myself that this may or may not be a good idea.
69  Other / Meta / Re: Merit & new rank requirements on: February 28, 2018, 12:32:03 PM
What do you think of providing merit to those who correctly report spam/shill posts that serve no purpose?  I think this may end up helping the forum as a whole in the long run and could give some low levels a source of merit.  Of course, there is the risk of possibly over-reporting which would lead to mods opposing this as people are just reporting to try to get merit.

I may have talked myself out of it, but I'm interested to see what others have to say about it.
70  Other / Meta / Re: Merit & new rank requirements on: February 27, 2018, 03:20:22 PM
I would not be so quick to say such a thing.  I have seen countless Sr. Member, Hero, Legendary accounts that do not have any additional merit.  Honestly, I think it has to do with the fact that somebody might think that 'they don't need it and so I don't need to give it to them.'

Next time you see one of those accounts have a quick look at their post history and you will soon work out the real reasons why they haven't received any merit. Most of them are simply posting in spam megathreads and nobody is ever going to read one of their posts let alone give it merit.

Well, of course that could be the case too.  I will do as you say though and look at their posts.  Thanks for providing an opposing argument.
71  Other / Meta / Re: Merit & new rank requirements on: February 27, 2018, 03:00:48 PM
I checked on your link.  The only people with “substantial merit” replying on that thread after your are a Sr. Member who (still!) has exactly 250 merits, and a Full Member who (still!) has exactly 100 merits.  Those are their grandfathered merits; meaning that one month into the merit system, they have earned zero.  Those are users who clearly do not deserve their current ranks; at least, they will not rank up any further.

I would not be so quick to say such a thing.  I have seen countless Sr. Member, Hero, Legendary accounts that do not have any additional merit.  Honestly, I think it has to do with the fact that somebody might think that 'they don't need it and so I don't need to give it to them.'

The system is still being adopted and it will take a long time to spread the word.  I am sure there are still multiple high-level accounts who don't even know what the merit system is!  I appreciate reading all of your posts on this and other threads regarding it.  Your voice has been heard loud and clear and your merit shows it.  However, you are likely in the 0.001% of people who receive merit regularly.  Keep up the good posts though Smiley
72  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN - ICO] PeerAtlas: Improve life by making all medical information free on: February 27, 2018, 02:50:51 PM
Good to make that free idea  and I like token share  but how will atlas token help to project make that free? Whats the role of this token on project? And I think  if medical information means medical card of each customer then the I think security also matters. Coz those info should be private

This is a project for a free large-scale medical encyclopedia.  This has nothing to do with medical card for each customer.  Perhaps you are thinking of Medibloc or Medicalchain?  The data from the patients to be used down the line would not actually have to have any PII to benefit the project.
73  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN - ICO] PeerAtlas: Improve life by making all medical information free on: February 27, 2018, 02:46:18 PM
To repeat myself, a contributor needs to be both correct, and trusted. In the real world these do not always overlap. People should feel a sense of relief when they use the encyclopedia. I'm being vague on specific degrees at this point because they need to fulfill these two requirements.

[and]

That's correct. Professionals send ATLAS to the foundation and then the foundation redeems CME hours that professionals have accumulated with their boards.

I'm glad you are considering other specialists.  Correct and trusted is also a little vague, but I would assume that the expert panel from the community would determine this.  I look forward to seeing how things will be implemented.

Now, you shed some more light on something regarding the CME hours in your statement.  You only get the ability to redeem CME for ATLAS IF you have contributed to the project and that article/algorithm/etc was deemed appropriate as above.  I was under the assumption that you would simply gain CME by browsing the encyclopedia similarly to UpToDate.  I understand this a lot better now and it makes perfect sense.

You may want to update that statement in the whitepaper  Wink

75  Other / Meta / Re: New Shill Accounts for Marinecoin on: February 27, 2018, 12:35:35 PM
I myself saw those spams, I mean you can't really ban people for opening new accounts and spamming on every corner sadly. Because even if you IP ban them, well there are a lot of ways to bypass that. At least we could have some bot that will check same posts done by the same people and thus auto ban them or something? Cuz every post I saw was basically copy paste from one to another and spam in the same thread so as you scroll to read comments you will see his advertisement.

You can find multiple spams in this theard: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2924717.msg30480110#msg30480110

The problem with automated bots are that they bring up a lot of false positives, and there's no easy way around this. Some bots are effective and I believe Mitchell was using a bot to deal with certain members. Just keep on reporting these accounts that are copying and pasting and they'll get dealt with.

Good point.  I imagine there is no easy answer and I will indeed continue to report the suspected accounts.

79  Other / Meta / New Shill Accounts for Marinecoin on: February 26, 2018, 03:33:21 PM
I sent a PM to the mod of the altcoin forum, but I imagine they likely get a ton of PMs and this would get more views from the masses.

I know I am not alone when I say that I am sick of the Brand New/Newbie accounts being created simply to post once or twice in various threads about Marinecoin.  It's always the same posts and there isn't much substance to them.

I have not done any research on Marinecoin, but I am fairly certain they are using some dirty tactics to self-promote.  This coin may not even be the only one doing this.  I just haven't noticed any others.

I dunno if the bots are being manually registered or they are somehow able to register themselves requiring a forum update.  Of course, it could just be the same person creating all of the accounts and posting it all manually.

I just wanted to get this message out there.

So I joined a signature campaign and they removed JR. Member bounties. Now I am having a problem on how to be a Member ranked. I just learned that I need 10 merits to have a member rank. So to any JR. Member here, let's do our best to make quality content so that someone will recognize our efforts in making our community better.

If anyone can provide a link to people giving merits after doing something good or productive please give link so I can earn merits not by asking people but because of my effort and for JR. Members to have a reference too.

Thank you so much. Have a nice day  Smiley

I'm in your boat too regarding the merit requirements.  It's going to take a long time to fully adopt.
