Day 36 comparison of payments with Genesis Mining and GAW Miners Hashlets.

Payments were as follows:
http://youtu.be/--xm6Xidt_w

Genesis Mining 10 GH/s contract 0.00011758 BTC
Gaw Miners Genesis Hashlet 15 GH/s  0.00012120 BTC

Genesis Mining 1 MH/s contract    0.00023378 BTC
GAW Waffle Hashlet                   0.00012797 BTC
GAW Zen Hashlet                         0.00018018 BTC

Nice comparison...
664  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: Bitmain - Prices are Ridiculous on: October 21, 2014, 02:00:03 AM
No, it was free. Now it's 100 dollars USD. The price of the actual unit has not dropped significantly. The reason they are charging for shipping is to try to force you onto their cloud. When you checkout now you can choose shipped or umisoo, defaulting to umisoo. Don't buy their cloud. Don't centralize this mechanism. Cool

Actually, its because of bitcoin price dropped a lot and they can no longer cover their price with it..
665  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: What is the 'best' coin to mine with CPUs? on: October 21, 2014, 01:58:19 AM

666  Other / Off-topic / Re: How do you earn money online? on: October 21, 2014, 01:57:39 AM
investments in altcoins , long term and short term Wink
I would not invest in alt-coins long term (anymore). Most alt-coins have no future, and the ones that actually are serious projects will probably not take bitcoins place.
(I'm not going to lie though, I've got some LTC!)

Same here, most alt-coins just die after awhile...

668  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: GAW Hashlet ROI Tracking on: October 21, 2014, 01:56:36 AM
10/18/14: I am now 126% ROI for my bitcoin invested in gaw's bitcoin miners (actually scrypt hashlets)!!!  My plan at this point is to now build my mining power with future profits Cheesy

That's great to hear! I'm not sure whether I'm going to re-invest more into these hashlets. Currently, I'm at 95% of my ROI. I haven't reached this percentage with any of my investments (which all obviously turned out to be bad investments), so I'm already really happy. I can take the profit now if I want and leave the market by selling the hashlets I own. This would make me some nice money when you look at how less I invested in Gaw Miners. However, I'm not sure about my plan yet.

Does anyone know how much your hashrate would be converted into if you switch an Antminer S3 into a hashlet?

It really depends on how much you can sell your antminer s3 for.

Got 1.33 Gh/s mining power so mostly for fun but still want to maximize my profit. Doing zetcoin right now, best choice?

Just mine bitcoin, best profit of all....

672  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Fixed NVIDIA GTX 970/980 bad XMR / X11 hashing performance on: October 19, 2014, 12:59:23 AM
625 hash on XMR. Using 67% tdp only

How much watt is 67%? Do you have a watt-o-meter?

I think he answered this in the OP. 105-110W's.

This is quite good I think. Better Hash per watt then my 280x's anyway :/

I wonder what the new AMD cards will bring.

If I understand correctly gtx 980 is using the old nm chip. So the benefit shouldn't be so much...
twice the hashrate of the 780ti on keccak.... yep not much

and the price is like triple...

Triple of 780ti?? I'd say roughly same unless you meant 750ti

Yes triple of 750ti. Do you think its worth buying 980?

I wasn't credited for my deposit. Still nothing. Spoke to SR support a little bit so far they are of no help. Kind of disappointing to be honest.

are you sure it wasn't a phishing website? I know there used to be a lot of them.

Yup, its really hard to detect phishing website, most of the time they look exactly the same.
679  Other / Off-topic / Re: need to stop gambling on: October 19, 2014, 12:40:39 AM
Why don't you invest your btc instead of gambling them? hmmm.. Might be a good idea.

Holding BTC is already gambling :---)

It is a gamble but i wouldnt call it gambling, to me you are gambling when you make -ev bets.  BTC investment is +ev dont you think?

if it's a gamble, then it is gambling

I don't get it. investment = gambling?
680  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: The "you cant kill Bitcoin argument" on: October 19, 2014, 12:39:34 AM
Surely you can....why suppose people always kill Bitcoin for profit?

I believe there is no profit if someone kill bitcoin. So the only one that would want to kill it is government.
