I believe yours Gtx 1060 are 3 Gb cards if your profit is destroyed. I have some of them too. They cannot really mine Ethereum effectively anymore in Windows 10 which is the best Windows platform for mining , they were performing well in Zcash otherwise. Until the army of Z9 mini and Z9 came to life in the end of July and now four such cards can make only 0.30 mBTC mining Zcash. That is nothing, it means those cards are not worthy anymore, you , me and everyone else should start selling them in Ebay before they become totally worthless. I mine with them just fine with hiveos |

What time you think the best time to let the 1060 3g go for gamers and leave the mining rigs, i have alot of that card and thinking of selling in the near future to upgrade , what do you think?
Well currently 1060 3gb are getting bids of about 120$ on ebay. At current prices, 1 10603gb wil make 58 cents a day, (22mh/s, 70 watts, 0.10$ kw/h). Thats 206 days of mining to equal what you can see on your card. Ethereum wont hit 3gb dag size until may 2019, so if nothing changes, Casper isn't implemented before then, and you stop mining with the cards now and sold them for $120, you would loose out on about 4-5 months of mining, or 60-70$. Again, this is all at current prices and difficulty and expecting Casper to not be implemented. Now if Casper is implemented, which no one can say when, you will mostly likely see a flood of cheap GPUs on ebay, Kijijji, whatever. You will also see all the other alt-coins get flooded with hashing power. No one knows which network will become the new home for 236 TH/s of power that is currently powering Ethereum network. Personally, I am going to stay in until the bitter end. Im willing to take the risk since most of my GPU's have paid themselves off. |
