11741  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: BITCOIN GROWTH FUND! on: May 16, 2017, 10:45:43 PM
What is this website and what are MCAP coins?

There is not one single legit website on this planet that can offer returns on Bitcoin. If there was it would  be swamped instantly. There are millions doing nothing. If a return could be found we'd know about it.
11742  Other / Politics & Society / Re: How To Avoid All Terrorists In Planes - Travel By Train - Easy And Simple on: May 16, 2017, 08:57:03 PM
The only way you can avoid travelling with terrorists is by car, but even then you yourself might turn into a jihadist if you have a funny turn in traffic. And that's forgetting about one of them driving a 44 ton truck into your face.
11743  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: This could be big: US Government considering accepting bitcoin payment on: May 16, 2017, 08:52:37 PM
This doesn't sound any promising or big. Apparently, they are looking for ways to start capturing users of bitcoin and when the time comes, they can easily nab whoever their target is and they want to use this strategy to achieve that.

So we're all going to end up in concentration camps? I do enjoy the persecution complex of Bitcoiners. It's very cute but a little heavy on the self importance.
11744  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: NEM (XEM) Official Thread - 100% New Code - Easy To Use APIs on: May 16, 2017, 07:08:13 PM
Pretty much. Unless you find an OTC deal. There are brokers out there who'll put you together with a buyer. There won't be any limits. It is indeed a ludicrous process via the usual routes.

If I had a substantial amount to cash out I wouldn't go anywhere near an exchange. They might freeze you and demand more documents, or just fall apart before you get all your money out.
11745  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: May 16, 2017, 06:08:02 PM

Well, if anything has to eat BTC's lunch it's going to be a far more nutritious meal for everyone if it's LTC rather some pathetic poocoin.

Maybe there should be some, like, negotiation going on by now.
11746  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: Xapo to stop paying miner fee on: May 16, 2017, 05:40:07 PM
Is there any web wallets that offer to pay the transaction fees,if so i would like to hear for you fellows.

Why would any web wallet pay their customers' costs? It would add up to thousands of dollars per week. That possibility is probably over forever now.
11747  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Stupid shitcoiners using Coinmarketcap BTC dominance stat to pump their shitcoin on: May 16, 2017, 05:09:18 PM
Ethereum is where Bitcoin was just 5 months ago.

How desperately unfortunate for Ethereum. Let us hope their moment in the sun lasts a little longer than that before they start squealing about market caps and shit.

Yes, here you're right 100%!!! That's why i have leaved NEM some years ago... nobody cares about

Erm, that's why no one should leave. Long term the only way is up as more and more people catch on.
11749  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Evolution is a hoax on: May 16, 2017, 02:18:59 PM
I wasn't there to see it so I won't worry about its validity.

What is interesting is what the future of evolution will look like. We've basically neutered natural selection now and in many societies the bottom feeders are the ones who are far outbreeding the prime meat.

I wonder what that entails for our future.
11750  Economy / Speculation / Re: How realistic are the $1M Bitcoin predictions? on: May 16, 2017, 02:08:38 PM
And how is the Government supposed to put taxes on BTC??

How does the government tax your business selling baked potatoes shaped like Michelle Pfeiffer for cash on street corners? You tell them. If you don't and they find out then bad things happen to you.

BTC also has the advantage of an easily traceable paper trail if you attempt to cash out in any form.
11751  Other / Politics & Society / Re: VOTE * Do you believe in "Intellectual Property" laws? on: May 16, 2017, 02:05:51 PM
I do.

It takes time and investment to create and those creators should be compensated. Certain ideas can't become reality without substantial backing. If that backing loses out then we're all the poorer for it.
11752  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Are altcoin price movements have some mathematical explanation? on: May 16, 2017, 01:49:57 PM
It's seems, that you just using other strategy to do trading, not choosing to do TA, but trying new coins and waiting for the big pump. Wink

Yes. It's far less hassle and all you have to do is wait. I don't think full time trading is good for anyone's mental health.

On r/bitcoinmarkets the trading obsessives often seem to crack eventually and walk away. One of the biggest sold everything at around $800 a few days before the price really started to rise.

So before you consider TA, how much control do you have over your own emotions? Will you be able to take profit at the right time? Will you know when to cut your losses?

Without that control everything else will be useless.
11753  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Hackers threaten to release stolen 'Pirates of the Caribbean 5' on: May 16, 2017, 01:47:26 PM
Just heard, also WD are saying they won't give in to the demands. If that's so I'll gladly torrent this one, even though I've never seen a single one of the franchise before. They whole industry needs to be thought a lesson. They've been insanely greedy and lazy the past decade.

If they spend several hundred million dollars creating something then they should really be rewarded for that. Unfashionable I know. I'm quite surprised the film industry is still holding up as well as it is.

Films like this can't be created out of thin air. If it did go the same way as the music business then all we'd have to watch would be youtube vloggers whining about their makeup issues.
11754  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Are altcoin price movements have some mathematical explanation? on: May 16, 2017, 01:37:14 PM
I just want to make right steps without wasting time, energy and money.
But you doing trading of altcoins, right?

Yes, but very, very small amounts. I don't bother with TA, I just presume anything on Poloniex will eventually pump and sit there until it does. I've never made a loss because they're utterly shameless and will literally pump anything. I don't know how long that can last though.

My preference is to get in on the ground floor with something new. There are enough coins being given away for free. If you buy in with small amounts when they're tiny then you might get lucky, if they fail it doesn't really matter.
11755  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Are altcoin price movements have some mathematical explanation? on: May 16, 2017, 01:27:16 PM
So it's even not worth to learn and use? (technical analysis)

If it makes you feel better then why not?

This is the place where it pops up most often - https://www.reddit.com/r/BitcoinMarkets/

I'm not a big trader so couldn't tell you whether it's any good, but from my observations all the TA people do is move their lines around when the price moves unexpectedly and say they knew it was going to happen all along.
11756  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Are altcoin price movements have some mathematical explanation? on: May 16, 2017, 01:05:39 PM
Technical analysis is hopeless enough with Bitcoin, it completely goes out the window when it comes to alts. The only explanation anyone needs is that it'll pump when the people who control them want it to, and collapse when they feel like taking some profit.
11757  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: May 16, 2017, 12:06:39 PM
If I was a very large buyer who wanted to take a substantial position in BTC without raising the price too much one possible strategy would be to systemically and randomly pump various alt coins to intice Bitcoin holders to sell via FOMO.

I don't have any evidence this is occurring and I do not trade but when the market behaves strangely one must consider strange explanations.

That's sound reasoning that hadn't actually occurred to me before, but you'd have to be very friendly with the alt exchanges and trust them enough not to crater. If I was a megabuyer I wouldn't have enough faith in them. Poloniex is creaking badly.
11758  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: NEM (XEM) Official Thread - 100% New Code - Easy To Use APIs on: May 16, 2017, 11:58:26 AM
Damn, I just ordered a Ledger last Week...
me too. LOL
I think it will be integrated in Ledger as well Smiley

I don't care what it goes in, I'll buy it. I don't trust my own security measures. This is superb news.

If it makes you feel any better, there were many impatient people whom didn't believe in the potential of NEM that sold their stakes on release @ 0.00000150 BTC, At that time 1 bitcoin was around $300, so they would have got around $1000 when they sold.

I seem to recall the very first sale on Poloniex when it launched was for over 10,000 satoshis. I assume it was a dollar's worth.

Considering how little a stake was for so long I don't get why anyone would've sold. I'd go without a few hundred dollars and see what the future potential was.
11759  Economy / Speculation / Re: Thousands rushing to buy bitcoins to pay ransomware! price on rocket on: May 15, 2017, 08:57:14 PM
Fifty thousand dollars might not be a huge amount comparing to the market cap of bitcoin but the thing you have to remember is that the ransomeware just started collecting money and just calculate the amount of money they could run away with when it lasts for a couple of months, the amounts will be really huge and it is spreading like fire.

Many institutions have stockpiled Bitcoin from ages ago for scenarios just like this one. There won't be any market effects on the upside at least.

Can someone put me in touch with anyone who is a developer i just got back into crypto currency and need to talk to the developers about claiming a stakeholders claim

I'm afraid the window closed for that when the blockchain was launched in 2015.
