Pushpoold crashed and restart timed out after 15 tries...  Undecided It's back up now.

Nope... not connecting...

This is one of my favorite pools and its down!
This makes me sad, i've missed 3 btc per day already!

BTCLAW...welcome to the forums.

Question: Where do you think Bitcoins will go? Do you have faith it will stick around or will the government interfere and put an end to this with one of their magical schemes?

Just want your honest opinion, would like to see what you think from a person in your field.

Seems like everybody is - it's down to 0 Ghash/s. So guess I may get nothing for this 16 hour block I've been contributing to?

Not sure, hopefully we get paid out for our work. The stats and counter is still working counting current round duration so lets see what happens when Dinox is back. (guessing hes asleep)

As, has been mentioned. Please do mind the EXIF data in your JPEGS... Mr. 10579

How often does the gadget (GET) / (REFRESH) your balance/stats?

LOL, I set my fan speeds to 100% and it lowered by 20C to ~74C! Guess I don't need these anymore.

100% is not always good my friend. The fan only has so many cycles to go through before it dies out.

just wait after 100 confirmations

Welcome to the club, looking for an alternate pool at this point until this is all sorted out.

All 6 of my miners are down, wasted efforts at this point. =\
94  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: ~70GH Pool [Swepool.net] Pay-Per-Share, LP, API, SSL, Block Find Bonus! on: June 11, 2011, 10:40:32 AM
Hi guys!

swepool has had huge losses in last time and we cant sustain pay-per-share anymore. I do think we had the same attack as made bitpenny shut down (the other pay-per-share only pool).

We are switching to proportional, there will be no downtime and all shares submitted from this point are counted towards next block solve. Hashspeed calculators is a bit out of order right now, please have some patience with that.

Thanks.

Questions:

1) How do we get paid? How does proportional really work?
2) I am getting TCP timeout errors with phoenix miner to SWEPOOL.NET (miner idle, then it fails) tcp twisted time out error connection failed then reconnects
3) Will the BTC counter on the profile page update itself based off of work?
4) What happens to the current shares I am contributing? Why is it showing 0BTC?
1. There is now an estimate counter on your profile, you will be paid that amount when swepool solves a block.
2. I have no reports on errors like this, can you please copy/paste errors in a pm to me?
3. Yes
4. I had to rewrite some code, It's working right now. The counter shows your_round_shares / pool_round_shares which is what you get paid when we solve a block.

I also want to notify you that this is not a permanent way for swepool but we will be going proportional until I figured out a un-cheatable pay-model where you get paid instantly.

Thanks, new to the proportional area, always did solo or PPS.
So until the pool solves a block, I'll be getting 0 BTC? When they do solve, how much does it give to its users?
The estimate counter is way below than what PPS was offering, from .8 bitcions to .16? =\

Need an update!
97  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: Substantially smaller payouts with Slush on: June 11, 2011, 12:35:13 AM
Let me rephrase, I make 2-3 bitcoins/day  @ 1,800 mhashes/s

Pool info is in my signature. I've tried almost all pools, I like this the most.
Seems to pay more than everyone else (its PPS, I dont like waiting for confirmations and love the instant cashout button)

Give it a shot, whats your hash rate?
98  Other / CPU/GPU Bitcoin mining hardware / Re: Found three ps3 in my basement :) on: June 11, 2011, 12:33:43 AM
Whats up everyone. i found this site the other day just messing around. I got very interested when i found out you could mine on ps3's. so i guess im wondering if theres a guide for this? any step by steps? Im not completely unfamiliar with linux i just dont know where the files i need are. Anyone willing to help or guide me in the right direction would get free logos of there choice. Ill made some for everyone really Smiley

I feel like this is the future so i dont mind putting my part in to "get in"  Wink

Trust me, not worth your time with a PS3. 15 mhashes at MAX which would take you YEARSSSSSSSS!!!!!!!!
99  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: Substantially smaller payouts with Slush on: June 11, 2011, 12:30:45 AM
I'm mining at about 570/600 Mh/s. At the current difficulty, I should expect an average of about 1 BTC per day. I have been mining for well over 12 hours on the Slush pool and only earned about 0.03 BTC (confirmed) and 0.16 BTC (unconfirmed). Even assuming an optimistic 0.20 BTC for 12 hours, it's still way less than half what I should be getting in theory (and on average).

A friend of mine who has the same hardware as mine, as been running it for days and he averages 0.3 BTC with 600 Mh/s from Slush.

Is this normal and expected?

Depends on the pool. I like where I'm at, 2-3 bitcoins /day
