ingram is getting 20k units as of...few weeks ago iirc
While this is interesting, are we able to actually order from there? Because I'd be interested in whatever minimum quantity they sell.

Ended up picked up (2) 3070s for $1519.38

Current hashrate: 127.86MHs
Earnings per day: $14.54 per day

Much better deal than the 3090
3  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Number 9! Ninth altcoin thread. Back to the moon Baby! on: February 03, 2021, 02:58:49 PM
My numbers say a 3090 would earn:
Daily: $11.90
Monthly:  $357

Payback of about 7 months.. gonna try and pick a couple up!

Might be getting close to a short term top.  MSI may be making some mining cards soon.

https://www.tomshardware.com/news/msi-registers-rtx-3060-ti-miner-cards

With the way that MSI has priced their cards this year can't see them being that cheap compared to non mining 3060 ti's so they would need to be fast or less power hungry.

they just need to be available. Grin

Available now for delivery next week!
Where? I can't find them..

If 4gb gear drops off this could take off again.
This won't be happening Sad

Looks like the wind has been pulled from the sails for DeFi. ETH blocks are down to about 2.5ETH in rewards and revenue is about 1/2 what it was 10 days ago, 1/3 what is was 20 days ago. Whoever bough a bunch of new hardware better be in it for the long haul.

I'm curious as to how hard RVN and ETC are going to get hit these next 2 weeks.
And 80% down from a few weeks ago. There was a point when my AwesomeMiner setup was projecting over $5,000 a month income. Currently showing ~$1,100  Cry

Did you guys see this?  Won't a 75% reduction in rewards will kill mining?  I was planning on replacing my old cards with newer cards but this has put a damper on my plans.

The new EIP-2878 would reduce block rewards by 75% and has received sharp criticism from miners who say it will compromise the network’s security.

https://medium.com/@omgfin/shock-ethereum-miners-against-proposal-to-reduce-block-rewards-by-75-a62c16faa081
This will only work if ETH's TPS is increased leading to higher cumulative fees (not higher GAS prices) and make the total block reward about the same.

Good morning, I took a trip through the documentation but was unable to find an answer to my question.

I'm building a rule to execute an external program and I would like to pass the miner's tags through to the output, is that currently possible?

In the Managed Miner Properties, please go to the Command Line section and uncheck "Execute batch commands with Administrator privileges". Can you please verify if this works better?
Woohoo! That did the trick! Thank you as always!

For anyone that likes to look for patterns.. this could be the start of a nice long downtrend  Sad

12  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Number 9! Ninth altcoin thread. Back to the moon Baby! on: September 04, 2020, 11:59:56 PM
ETH block reward is 40-70% less than yesterday.. YIKES. Those crazy fees really make mining crazy profitable.

The project in your sig is interesting. Everything came back clean on VirusTotal but all my machines are linux based currently.

Regarding the power supply, is it safe to convert 6 pin to 8 pin with power adapter cables for the GPUs
Yes. I have done this for years with no issues.

Hello,
Can you please try if the following works better?
bash -c "sudo /root/utils/oc_dpm.sh 1800 1100 950"
Did not work either Sad

Code:

you all remember when DAG was inside the hard drive at the early days of ETH mining?, it was moved inside VRAM for faster hashes.

so, if a miner dev develops a miner to put DAG inside RAM, NVME/SSD, might still push these 4gb cards if the hashes per watt are still in "profitable" area. same thing with ASICS.
Wow this was before I started in 2016, what was the speedup of going from not in VRAM -> VRAM?

If that's the case, the next logical place to store it would be in the system RAM, upgrading that is super easy and it would be the next fastest access place..

This could be a big big deal..

Good morning, I'm having a strange issue with AM.

I execute this command before miner start on my Linux worker: "sudo /root/utils/oc_dpm.sh 1800 1100 950"

Remote Log Lines:
Code:
9/2/20 12:06:31 PM.476 [007] [S][ManagedMiner#51 - 192.168.2.135] Executing batch commands as admin: sudo /root/utils/oc_dpm.sh 1800 1100 950
9/2/20 12:06:31 PM.476 [007] [S]Set execution permission for: /root/.config/AwesomeMinerService/phoenixminer_5.1c_linux.tar_1/PhoenixMiner_5.1c_Linux/awesome.sh
9/2/20 12:06:32 PM.491 [007] [S][ManagedMiner#51 - 192.168.2.135] Sucessfully executed batch commands
The process is running as root, and when I run the script via SSH as root it executes just fine.

However, this script does not seem to be working when executed via AM.

Any ideas?

EDIT: Confirmed it also works by running via System -> Execute Remote Command

way cheaper then 500 usd. I can get them for around 410 maybe 395
My average purchase price is $380 with 18 months 0% interest

My sources in Shenzen shared with me that come November, we may see a sharp drop in hash due to 4GB cards going offline. This should give us enough time to get ready...
Yes, this is why I jumped in whole hog on new cards, ETH doubling was just gravy. I expect to see a 25-50% hashrate drop.

@soothaa ..... I doubt I have enough power in my current farm to get 40 plus rigs, since I gave up 50% of my farm space.
Aha that makes sense. Yeah I'll be cutting any RX570's/Vegas as I increase my 5700XT stack. Up to.. 20 I think. They're amazing cards.

I would have gone whole hog and bought 50-100, but I'm under contract for another rental building atm and can't be running a card up without getting an earful from my bank!  Grin
