I'm also getting a "DevFee: stop mining and disconnect" error in the console. Is this related to the same issue?
Dont think so. Mining is separate from updating status to simplemining.net What can be done to fix it? I already have a significant balance. My miner is running ok after restarting, but I'm pretty sure it will happen again if no preventative measures are taken. It's the claymore miner fee. The miner mines for him 2% of the time.

You haven't stopped drooling since you first laid eyes on this, haven't you?

Hi, have little trouble with simplemining OS. I run 12 GPU in single motherboard and OS overclock only first 10 GPUs. How to fix it ? Thx
You'll have to share with us how you're doing that first

what you mean by death moth ?
Thank you so much

I was reading this thread (pretty sure it was this one) very late last night and thought I saw someone talking about getting the 1080 TI's to 1000MHs on Skein with a custom miner they had to compile, but today I cannot find that message. Does anyone know what I was reading about?

Ok, found a Windows computer and it worked! Thanks.
Please let me know if you gain any performance increase!

If you're using a Windows computer, try extracting it first with 7zip, then moving the files over with WinSCP,

You could just get the same % increase from OCing though!
Not true. An optimized/better driver can provide a huge performance increase above and beyond just OC'ing. There's a reason claymores miner pretty much the de facto standard, because his code is super high quality and faster than everything else. The OS, drivers, miner, OC'ing and memory strap tweaking, they all play a part in your overall hashrate.

The chip in your 580 is the same chip as in a 480.
This is true, but I'd never turn down a few % increase from upgrading to a newer and better driver! Was hoping he had some info.

Any plans to upgrade GPU drivers? I'm having quite poor performance with RX 580 both stock and modded. In fact, the SMOS recognizes them as RX 480. So I suspect outdated drivers might be decreasing the performance.
We can cook something up if you can provide me with decent information about which ones provide better performance - I'm sure tytanick is very busy programming other things in at the moment.

First thank you for an amazing mining OS.
I keep getting "Invalid rom header signature" on boot. With BTC Pro motherboard and 6 x RX 480. Any idea?
Do you have secure boot disabled?

Hi Tytanik,
First of all: great work! As a semi-linux-noob I would like to know if it is possible to set up a SSH connection (easy part) en read the output of the miner. I know I can open the site en read the console but I'd like to read it in a PuTTy window.
Start you SSH client, log on your miner f.e. ssh miner@192.168.1.10 password is "miner", then list screen sessions "screen -ls" it will show screen session ID of your working miner, just use screen -x ID. 1. 2. Hope it works on Putty in same way. I get No Sockets found in /var/run/screen/S-root. The way I do this is: Login with user: miner pass: miner screen -r miner

Don't forget that actually I'm giving good discounts to new CAT Customers and new API PurchaseThis will continue until i'll be able to determine a new price list. BTC Price is too instable actually so i'm not able to do this Is this still the case?

Well I certainly do not have the capital to purchase a site, but I would very much be interested (and able) to help run and manage such an site. I have decently extensive software and hardware experience, sysadmin for nearly 10 years, and a health hate of the cloud

Business and some websites typically sell for 2-3x their annual revenue. However with the giant bubble that could be, it's tough to say. Why not continue running it? Or have someone help/contribute and you still get plenty of profits?

Awesome thanks! I saw earlier you were not satisfied with the memory on your Asus(?) cards. If you're looking for any more, I'm having great results from my MSI Armor 570s. All of them so far have Hynix and can hash at 30mh/s. those are nice rates - problem is my local Microcenter is sold out of all AMD cards and I had to buy what was available.

So glad someone figured it out! Really appreciate it.
Is there any chance you remember which version worked? I'm about to make a bunch of smos SSDs for myself and I'd hate to have to do it all over again when I start adding 3 more cards to my 4 card gaming m5 rigs in a week or two.
To be honest.. I think I have one of both running.. but I don't really know.

Hello Guys,
I will test smOS and have a question. Have smOS undervoltage functions that have also effect to reduce my 6 RX 470 cards from 1000 Watt at the wall to my normal 860-900 Watt at the wall what i have at the moment with Windows 10. i have sometimes read undervoltage with Linux is not so good working
A other Question, is the OS at the moment free to Test and get i the full hashrate from my cards? Or i have to pay also for testing One Rig?
Regards Willi
Whoa there's a paid option? How did I miss this.. what does the paid option give us??
