Tytanick - any chance in putting this tool in utility folder in next version of smOS? Thanks
I second this. The more tools the better!

Awesome, thanks. Hopefully digging through this code should help me in my quest for more info from the cards.

That's not - oops. I misread. YES, amdmeminfo will show you the VRAM type. I read VRM manufacturer >.>
Crud. Doesn't look like it supports the 500 series. Guess I can probably figure out what to do from the source though.

You guys sound like you know some decent in depth stuff so hopefully you can point me in the right direction with these two questions.

1) How can I determine the VRAM manufacturer in linux?
2) How can I uniquely identify GPUs in linux (serial number, some kinda permanent unique ID, anything)

1) You can't, not exactly. There's no public tool to do so.
2) There is the ASIC serial, but I'm not sure how to get it with any public tool.

The polarisbioseditor shows it as a value IE 0x6 is Samsung - or am I wrong about this?

Well I may to dig into that..

Any way to save pools we want to mine at? Maybe I am missing something.
Not currently. I was writing a small tool to do this..

Soothaa,

I spent a good bit of the day futzing with that machine and I'm convinced that it's just not going to support 7 cards until MSI releases a new bios that's going to allow us to disable the SATA controller. I have several z98 boards from them that support 7 cards and in each case, the option that allows use of the 7th card is the ability to disable the SATA controller.

With 7 cards on the z170a, you can get 7 cards to show up in the OS and Claymore but as soon as a stress is put on the cards, you start to see weirdness with the OS like hangups or dropping network. I believe this is due to a resource constraint. Possibly interrupts or memory addresses. I went through the OS and ensured that everything that could be disabled was. That included: Audio, HPTimer, and the Serial port. Could be that the next BIOS from MSI fixes things. Only time will tell.

The highlight of the day had to be the new USB risers. Back in 2013/2014, those were crazy expensive and difficult to get. Now days, they're cheaper than the risers I bought years ago. These new ones popped right in and replaced the older risers AND the jumper wires I'd had to put in the PCIe slots to force the motherboard to see the cards.
That's interesting. I still have not yet had time to take another look at the board (and still won't tonight Sad) plus it seems Amazon is delaying my new risers until Friday. Come Saturday I will be totally focused on this and building my datacenter so I hopefully will have more info then.

Anyone experienced any errors like this?

[ 1084.587016] amdgpu 0000:07:00.0: GPU fault detected: 147 0x05708801
[ 1084.587016] amdgpu 0000:07:00.0: VM_CONTEXT1_PROTECTION_FAULT_ADDR 0x00E0983C
[ 1084.587016] amdgpu 0000:07:00.0: VM_CONTEXT1_PROTECTION_FAULT_STATUS 0x06088002

I've walked the cards and even went as far as replacing the OS but it keeps coming back. So far, I'm only seeing this on the z170a board with the 6 470s.
Yes my dmesg is spammed with that. I ignore it.

Yes, I have 7 plugged in with 6 working just fine at the moment, and I believe the lack of the 7th showing up is that I have not shorted out the second x16 slot - I am running old style risers from 2014.

I hope to short the pins during lunch today and have 7 running!

I'll get you the exact specs sometime today, work permitting Smiley

please report if this is a HW or SW problem. I am interested in this as well.
Sorry I haven't had time to resolve this yet. Busy busy always..

I was able to get my MSI Z170A GAMING M5 to boot with 6 GPU's plugged in and Above 4G decoding enabled with one of your modified kernels. I am still trying to trace down why only 5 are showing in claymore though..

Yes, their web interface seems to be having trouble. Their API is working fine though.

The new update looks very nice!

Any update on the Linux client? I've had to move back to simpleminer's Linux distro due to issues trying to use Windows.

I'm enjoying your tool quite a lot! The only thing keeping me from becoming a donator is I am awaiting the Linux client (as only one of my rigs is running Windows.) Do you have a guess when you might start testing it? I would be happy to be a beta tester and provide verbose feedback, I'm a sysadmin with 10 years IT experience.

Ohhh I see, I must keep the dual options listed even if I don't plan on using them. Working now, thank you!

Good morning. This tool looks amazing and I will probably become a donater as soon as I test it out.

I am having a bit of trouble with my initial setup. I have "MINER = algo" set in my config file, I have my addresses and pools set up correctly for MUISC (as it is currently the best as per the algo) (addr: 0xd9c2df92fa5397d5ec0296656b7584a01a295a82, pool: musicoin.nomnom.technology:9999)

I have set the CLAYMORE-DUAL miner set to:
-eworker (WORKER)
-epool (1_COIN_POOL)
-ewal (1_COIN_ADDRESS)
-epsw x
-ethi 7

When I start the node, I get an error in claymore that "(1_COIN_POOL), no port specified!"
What am I configuring wrong to get auto pool switched?

Hey there, I love this project so much. It's so well made and makes so much sense, thanks a million!

May I ask why Crypsty is not supported, it's such a major exchange. I've checked out your code and will begin to write my own Cryptsy support this weekend unless you have it on your roadmap Smiley

What I don't understand is why you have the website tied to your real name. The point of crypto coins is to be annon. The gambling is a gray area in the legal sense already. So why did you leave personal contact info tied to your website? This could have operated anonymously perfectly fine.
959  Bitcoin / Group buys / Re: [INTEREST] CoiningSolutions.com Bitmain AntMiner S3 List on: June 24, 2014, 12:52:06 AM
I have ~9.7BTC I would like to buy with. Price depending of course. Depending on the price, I may want to purchase more.

I would hope that would get me around 10 miners if not more, so put me down for that.
