Dude, where's my car?

Yes, no need to close the wallet itself, just close the app and next time it loads from that date.

65  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: I made a withdrawal to my bank account via Kraken and it came in double! Help! on: November 12, 2014, 09:52:34 AM
You should not mention 'bitcoin' within 20 blocks of your bank. Even if they are bitcoin-neutral now, they can close your account tomorrow. Open a new account somewhere else now.

Get your money out of all exchanges and online wallets. This is the season for 'hacks' and failures. Use otc to buy/sell.

Open a ticket with Kraken if you feel like it.
66  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: What you you do with 9kW of private hydro? on: November 11, 2014, 09:09:15 AM
weirdly, am coming round to this idea. you probably won't lose too much money as it's a small project (for god's sake don't start selling shares).

and it will be fascinating to see how well the rigs stand up to the hydro abuse you outline, and how your mitigation switching works out. could you keep us up to date on things?

but is there really no way to sell the power back to the grid? that and buying btc will make you more dollars over the 6 months. no doubt

We tend to call it BTC.
current hashrates, huh? what is your estimate of future hashrates and difficulty rises?
it is unlikely that you can break even by buying any miners currently available, even with free electricity.
show us your maths...

on resilience and non-24 hour mining, this just makes things worse.

The guys behind that have pretty good reputation; you, less so. This is 99% of the battle.
Also, is too an online wallet.
72  Other / Off-topic / Re: Latin question on: November 05, 2014, 10:15:56 AM
Thanks for the input, everyone! I think I might go with "Libertas Lunae" even if it maybe doesn't exactly match the meaning I intend. Luna/Lunaris don't sound quite as good IMO.

"Libertas Lunae" can also mean "(give) liberty to the moon", if that is what you are looking for.

- Act as a "competitor" to the Bitcoin Foundation in some areas.

I really like the sound of that  Grin

Yes. Let a thousand Bitcoin Foundations flourish: http://therealbitcoin.org/
73  Economy / Collectibles / Re: "What is Bitcoin?" silkscreened posters [SOLD OUT] on: November 04, 2014, 05:08:28 PM
Mine came at last. It is so much fun. Even got the number I wanted, which must have been a sweat as well, so thanks, nubbins, very much.
(Sadly the postman creased it a bit, but I guess this'll iron out.)

Now when is the next in the series?

74  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The Official Blacklist of Entities Operating in the Bitcoin/Cryptocurrency Space on: November 04, 2014, 12:44:30 PM
You may want to add them here as well: https://www.bitjustice.org

On the good guys list now, and thanks, bud.

I put you at the top of the list in the OP, and will give you 100% free billing on the official site I'm building.

Could you get rid of them, please, they're bitcoin blacklisting freaks. Blacklisting the people is fine, but not the bitcoins.

This is such a fucking scammie.

That wallet's only worth like $83.50.

considerable, young Padawan's input is

anyhoo, 3 weeks to go

any more takers?
76  Other / Off-topic / Re: Latin question on: November 01, 2014, 09:30:58 AM
It's more like Lunaris Libertas or Libertas Lunaris, as mentioned above.

lunae - the genitive of luna - would mean the moon's own liberty

whereas lunaris - the adjective of luna - means moonly, or lunar, or associated with the moon

so libertas lunaris means the freedom associated with the moon or freedom on the moon

(railz did Latin from 10-18 yrs)

followed closely by LukeJr who said the same. LukeJr then launched off on a rant about how we should "want them to get paid".  nice spin Luke.  i don't have a problem with you starting a private company but not while taking advantage of your position.

I don't like nor trust Luke jr. He's the biggest criminal of the lot. Seriously, did non-one follow his actions in the past years?

Luke, I'd pay for you NOT to work on Bitcoin. I don't trust you at all.

Your money might be better spent on the current project ( http://therealbitcoin.org/ ) to write a better bitcoin: http://log.bitcoin-assets.com/?date=28-10-2014#899422
