Graincoin OS X Wallet BinariesI finally got around to putting together OS X wallet binaries for graincoin. Two are available: OS X 10.7: https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B8rWObF4xz1YeERVc3cxeGJVLUE/edit?usp=sharingOS X 10.9: https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B8rWObF4xz1Ya3c0bTlBel9hZkk/edit?usp=sharingThese binaries required changing the code in some places, so I'll put up a pull request soon at github. The tiny icons for the binaries are the Graincoin symbol, , which seems to be endorsed by bosian and got favorite votes from myself and a couple of others in an informal poll. The symbol looks like this in a sentence: One bitcoin shouldn't go for any more than 80, IMO. Note that I put a 4pt space between and the "80". The symbol can be integrated into your posts using the following links: 10 pt (bitcointalk default) 12 pt : 14 pt A high res version of is at http://imageshack.com/a/img607/4425/19du.png:

I've received a bunch of small payments from mining. Should I send the balance to myself to reset the coinage so their all the same, or does it matter?
I wouldn't, don't waste your already accrued time on the coinage. Just keep filling the silo with that grain. That's a lot of PoS blocks Had my wallet off a few days, switching operating systems, nice surprise when the wallet synced. Coin is running great btw, real smooth, nice work! Yes you don't need to have wallet open all the time, although you get PoS in time, but usually small coins, if you accumulate some time then open the wallet, you get bigger ones, as the coin-day accumulates, it will never be lost because you did not open the wallet. Wouldn't you theoretically earn more interest over time by keeping your wallet open more often? If you receive small amounts often, then the earliest ones would mature and themselves earn interest, compared to leaving the wallet closed and receiving the interest all in one go, where in that time you wouldn't have earned any compound interest. Hope that makes sense. It's hard to put into words. Yes what you mean is the compound interest versus simple interest, that is correct. Though I think the difference is not big.

Dear miners.
Today I did a big mistake that lead me to sending out ~4.5mil gra to most of the addresses that mined blocks since 100000 through 130000. I am so frustrated that I will not process today the payments for blocks. I will do it anyway tomorrow or day after tomorrow according to the records on this thread what have not been paid yet.
Thank you.
P.S. I will appreciate your good will to return mistakenly sent grains to this address 9D2yGsiqBzq2qmX58pCi9jgNPLubNwGGfV.
How many have u received back now? Oops... hope you will get back most... We'll fix the issues and resend all that not sent yet.

My apologies, and thank for the explanation. Was semi-afk when I posted that.
Also, I didn't destroy the coin age of those coins; I just received that gracious donation. So I suppose I'll have to wait 10 days for those coins to age before I sip from their lovely POS spirits, lol.
You don't need to open all the time the client. Once the coin-day meets the POS reqiurements, and any time when you open the client, the client will start to mine the pos blocks. If you don't open the client, the coin-days will just accumulate until the time you open the client, all the coin-day accumulated to that time will be used to generate the pos block, so you will not lose anything. Got it, I do have one last question. Do the coins Received from POS also apply to future POS coins Received after their coin age also reach 10 days? The coins received from pos are similar to pow mined coins, they will be held in "stake" (together with their "source" - if 2 coins are generated from 100 coins in a pos block, then the 102 coins will be held in "stake", you will see your balance decreased by 100 coins, they moved to "stake"). Now the "stake" will take 50 confirmations to "mature" (same as PoW minted coins in "immature"), once matured, the coins will be added back to "balance". All coins in "balance" will be counted for new pos generations.
