2081  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Accidentally created a wallet address that someone else already has? on: May 21, 2014, 05:26:46 AM
I heard there are more Bitcoin addresses possible than there are atoms in the universe.

The number of bitcoin addresses is big.  Very VERY big.  But, to say that there are more bitcoin addresses than atoms in the entire universe is what would be called an exaggeration.

The last I saw, the number of atoms in the entire observable universe is estimated to be within the range of 1078 to 1082.

The number of possible bitcoin addresses is less than 1049.

what if someone made a computer script that automatically created addresses and checks the balances? i'm guessing that if it were the case, it still wouldn't be worth it, considering that the electricity costs would likely be more than the potential $$$ you can make by stealing from others.

That scenario is addressed in this infographic, quoted from gweedo's post:

I am going to turn this thread into 'Scam Art Zone' until we hear from 50BTC

<img>

You won't hear from them.

You're right.

But at least these posts will serve as a warning for newbies to stay away from 50BTC.

The other day I read an article about scientific possibility of a creature as big as Godzilla. In short, there is NONE.

The impossible anatomy of Godzilla:
http://www.popularmechanics.com/technology/digital/fact-vs-fiction/the-impossible-anatomy-of-godzilla-16785535

There could be godzilla on alien worlds or in the far future if humans goes extinct.

I have a new theory. Dinosaurs did not go extinct because of a meteor crash. Godzilla ate them.

Anyone here using chrome and cryptokit? I never used it, but obviously people are reporting losses of BTC with the extension disappearing from their browsers...

It is being discussed here in detail:

Go watch the new Godzilla Movie.

Just saw the godzilla movie, its pretty decent.  Smiley

Not much of monster fighting, but still the blue beam is so original gotta love it.
There is going to be Godzilla 2 http://www.ign.com/articles/2014/05/19/surprise-godzilla-2-is-happening

Man seriously? wtf lol.

This one just came out though... Hahaha. I mean thats fast.. next thing you know were watching Godzilla 8.
Lol yeah. I didn't even expected this. I think they'll make lots of more Godzilla Movies?. If you have seen the Godzilla Animation tv series (Old). There are lots of other monsters exists than Godzilla in it. Which means there is a chance they'll make more movies. Grin

And the Godzilla will keep getting bigger and bigger? lol
Yep yep cuz it's Godzilla. I heard that some Japanese dude complained about the movie because Godzilla is begin fat in this new Godzilla Movie. that guy must be dope.

If this keeps on going, we might actually see a movie where Godzilla makes inter-galaxy travels with the Earth in his mouth
2092  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Broken GPU, should I buy back or Asic or Stay in Fiat on: May 20, 2014, 04:23:21 PM
you can buy 750ti and mine x11, they are very good at mine this algo, 2.2MH/s for 120 euro, it's a no brainer if you have already all the others components

Does 750Ti mine X11 at 2.2 MH/s? I am really interested.

yeah it does, that's about one 280x hashrate, without the new optimized version of sgminer, which isn't worth it because it was released by someone who implemented a code to gain 2% fee from your mining, also there is some bug in it

Nice! My HD7950 gives me only 1.8 MH/s and eats a lot of power. I know 750Ti uses a lot less power and gives 2.2 MH/s? That's impressive.
So I can resale my HD7950 and can point a 750Ti (which costs less) to DarkCoin Grin
2093  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: 50BTC.com-THE POOL OPERATOR HAS STOPPED RESPONDING AND IS NOT PAYING MINERS on: May 20, 2014, 04:17:58 PM
No response whatsoever from 50BTC to anyone in this thread. No post from 50BTC since February 2.

I believe the "THE POOL OPERATOR HAS STOPPED RESPONDING AND IS NOT PAYING MINERS" should still be placed on the thread.

The fact that they responded solely to a forum mod is an obvious attempt to ensure that the warning is removed from the thread title in order to continue luring unsuspecting miners to mine on their scam pool.

Don't mine on this pool.  You've been warned.

When you create a post in this thread, please make sure you use the title:

Re: 50BTC.com-THE POOL OPERATOR HAS STOPPED RESPONDING AND IS NOT PAYING MINERS

Thank you!

I will be the first one to respond with this title, thanks! Grin

And yes, responding to forum mods in PM shows they just want to get rid of warning messages in thread title and want to lure newbies.

lol... Indian markets are breaking all records. The BSE Sensex is trading at 25,000+ levels. I made the right decision to invest in Indian equities (through pink sheets). Should have invested more.  Grin

HOW DARE YOU INVEST IN ANYTHING OTHER THAN BITCOIN?  Grin

lol, Bitcoin is very risky investment, and no one want to invest everything in only 1 side. simple rule for investment dont put all eggs in 1 basket. just diversify your investment and you will always be safe.

Agreed. It was only a joke. I have my own investment diversified Smiley
2097  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: If you consider getting an ASIC machine, read this on: May 20, 2014, 12:25:36 PM
If you had a machine that literally printed money, would you sell it?

If my machine's cost was $100 and I could print $1000 out of its lifecycle, I would print $700 out of it and then sell it for $200.
The customer would be happy that he paid $200 and printed $300

That's what BFL-like companies are doing in ASIC pre-orders.
2098  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The CEO of BTC China :it will not ban virtual currency completely on: May 20, 2014, 12:11:24 PM
No country can ban Bitcoin completely.

They can ban exchanges, but how will they ban mining?

Here is my choice for today:

Rhythm Divine by Enrique Iglesias (2005).

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UZrzOZaI7UE

I used to be a Enrique fan during my college days; Rhythm Divine, Bailamos and I'll Survive were my favorites.
I rarely listen to his music now, I don't remember listening to anything after 'Seven'
