You must have not been around long enough to know that bitmarket will sit on his prices and coins for years at a time, I think his last 10BTC coin took like a year to sell, but it did sell. That's cool with me. The longer he waits the lower the premium will get btc wise because if we know anything its that btc will continue to go up. Why do you think he's been sitting on this coin for 2 years trying to sell and with no one buying it? His asking price is not even close to being reasonable. Why are you so interested about my life? Can you elaborate, I really can't find much on the Series 2 coin but would be interested to hear your take on it. I just assumed they were made by Mike and sent unfunded at the time due to the 2FA security and price of Bitcoin. I know because I got in touch with both of the owners of the redeemed 1K BTC gold coins to acquire them.
I agree that the 1k BTC coin is likely the most desired, but unrealistic. Realistically it's the 10BTC silver round w/ gold B as prominently displayed on the casascius homepage and numerous news articles.

500 or 5000 pieces it's all the same. Put enough time into it and you'll get it done. It's all relative. I don't see the value in more pieces. The time is worth more to me. But honestly if they had a bigger size I would of ordered that. This was the only one available.
It took about 7 days, a few hours a day. Framing it was a process too. Had to get a thick paper to glue it on and then it started warping when it dried so I had to press it with some weight for a day. I'm sure there is a right way of doing it and I should of googled it but whatever it turned out alright.
