One time I emailed lifehacker and told them one if their articles sucked. And they signed my email up for 100 random spam newsletters.

Our previous investors at DFJ referred us to Orrick for all legal proceedings. For taxes,

They are very high-tech and high-end.  Work with all major entities in the valley.

best of luck to you.  i suggest you talk to lawyers instead of accountants. accountants obey the law and organize. lawyers flex and bend it while introducing new ones.

i'm off to see the new transformers movie. i hear it's pretty good.

edit: rotten tomatoes tells me it sucks. never mind..

A large room full of people who turn into howling apes for a ball chasing game is highly disturbing and I don't personally like this public behaviour as it is irritating. It happens in bars and pubs, as if football is supposed to be liked by everyone while it isn't. Not to mention the facebook frenzy for all kinds of football events.

Anyone with even the slightest amount of intelligence should at least be aware of the fact that people pay way too much attention to unimportant things such as football while real important events don't get the attention they deserve.

seriously. athletes get paid millions, sometimes tens of millions a year, the most brilliant scientific minds on earth get like 200k best case scenario. usually more like 70-100k. our soldiers get paid like 35k. priorities...

Well A soldier does die for his country but at the same time that means you trust your military to be honest and transparent and fighting for the right cause not a geopolitical agenda.

Scientists deserve their salaries they create and move society forward, the police keep the laws in check on the civil front etc.
Guess your right but the Athletes and the Actors provide our entertainment and it is a pyramid structure can't get up to the top that easily unless your skilled.

correct. and the executives and marketing heads decide on what direction to take their company based on economic conditions. that gives work for the engineers and scientists.  athletes are just like hollywood starts. their value is their fame. not necessarily their skill-set. and their fame is good for one thing, branding/marketing.

i don't see much in soldiers other than overhead. the heads of military view the foot grunts as disposable. they like to say their sacrifice is for the nations economic glory. but that reality is it's just part of the industrial complex.

there are so many Americans that have no idea what the war in Iraq is about. they have no idea why we've been there for almost 10 years. and despite all of the sacrifices and money spent, what was accomplished? they still lost control of Iraq. rest assured it is about the oil.

the thing i find funny is that these foot grunts sacrifice themselves for a fossil fuel we burn in our engines that they ultimately become.  in a way we burn ourselves in hell through our actions. make sense?  we burn the men and women that roamed this palnet many years ago  in our engines ever single day. Smiley

that's a dumb argument. the way it works now is the way it is meant to be and cannot be any better. just use your brain.

star athletes are marketing gold.  more eyes are on them than a engineer/scientist or soldier. a soldier is on the bottom of the chain in terms of intellectual caliber.  they do not deserve more pay.

look, i know what you're saying. but you post here as if i haven't been doing my homework and what the 3 CPA in my country are telling me is incorrect and you know better. you are right you didn't name call but you are being arrogant and then you top it off with don't take my advice go piss away your money. common dude, that's not very cool either. what kind of response do you expect? you don't have to name call to be a dick.
you may find my posts arrogant, and sure they kinda are, but your topic applies to everyone mining and investing in bitcoin. bitcoin and taxes. so maybe my posts will help another user. just saying.

and about knc scamming you and not sending you a refund, well, that happens all the time. most people scammed lose their money forever. i lost a lot in mtgox and i don't see it ever coming back.

being an asshole isn't nice and it's not exactly good PR for somebody who is trying to create a BTC marketplace. somebody as smart as you should know public relations is pretty important for a startup business.

hey i never called you names. i just disagreed with your actions. if i were you i would seek the best legal method to nullify my taxes or reduce them as much as possible.  orrick is the best lawfirm in the business to accomplish this. their lawyers aren't cheap ($600-900/hr) but they get the job done. i've worked with them in the past on a IP case. they also specialize working with tech companies.

i already had a startup business and sold it. and had to deal with the same tax issues.  now i live retirement.

edit: i never told you to leave the country. i just told you what one wealthy billionaire did to avoid paying huge taxes to a single government.  there are legal methods to reduce your taxes, sometimes down to zero.

and yes, our government (i'm a US citizen) pisses away a lot of my tax money on things I do not support, like bailing out the horrendous US auto industry. i like to believe the fittest deserve to live, the weak deserve to die. clearly the incompetence of the US auto industry caused it to self destruct and I find it criminal they can get a bailout from our government -- using OUR tax dollars.
