The problem with Amazon purchases is that they only charge the money AFTER the order has been confirmed. So you can get the order confirmation easily, with a valid order number that you can check.
But after 1 day, it will tell you that the order has been cancelled because amazon wasn't able to charge funds through your credit card/bank account.
That was a problem when I used purse.io

A possible reason is that he's running an industrial drying room. Rather than just putting in a heater, might as well put a heater that mines btc on the side... I've seen one enterprising fellow did just that.

The vat cost is going to suck! As far as I'm aware VAT is only applicable if he's buying from a business, shouldn't have VAT if its a private seller. Could be wrong though I'm not sure about this to be honest. |

There does seem to be a bit of a dip in coin sales lately. It also looks to me its the same few people buying and selling the coins. This does happens when supply outstrips demand which is obviously the case. Either that or people are losing interest in physical coins . |
