The best time to invest in BTC is now.

This is because delaying the investment implies taking the risk of changing your mind and not investing in the future. Price movements up or down might affect your decision to invest. If it goes down you will think it will go down more or it is failing and decide not to invest. If it goes up you will think you missed the boat and have to wait more to buy lower. If you don't invest now, you might never invest, or in many months or years when the price will be multiples of the current price.

Yeah I bought below 200 in 2015 in the golden opportunity. That was a miracle. I put a big chunk of my savings in BTC at that time and never sold. Feeling very grateful.

I have invested 10 BTC on the first day of the ICO.
It was showing properly in the "Bitcoin investment history" and the "My MobileGo Tokens" was showing "to be calculated shortly".
Then a few days ago when I checked, the My MobileGo Tokens showed 0.00000 !
I then filled a form like suggested on this thread, but had absolutely no reply.
And now when I check, even my investment of 10 BTC in "Bitcoin investment history" is gone !! Disappeared ! It's now like I didn't ever send anything...
I find it unacceptable to have such an unreliable platform for an ICO and asking people money and making me having to go through trouble to show you that I invested my money in it but that your system is not taking it properly into account.

The low valuation is due to matchpool being almost completely out of the radar for most crypto enthousiasts and for everyone else.

Comparing it to ICOs like GNO that got massive exposure and pumped the valuation to ridiculous levels, Matchpool went unnoticed. It might be due to a poor communication strategy from the Matchpool team.

Who has read the whole Matchpool whitepaper ? Well I did and I find it absolutely brilliant and with extraordinary potential! If executed well, Matchpool could take a meaningful marketshare of the dating industry but also of the social media industry.

This is a typical exemple of a very big asymmetric payoff. An asymmetric payoff (also called an asymmetric return) is the set of possible results of an investment strategy where the upside potential is greater than the downside risk.
If Matchpool team fails to deliver, the value will go to 0. One can evaluate the probability of that.
If Matchpool succeeds to deliver, the vision is so brilliant and the concept has such gigantic potential. The online dating industry alone is worth 2.5 billion USD in the USA alone, but matchpool will greatly extend the scope of application of the platform beyond dating with its very smart, flexible and incentivised pool concept that is unique on the online social media space. If Matchpool would take even a few percents of the online dating scene worldwide (not even talking about the social media space), the valuation of its marketcap would certainly reach 100 million USD very quickly, but speculation on the cryptographic token and growth in users would probably push that valuation way higher.
Of course in case of great success and everyone starting to use the service for social matching purposes, then we are looking into a marketcap in the billions.

Matchpool delivers and succeeds moderately = you make say 1000% (10x)
Matchpool delivers and succeeds very significantly = you make say 10.000%

Exemple of probabilities estimation :
Failure : 50% x 0
Moderate success : 40% x 1000
Major success : 10% 10000
Expected return : 1400% or x14 times the investment.

I think giving a 50% chance of failure to the team is very pessimistic and prudent. I hope the odds are lower.

So even if the probability of complete failure from the team would be higher than 50%, I would still consider this investment as being very attractive for my medium and long term investment profile. I am investing more and will hold GUP solidly until we reach 100K satoshis. At that point I will sell a portion of my GUPs.

Great ICO. Congratulations to all participants. I think Matchpool is a promising project and I love the human dimension of the vision. The team looks great  and I would love to see a successful technology that brings people together in a new way and with fair incentives. I am very excited about this project.

It is highly probable (90%+) that it will drop significantly, yes. I would be surprised if we don't come back to test 35 USD in the next few days.
But there is also a small chance that it keeps going from here and we never see 50 USD or 0.04 BTC anymore.

Yes, but a BTC bagholder. Investing is a matter of "if, when, should" and diversification. I invested only 3% of my BTC holdings into DASH and that was enough to buy more DASH tokens than I have BTC. One can look at it as a cheap insurance against BTC being overtaken by Dash which can absolutely happen. So cheap in fact that it pays you money every week.

We just broke 58 USD on this parabolic prive movement. Nobody knows where this will stop and start retracing and to how much.
At 58 USD, I think Dash is still undervalued and here is why :

Dash value right now is not based on its present use but on a calculated speculation of its future use. We are observing a monumental and purely speculative value adjustment as people realise that Dash is probably one of the best candidate in case Bitcoin fails or in case Bitcoin will need to be supplemented by another network as a matter of complementarity. Investors are seduced by the prospects of Dash Evolution and I think they should be.  In my opinion, investing in Dash is a smart move because Dash has a smarter organisation than Bitcoin right now. Dash offers a combination of proof of work 45% and proof of stake 45% AND proof of added value to the network 10% where the value is judged through a democratic voting process. This is so smart and if Bitcoin had this right now, it would probably already be at 10 000 USD or more. Of course bitcoin COULD reorganise in this manner, but it is highly unlikely that this could happen. I think it is conservative to give a value of 5% of BTC to Dash even on a purely speculative basis. For this reason, I believe that Dash will be settling above 100 USD par token in the next few weeks or months and will reach much, much higher if Dash Evolution fulfils its promises and if the newly increased budgets for development, research and marketing is used intelligently.

Icebreaker, you fail to address the obvious. Yes it is a speculative mania but don't you see that it has some solid ground ?

I am happy to own a Dash MN, however I would really like to see transactions pick up a little bit before I decide to buy a few more. The price has gone up like 4X with no significant increase in transactions. I think Amanda seduced a lot of folks yesterday during her talk at Anarchapulco.

Is there any news that just pushed the price past 33 USD ? +15% +20% against BTC in a few minutes ??
