141  Economy / Services / Re: Genesis-mining.com || Signature Campaign on: June 05, 2014, 03:32:50 PM
You should use escrow for first month atleast but you will get few users without it also for sure.

I am still available for the escrow service Wink

Not really necessary. They are not a shady casino which can be taken down at any moment.

The biggest collateral they are offering right now is their reputation. If they scam their signature campaign members , they will lose all reputation in a month and won't be able to get users to trust them to maintain their contract.

Basically , if they scam people out of the signature campaign , they will bring the axe down on their own business.

TLDR; Their collateral is their rep , no escrow is needed.
What rep are we talking about, here? They are pretty new around.

Oh, darn. I voted for the wrong one because I was too lazy to actually count.
143  Economy / Speculation / Re: BOOM! BREAKING: Apple to allow bitcoin transmitting apps in AppStore on: June 03, 2014, 03:08:42 PM
An Apple user would. I watched a documentary recently about Apple obsessives who refused to date non Apple users. That's how desperate it is.

Anyway I can only dream of Android. I would prefer to die than suckle on the Apple teat.
Great way of generalizing. I am an Apple user (iPhone, not Mac) and I don't see any side as a loser. I'm also quite tech-savvy in the sense that I'm full-DIY and do software designing and programming. I can see why some people would prefer Android over iOS, however, these reasons don't apply to me. I just don't see how being tech-savvy relates to what phone you use.
144  Economy / Speculation / Re: BOOM! BREAKING: Apple to allow bitcoin transmitting apps in AppStore on: June 03, 2014, 03:39:42 AM
This sounds great. However, I won't truly believe it until I see a BTC app in the app store.
145  Economy / Services / Re: NEWBIES & JR MEMBERS Signature PAYMENT! on: June 02, 2014, 02:15:19 PM
If this turns out to be legit... Let the spamfest begin.
146  Other / Off-topic / Re: Basic Math Question on: June 01, 2014, 02:45:36 PM
Because it's a binome (dunno the English word for it).

(a+b)2=a2+2*a*b+b2
You only have to use the binomial formula when there is a variable in it. Sure, it also works with numbers, but it is unnecessary work. The answer is 2463.
147  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: BTC will replace Paypal/ViSA some day? BTC platform is working? on: June 01, 2014, 06:12:03 AM
PayPal will need to change if they plan to stay afloat. If they didn't, they would totally guess destroyed. However, they are probably smart enough to realize the threat that Bitcoin is to them.
148  Economy / Services / Re: Genesis-mining.com || Signature Campaign on: June 01, 2014, 06:00:06 AM
Has escrow been decided for this? Such a high offer from someone new with no escrow and no weekly payment is very risky for the users.
Although they are a competition and borrowed my opening post I think they are legit and are really planning to pay you.
Something I've learned in these forums is to never be so sure.
149  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Goat owe me 3740.35 BTC on: May 27, 2014, 01:38:00 AM
No one here should be pointing fingers at others (I saw some of that in the pages before). This being public should only be for throwing in ideas on how to solve it, but let them decide for themselves what to do.

151  Economy / Services / Re: GAW MINERS PAYS FOR YOUR SIGNATURE >>> HIGH RATES 50posts = 0.08BTC on: May 11, 2014, 02:35:08 PM
I just finished my 50 posts! You can pay to the previously mentioned address.
152  Other / Meta / Re: Some interesting charts on: May 11, 2014, 02:33:26 PM
Where did you get the online time for users from?
153  Economy / Services / Re: Signature program "best rates" on: May 11, 2014, 01:59:48 PM
I would suggest you look at a pay per post option - it might not be a popular choice with mods (tendency to promote spam) but if you set tough guidelines and enforce them people will back off from simply mindlessly spamming. It also gives you reasonably good exposure - nearly everyone has heard of PD thanks to their campaign.

Your rates will have to be competitive, at least early on. Use a known escrow to ensure funds are there to pay people. Finally, make sure you follow your payment time - people tend to get fustrated if you can't follow your payout terms.
You are assuming that the OP has time to go through all of the person's posts every time he pays out, something which most probably isn't true. We can clear see with both PrimeDice and Ritz that their guidelines are not stopping spammers.
154  Economy / Economics / Re: How to lock in BTC price? on: May 11, 2014, 05:17:05 AM
If you had stock you could do a "collar" with options.
No, a collar is where you hold the asset, but don't make or lose money if the price changes, which isn't what the OP wants. Though either strategy requires an options exchange, and there isn't one for bitcoins as far as I know.

If I understood correctly, you could do this with a service such as btc.sx.
Explain how. They only do leveraged trading as far as I can tell, not options.
Ok, then I guess I misunderstood what was going on. I'm not too well versed in these regards, so I'll stay away from this thread.
155  Other / New forum software / Re: New forum needs to be designed for mobile on: May 11, 2014, 05:15:42 AM
I believe the word you are looking for is "responsive." That doesn't change the fact that I will be totally expecting this in the new forum.
156  Economy / Economics / Re: How to lock in BTC price? on: May 11, 2014, 03:39:07 AM
If I understood correctly, you could do this with a service such as btc.sx. I am not sure if it is still alive, since the founder hasn't come online in like 2 weeks or so.
157  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Please help me! I have been stolen! on: May 11, 2014, 03:28:38 AM
Next time, if you want to get the hacker's IP, you need to enable logging in the settings section of the wallet.

EDIT: I also wouldn't stress that bad about 0.04 BTC. Just make sure not to ever reuse that password again. Make a new identifier too, just in case.
158  Economy / Services / Re: Signature program "best rates" on: May 10, 2014, 11:38:37 PM
Put the money you wish to pay out with a trusted escrow, and/or pay weekly. There are a couple of people who run signature campaigns here on behalf of others. EvilPanda is one and currently operates at least two deals.

I will send a message to EvilPanda once i got a sense of who are all the trusted people. I have a max post limit currently which makes it really hard to actually talk with anyone.

RitzGrandCasino is currently the highest paying confirmed deal and his rates are as follows:

Hero members 0.0013 BTC  Per constructive post.
Sr member 0.0011 BTC  Per constructive post.
Full Members 0.0007 BTC Per constructive post.
Members 0.0005 BTC  Per constructive post.

This will be interesting it seems, I can the problem with per posts as the "per constructive post" is subjective for payment, for the forum owners and for us also. I am keen to avoid any kind of friction point with anyone.

However, Updownbit has a new deal and pays 10000 satoshis more per post but his first payouts will be on Thursday, so until then it's not confirmed whether he is legitimate or not.

Thanks for the pointer, this part is something of interest to me. We have realtime affiliate statistics and instant affiliate payments, no need for waiting for money. If you are owed anything at any time then you can withdraw instantly.

It is a shame we can't do better than weekly like we do with everything else. Anyone have any better way we can approach this? II don't like the idea of people waiting for the week to end to see if they will get paid etc?

I think for the moment, escrow with more trusted users will solve this for the moment, though it would be nice to see what else can be done.

You don't necessarily have to better or match these rates if your campaign has other benefits.

If anyone has any idea what those benefits might look like then let me know, for the moment I am too tired to offer cuddles.

Aris
To add to what he said, howzar is also running a campaign, although I do not trust him completely (yet). EvilPanda has a longer history than him in these regards. About the benefits, that's really up to you. Maybe a loyalty program such as increasing payment for each consecutive month/week. I am not sure if what you said about not being able to do more than weekly was an error, but weekly itself is already quite good.
159  Other / Meta / Re: Removing legacy scammer tags on: May 10, 2014, 11:33:05 PM
Yet tradefortress and BFL operators are still allowed to post freely on the forum. What has this forum come to...
Scammers are allowed to keep posting because there is more of a chance that more information will come out of them or that they decide to return whatever they scammed if they have the chance to speak up or chat with others.
160  Economy / Services / Re: Minersource.net - Now Paying for your signatures! || New Loyalty Program! on: May 10, 2014, 11:22:39 PM
I am interested in this, however, the OP says we must do 75 posts, yet, you then said we only had to do 50 per month. Which is the correct one? And are you still accepting new members?
