261  Economy / Services / Re: WILL PAY MORE THAN ANYONE ELSE FOR RENTING SIG SPACE on: February 14, 2014, 04:14:55 PM
I think you have a great offer, given that payment is weekly there is no need for escrow or upfront payment.   If you screw anyone all they need do is make that comment to this particular threat or start a new one with that accusation and your credibility is shot.

Spyro is still a Jr. Member, at least in this forum, so there isn't much of a credibility to shoot at the moment... Tongue  And there are other deals with weekly payments that pay upfront, so at least using escrow seems fair.

EDIT:

Hi

why are you dont pay in BTC?

he said multiple times that he dosn't have any BTC or other CC at the moment (ATM)

he also indicated that he prefers to use paypal because he would have to pay a premium just to get the BTC

if you read between the lines he is cash heavy in paypal, and uncomfortable with btc's performance

He may be uncomfortable with btc's performance, but we're uncomfortable with paypal's charge backs and lack of anonymity.

Clearly the escrow feature is being overused, perhaps abused considering use for ongoing weekly services valued at less then $20 a week.  Is the number of scams on here that pervasive?

As for Paypal chargebacks, they are not terribly different than an escrow service when it involves a dispute, chargebacks are only as a result of a dispute.  If you use an escrow service what is their protocol when a dispute is made?   The funds would not get released if the payer indicates that the work was not performed as agreed would they?   So what is the material difference between a paypal dispute and tan escrow dispute?  In both cases neither party has the funds and the holder of the funds will play a large roll in who gets the funds.

You mentioned anonymity, any escrow service that would do a deal without knowing his principals is a fool begging for major trouble.

If there are more people who want cash for their sig than those who need sigs for their cash, S/D market forces would probably result in payees doing as requested.   If a payor jams a payee the payee will likely share that experience with the community making it more difficult for the payor to secure more deals (of any kind).

When considering this marketing vehicle it's probably good to weigh quality performance (the comments) over tenure.  Tenure has its place, and although the sig marketing thing is more of a numbers game -- impressions, there are some members whose comments you don't want associated with your marketing message regardless of tenure or volume.

This is the bitcoin forums. If you're a newbie or junior member dealing with anything over 1mBTC without paying first, you are most likely a scammer. Welcome.
262  Economy / Speculation / Re: MTGOX @ USD $365 What happen ? on: February 14, 2014, 03:31:14 AM
Stop being morons.

Seriously.

Gox price = fictitious and the exchange needs to die.

Good riddance.
Couldn't agree with this more than I already do.

Shahrukh , I would recommend you just let them continue advertising.
If they don't get approved first , it is their fault.
Let them continue giving you free advertising.

I have updated the thread title so that they do not accuse me for anything
Wait, I don't get this, you said I was qualified here...

So, who qualifies?

Just about to ask the same thing.. Cheesy

those who are already wearing signature did qualify

Then you said I was going to get paid when you were free...

So, who qualifies?

Just about to ask the same thing.. Cheesy

those who are already wearing signature did qualify
I believe that includes me. Could you confirm that? I did not receive any upfront payment, which is why I am wondering. Not like I need it though.

I did not pay you ? My bad. I will once I get free.

Am I approved or not? I think there's a misunderstanding going on...
265  Economy / Services / Re: Get Netflix/Hulu Plus for Posting! Advertise Netflix4BTC.com! [Customers Only] on: February 13, 2014, 04:50:34 PM
I already have one of these promo codes from buying a Sony TV. If I bought one of yours, would it add another year to my year subscription that I already have?
It should, I highly doubt it wouldn't.

267  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: blockchain.info is under attack? on: February 12, 2014, 11:10:56 PM
Not quite sure why hackers are so into hacking bitcoin sites/exchanges.  I mean sure there is money there, but there is money at a lot of financial places.  I would have hoped that they supported the cause and found other targets rather than bitcoin related services  Huh
Non-bitcoin financial institutions can seek legal ways to defend themselves and get their money back, which is probably why they don't attack them.
268  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: BlockChain Receive Payments API Question? on: February 12, 2014, 11:08:41 PM
I'm looking for a way to include the source\sending address within the callback string when using BlockChain's Receive Payments API. Does anyone know if this is possible?

I would have thought it would be a fair straight forward requirement, but I cant see any reference to the source address in their limited documentation.
They don't have a function for that. Instead, get its transaction ID and then use the transaction API to do it. This is probably done this way because there can be mote than one input address for transactions. You could also just use a different address per transaction.

Still paying out successfully. Awesome service.

This guy is cheating...  Shocked

Seems just like a trolololo. Or he just wanted to make a joke Smiley
Any proof of cheating - we will like to see it first. Tongue

I think he's referring to the fact he's made it a tiny link, which you can see several posts above. Whether thats legit or not I couldn't say.
Yeah, that is against the rules.
I don't think he will get paid for next week  Grin

I'm getting signature not detected, any ideas?
Please do not change our code and put it at the begin of your signature.

I was being serious!
271  Economy / Services / Re: Buying signature space [Already bought 7] on: February 12, 2014, 05:11:09 PM
Surfing from mobile will review new signatures once I login on computer
Be careful, people like softron who have a 1:1 post:activity ratio are usually alts.
272  Other / Meta / Re: Noob restriction, Theymos and mods we need this back on: February 11, 2014, 06:54:09 PM
I have to admit that the newbie restriction was annoying at first, but it makes sense. You can't just post senseless crap right away. However, for you to get rid of the noob status, you need to post. So the new users just leave useless junk, such as "+1", just to get more activity points.

The number of posts doesn't matter with regard to activity.
Yes, it does. If your post count is less than the activity you would otherwise have, your post count becomes your activity.
273  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Why you American's hate freedom? on: February 11, 2014, 06:36:26 PM

Americans love freedom.  Our government and the industries that own it do not.
+1

I think any decent person should love freedom, but unfortunately people have different opinions on what people should and shouldn't be able to do, and a a lot of the time it shouldn’t be anybody else’s business as long as it doesn't enroach on anybody elses freedom or cause them harm. Governments don't like people to be truly free or do what they want as it'd cause them a lot of problems. The laws and fear they spread are how they keep their power.

I couldn't agree more with this. As an example, some people go around saying that the government is taking away their people's freedom by not allowing them to use some drugs. In my opinion, this is more of a safety precaution than preventing freedom. I don't care about what people do with themselves, but I do care about what the people who take them can do to others. I'm going to stop here because else, I will just send this discussion completely off-topic.

275  Economy / Economics / Re: MESSAGE TO FEDS: PLEASE BAN BITCOIN on: February 11, 2014, 12:18:29 AM
Whenever something is banned, its price goes UP.  Wink So please, ban to your evil heart's content.

This is the worst thing I have read all day...maybe all week.  What planet are you living on that makes banned items more valuable?   It makes them impossible to adopt/use without facing legal implications.
You clearly have no idea of anything Wink (in a good way?). Banning something makes it harder to obtain, and therefore, more valuable. That doesn't mean I agree with the OP, though, I am just claiming you would usually be wrong. Most items actually do increase in value when prohibited.
276  Economy / Services / Re: Buying signature space on: February 11, 2014, 12:16:06 AM
You should probably say how much you are willing to pay for the signatures.
277  Economy / Services / Re: SatoshiAces **** Poker Casino & Faucet **** [2BTC sig promo] on: February 10, 2014, 08:07:33 PM
Good job reading! Seriously, can this thread be locked? It's already over.
278  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Apple removing last bitcoin wallet from AppStore Survey on: February 10, 2014, 01:02:34 AM
I have an iPhone, and even after this, I am not planning to go to any other brands. I tried the S4 and some HTC phones, but Android just didn't feel right to me. I just prefer iOS to it, but then again, that's just my opinion.
279  Economy / Lending / Re: 75 BITCOIN LOAN REQUEST. REPAY 150 BITCOINS. LARGE COLLATERAL. on: February 09, 2014, 03:58:15 PM
Anytime I need a good laugh I just come to the lending forum.

Op seems to be gone anyway.
Maybe he relaized that if he need a donkey he need to change place.
Actually, this is a good place to find one, as I have realized. There ARE dumb people in this forum who fall for obvious scams.

Everyone above credited, which concludes this promo for now, good luck all!

Awww, I should have posted yesterday. Can I please get paid?
You were already paid for that week, remember that he is paying up front for one week of your signature. I am assuming this is what you think since you don't have the sig anymore.
