Why is that karma? If I choose to spend money (just as you or anyone else can) to use VPS's to mine, why have I done something wrong? Congrats by the way, you're lucky!
Well you and the other farm operators obviously expected to make some/many coins but now it kicks you in the butt because the diff rocketed in an extreme way and will continue to do so. Also in my experience VPS are almost never profitable and you'd do much better with one or many rootservers. (I pay 43€ per month for the i7 920, 3 cores of it get me 475000 knumbers/s, hetzner ftw) The Karma thing was a joke, since luck means everything you could say that bad karma from being "greedy" ate up all your luck. Well its been 8 hours running hard with 64 cores and all I have so far is a single orphan. Is your miner set to --scantime 1? what does that do exactly? It tells your miner to check every second if there was a new block so you don't mine an orphan. Not sure if 1 is the best/most sane setting, can someone chime in?

LOL my shitty 4 core i7 920 server found a block. Lucky me! "Boohoo I paid hundreds of $ for my VPS farm and found nothing in the few hours since launch!", Karma's a bitch. Don't be greedy. Good coins are hard to mine, I don't expect to find the next block in the next 72 hours, if at all. Get a root.

The last time somebody tried something this lame was when Realsolid released his Solidcoin miner with inflated hashing values!
~BCX~
That sounds interesting, can you throw us noobs a link?

Well only giveaway threads are banned.

Hope you learnt your lesson: IPO = scam 99.9% of the time. At least in Altcoinland.

Anyone who downloaded this be carefull. The file size is twice that of most wallet binaries. He either built it in debug mode or the something else lurking in it It was probably statically compiled with the dll's inside.

Again, building a coin client for Windows is not a trivial task at all: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=149479.0So while OP should have indeed looked for help a week ago, don't hate on him for (probably) unforeseen problems. Feel free to help him if you're able to. edit: Seems igotik3d has jumped in, great guy, I trust him.

seriously, an honest ETA on Windows wallet would be appreciated. some of us have rather expensive VPS sitting here, eating money waiting to mine this thing.
thanks!
Don't get me wrong, but why do you use Windows on a VPS?! It's probably the reason the VPS is so expensive. Also I recommend getting root servers, the VPS won't make you happy (unless it's really powerful). Hetzner.de is great for cheap rootservers (look at the server-exchange).

50 blocks in 10 minutes. What? Either you're incredibly lucky, or you have cluster of about 3000 PC's .... I mean the network generated 50 blocks in 10 minutes. Shouldn't take long untill we reach #576. (#365 now)

Yep, you guys need to calm down. There won't be any reward untill everybody is happily hashing, because coin generation is going to be insanely hard untill then.
+ if you are stalking launches, you should learn to compile a wallet for yourself instead of being entitled whiners. You were given 3 days to check that everything is working fine.
You obviously never mined a fresh coin when the difficulty is low as fuck. I'd be surprised if they haven't yet reached block 576. Not gonna bother anymore. @ baokychen: You must add a node...

OMFG why let Linux users mine before a Windows wallet is released?!?!?! Because it's a fair coin. I hoped for a fair launch, very dissappointed. I guarantee there will be more than 576 blocks before WIndows wallet is released. Prove me wrong dev.
