I don’t if this is a stupid question or not. But why’s the difference between the older S9 and the S9i they just released? Heard it’s possible as bitmain is moving out of China that they are selling their S9 as new and hence the s9i, any truth to this ?

I just tried the same and had no problems applying any of my (expire in June) Coupons to their purchase. ok let's clear that one out. when you buy versions with i (with or without coupons) you don't get any more coupons. |

Yes, the router also does, cable TV. Is there an easy cure? Have to check manual. Mine for example has 2 middle ports reserved for tv channels only. 1 and 4 for net. So you have to buy switcher and plug it to one of those if you want to run more then 2 miners. |

I pointed them at the 'asic minertube' address.
When I go to my workers page it says one worker active. Though both seem to be doing their thing.
Welcome to the pool. You don't want to point your S9's to the the minertube address. Quoted from OP on page 1 "If you have an Asicminer Tube, you will need to mine to: stratum+tcp://nonce.kano.is:27181 It won't work properly on any other mining port. Don't point normal miners here. Your Tube miner stats will show up in your account without their worker name." Seems like I can only logon to the miner and run the reconfiguration from the (4 port) router #4 port. The other ports won't let me logon Is that normal? Took me a while to figure out that anomaly. All I can say...It must be a nightmare for the english speakers to use Celsius The English went metric years ago ... just Americans now who refuse to be sensible Yes, Americans like myself try to think of it in relative terms: "30C?! Is that freezing or boiling? Eh, more like half way. Ok. So, twice that sounds too hot for a miner..." Anyway, what surprised me was the low, sporadic hashrates I've never seen from this Avalon6 before (e.g. 2~2.5 vs. the usual 3.5~3.75)  Freezing is 0C Boiling is 100C - seems pretty simple 30C is 30% of the way to 100C or 0C I am skiing, 30C I am wearing slippers and shorts |

Do you have a garage available?? If it has a window and a vent in the attic that would be as good a place as any. When I started I just ran an ethernet cable out to mine. I only move them inside in the winter when I need the heat. No garage; just a laundry room at our new house since my wife objected to it running in the kitchen anymore. LOL Thanks for the ideas. Sadly, I ended up turning it off before leaving for work since they're calling for low-90 temps, and I couldn't risk it burning out this year.  FYI you are fine until 110 by new measures. After that it shuts down by itself. For days I have around 30C and running my s9 normaly at 90C. Can't wait till Monday lol. On Bitmain's official forum, they say max chip temperature is 115C Mine go up to 105C during the day. At night, minimum highest temp goes to 88C - thanks to the crap cooling airflow design - and lowest chip temp is 77C The hottest S9 (drawing 1580W !) has been running continuously for 4 months now All I can say...It must be a nightmare for the english speakers to use Celsius |
