61  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Recommended: Pantos (PAN) ICO by Bitpanda on: March 22, 2018, 12:58:22 PM
Thanks for your information . Pantos (PAN) has Official ANN Thread Link on Bitcointalk bro ? I want to know more information about this project .

I wanted to give you my personal perspective since I had the pleasure to see the developers in person. Hope that my info is not useless due to the official thread.
62  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Recommended: Pantos (PAN) ICO by Bitpanda on: March 22, 2018, 08:59:53 AM
I came across a great ICO, which is called Pantos (PAN). It is planning to implement the first Multi-Blockchain Token system and will allow users to transfer their PAN from one blockchainto to another for any reason, without any additional charges beyond any transaction fees paid to miners. One of the use cases for Pantos will be the possibility for traders to identify and exploit emerging price differences between arbitrary digital currency pairs, without the need to change one currency to another.

The ICO started yesterday and they already sold around 18% of their hardcap!

The team:
What makes this project outstanding is the team behind it. It was launched by the guys behind Bitpanda, one of the biggest crypto exchanges in the EU. I personally had the pleasure to talk to the two founding partners in the margins of an event in Vienna and I must say that they are both great guys. Not only are they enthusiastic about blockchain but they also know how to proactively deal with regulatory compliance, which will be a big issue in the near future. Bitpanda also is a well-established exchange, which (as I heard) will soon have around 100 employees in Vienna. For Pantos they will partner with researchers at the Technical University of Vienna, the Research Institute for Future Cryptoeconomics (RIAT) and the Austrian Academy of Sciences. So this is a project, which has a serious team behind it.

Airdrop:
PAN will also be airdropped to all users of Bitpanda (EU only). All you need to do is to create an account and accept the terms and conditions of the ICO. You can follow this link to do so: https://www.bitpanda.com/?ref=8863474651282989077

I would be interested to hear your thoughts about this project.

64  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What if Bitcointalk release its own currency ? on: March 15, 2018, 07:18:35 AM
I am also a little active on another forum which is called Altcoinstalks. They have their own token which you receive for being active on the forum. I don’t think that this would be a good idea for Bitcointalk, since there are already too many shot posters on here  Grin.
65  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why are my Free ERC20 Token Disappearing from MEW on: March 14, 2018, 08:06:26 PM
Simply add the ERC20 token as custom token again. It happens from time to time that they “disappear”. You can always see all of your tokens when you enter your public address on etherscan.
66  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Google to BAN crypto advertising-includes Youtube on: March 14, 2018, 08:00:41 PM
I really wonder why Google took this step. It’s not like people are doing something illegal when promoting cryptos.
67  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: GDPR data protection act also in BTT? on: March 12, 2018, 09:25:28 PM
I just read an interesting article in nytimes:

https://mobile.nytimes.com/2018/03/06/business/economy/user-data-pay.html?smid=fb-nytimes&smtyp=cur&referer=http://m.facebook.com/

basically it states what the world could have been if google, facebook and other massive organizations would pay us for the data they harvest from our use of their services and being sold for advertisers.

new GDPR regulation starting in may obligate all data harvesting companies (mostly in EU countries) to get a consent from their users. this is a real revolution in the data world. until these no publisher paid any attention to the user. now the user most pay his consent in order for the organizations to use it. and also the user can own the information and remove it or sell it.

so after all of these my question is in regard to BTT is if the keep any information about us and if so will they ask for our consent after May?

thoughts?

If you have voluntarily signed up for something and if it was made clear what your data will be used for and you have given your consent, e.g. by clicking on “I agree to the terms and conditions”, then there is no need to ask for consent again.

You have to know that the EU data protection regulation has already been in force for many years. The only new thing is that there are very strict penalties if a company does not comply and that consent has to be given very clearly, while previously an implicit consent could have been enough.

perhaps companies didn't really pay much attention to it until they will be fined. but you have to agree that this is a two way street. you provide the data and you are also the one being sold products too. of course you can just log out of google or facebook. that's why most people just agree to any terms.
i think that now when you see GDPR more on the news or in the media world it can make a strong affect to our power as users. i come from the media world and i can tell that a lot of companies that specializes in retrageting  suffer from this regulation and most of them facing termination these days. some really big ones!

I have a business law background and I fully agree with you. Now that severe fines are on the table companies pay much more attention to data protection and have come to realise what a pain the back it is.

69  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ICOs in the field of security tokens on: March 12, 2018, 02:26:01 PM
There are only few tokens or coins I know that deal in security. If someone has a list that will be helpful. I applied for the poly airdrop but didn't get it. Gladius was the other one and I did the bounty for them but they wanted KYC done at the end which I didn't want to do so lost that too. The one coin I know is Intense which deals with VPN.

There is also tZero, which however is now being investigated by the SEC. This does of course not necessarily mean that there will be any trouble, but it certainly creates a risk for investors. Apart from that tZero is a great project, since they are planning to launch an exchange for security tokens.

Do we have any news about the SEC investigation?

I assume that investigations like these don’t move very fast, so we will still have to wait until there will be news.

71  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Xrp hodl or sell? on: March 12, 2018, 09:59:57 AM
I think XRP could recover if the whole market goes up again. They have already made a lot of positive announcements and more will come. I know that a lot of people don’t like XRP, but compared to other projects they have a real USP. The only problem is that it was extremely hyped and this won’t happen again any time soon.
72  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Most undervalued alt coins? on: March 12, 2018, 09:53:07 AM
Jesus Coin  Grin.

No, seriously speaking I would suggest that you have a look at POLY. SETH could also be a good option since it is trading far below ICO price and will soon launch the product.

When you look for undervalued coins don’t go for “penny coins” since being cheap does not mean being undervalued.
73  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do you join ICOs that requires KYC? on: March 12, 2018, 07:39:32 AM
I only join selected ICOs that require KYC, since there is always some risk involved. I don’t mean the risk of the ICO selling your data since there are strict rules against it. What I mean is the threat of the company getting hacked. So I only join ICOs with KYC that have a good team behind the project and where I would also invest myself.
74  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Telegram ICO (TON) on: March 11, 2018, 04:47:11 PM
BnK to the Future is selling TON to their token holders (BFT), but the minimum investment is $ 10000. for those who don’t hold BFT it is even 100000!
75  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Are ICOs performing? on: March 08, 2018, 11:11:30 AM
I would follow a similiar strategy but under current market conditions ICOs don’t seem to deliver immediately. I invested in Sether for example and it is now -3x down compared to ICO price although it just hit exchanges.

It is good to see that companies like BFT are prepared for what the SEC is doing. Following the SEC public statement regarding the status of online platforms BFT released this positive news in Telegram:

Hi there, BFT community! Some important news for you! SEC made a public statement regarding the status of online platforms. BnkToTheFuture.com forecasted this announcement from the SEC and had already been through the process lengthy of registering as an ATS through our sister company. We believe we are several steps ahead of this.

78  Local / Deutsch (German) / Re: G20 Konferenz Argentinien v. 17-20 März🤔 on: March 07, 2018, 02:25:40 PM

I would really appreciate if you could have a look at these two threads that I started. Unfortunately it seems that due to the proliferation of low quality posts, it remains unnoticed if one tries to make an effort:

Are you in the wrong thread? I don’t see how someone is begging for merit....
