interesting subject, to do it, I pence to know what I'm talking about here, in fact, no need for xnsub ... cgminer (or bmminer) already contains these features, this remains relatively secret in the world of firmware developers ... what can I say:

- no need for xnsub
- unmodified cgminer can do this
- no parallel mining possible (contrary to some claim)
- I analyzed several custom firmware, and all used the same method
- no need to disconnect / reboot to change pool on the fly

hiding the devfee on the side of the pool is very easy,

before, dollemizer or other, changed pool every 1 or 2 hours I don't know, for a period of 1 or 2 or 3 min ... which created roller coasters on the side of the client's pool because the miner found it disconnect from the client this time ....

To hide, some do it (I do not say nobody: D), it suffices to simply scorch all these times ... imagine 10 seconds every 10min for example with a low diff: D, like that, 10s do not even see on the side of the customer pool! and the minor never seems to disconnect because 10s is really negligible: D and as it is very close, no more roller coaster ...

And yet, I'm not talking about the hidden pool fee of certain firmware: D

S17 pro has 48 chips per board ... so a total of 144.

Now let's see the S19 ... 114 chip x 3 cards, 342 chips, for 110th and an average of 525mhz, are you following me? let's go on !!!

the calculation, simulate an S17 at 525mhz: (57000/595) x525 = 50300ghs
see the speed per chip, 50300/144 = 349.3ghs per chip so ...

Let's compare to the S19 ... 349.26 x 342chips which gives us 119000ghs ...

thanks to this little calculation, we have noticed, that in fact, even the S17pro is faster for a given chip speed! not by much ...

add the rounded comma, the different miner efficiency (all different), the different models of S17 ...
I also believe that Phil is right, the S19, contains the same chips as the S17 ...

If you confirm that this SD card file allows you to go from S19 to T17 + (or other) then yes, this is interesting for us (developers)

In fact, you just can't ... switch a card with firmware 17 to 19 is possible but the opposite is not!

In fact, even the 19 control boards bought as spare parts, some come with firmware 17, and bitmain invites us to flash firmware 19 on top ... doing this LOCKs the board under firmware 19 !! ! so it is no longer possible to go back because bitmain has totally locked flashing by sd card in their firmware 19 ... probably to avoid secondary firmware lol

But beware, although there is no risk, do not use the firmware for S9 (modify or not) because it is not planned for S9 Hydro, the S9 hydro has maps closer to the T9 + by design, and it just won't (or very, very badly) work!

I have the solution, as I have always claimed, there is a flaw in their "latest" firmware for the 9 series, and I have the solution ... here it is:

Hi, in the start-up, I see that the miner this stop when he tries to increase the frequency of the cards, and therefore never starts, which seems to me odd, is that you have tried different firmware and that has not not solved the problem ...

I suggest you, I test my firmware (available in the software section), it has a different starting system, this could solve your problem, if this solves your problem then it's great, and if my firmware does not please you for X reason, you can always go back;)

Hi, I see that you have a lot of trouble flashing your S9 ... I also see that you have the 2018 version installed above, which shouldn't be a problem for an update ...

I propose to you, my thread, which consists simply in making an update, then installing my patch, and you will thus have control of the tension and the frequency ... all without SD card ...
