41  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: GekkoScience Compac BM1384 Stickminer Official Support Thread on: November 28, 2015, 09:40:49 PM
Yesterday I received the Stickminer.
Thank you Sidehack!

And I have got it running today.
I have not yet changed the voltage-setting. And I have not measured it yet.
I used the 150Mhz parameter.

What if the Stickminer gets too hot?
Will it just generate errors?
Or is it more likely to burn up?

The PI does not like 3.0 at all.

From what I understand Raspberry Pis will not work with USB 3.0 so you need a 2.0. Problem is even the good ones will struggle with a few of these sticks overclocked.

I have read https://www.raspberrypi.org/documentation/hardware/raspberrypi/usb/README.md

It probably depends on the usb-interface on the peripheral-side.

I have got a Raspberry Pi 2 running Ubuntu with an USB-harddisk, 3.0 that is.
Without any problem.

Maybe it helps to set max_usb_current=1 ?
http://raspberrypi.stackexchange.com/questions/27708/is-setting-max-usb-current-1-to-give-more-power-to-usb-devices-a-bad-idea
That's what I did because of the harddrive.
43  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Passphrase Recovery on: October 24, 2015, 01:48:14 PM

thats why OP said split it..

EG
lets say you know the social security numbers of your spouse and 3 kids
wife 077-99-0099
kidA 087-96-3021
kidB 097-59-1239
kidC 107-98-5868
now without telling them... you make a passphrase using those 4 SS numbers
077990099087963021097591239107985868
you then add on a secret word
077990099087963021097591239107985868hullabaloo

now this is what you write in your will
"dear wife. my savings are locked into bitcoin using you, and our 3 kids SS numbers followed by the safe word we agreed on when having rough sex"

that way even the lawyers wont know it

Unless they bug your bedroom or wherever you would use the safe word for rough sex

Just ordered one for Solomining on a Raspberry Pi 2.

Ubuntu 14.10 with LXDE
BitcoinCore
CGminer
CKpool-software

Less pressure on making ROI than with the bigger mining equipment in the past.
This is more fun!

Dat hele Tor vertrouw ik voor geen cent. Het is ontwikkelt in opdracht van de Amerikaanse defensie.

Net zoals het internet waar je nu op zit.
48  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Bitcoin Windows gadget which displays BTC and currency amounts on: November 09, 2014, 01:33:41 AM
Too bad this Windows-gadget no longer seems to function on my pc since somewhere in the last 2 weeks.
Could there be a reason other than mij PC for this?

P.S. I downloaded it in November 2013 from http://domchi.cc/mybitcoins/
( Not from http://mybitcoinsgadget.esy.es/ which is untrusted : https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=776063.0 )

I get the values from https://btc-e.com/api/2/btc_eur/ticker

Anyone else experiencing the same problem?
49  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: MyBitcoins gadget on: November 09, 2014, 01:24:14 AM
http://mybitcoinsgadget.esy.es/ is an almost exact copy of http://domchi.cc/mybitcoins/

http://domchi.cc/mybitcoins/ is the original creator of this Windows-gadget.
See https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=38450.120 for more info on the original Windows-gadget.

In other words: Don't trust http://mybitcoinsgadget.esy.es/ !!!

Unfortunately the original Windows-gadget no longer seems to function on my pc.

Black Arrow Software,

I want to order the extra PSU for the X-3.
http://www.blackarrowsoftware.com/store/power1.html

I find it strange that I have to pay an extra US$ 40 for shipping while this extra PSU can also be shipped together with the X-3 units.
Is it possible that the extra PSU can be shipped together with the X3 units to save on shippingcosts?

Begin 2013 heb ik met kleine bedragen testjes gedaan bij verschillende exchanges.
Bitstamp was vlot met uitbetalen.
