81  Bitcoin / Project Development / Proof Of Location protocol on: February 18, 2018, 01:30:19 PM
Hello guys,
since I red FOAM "introduction to PoL" (https://blog.foam.space/introduction-to-proof-of-location-6b4c77928022) i wonder about its application.
From what i understood the real factor to obtain a specific and meticulous position signal is the merging of (at least) 4 "zone anchors" (miner-knots) based on sync time.
Those operators join a smart contract that enables to earn a reward for nodes activity (so called Service Level Agreements).
First of all tell me if i misunderstood the article or the compliant technology. So is this protocol capable of trackign only x and y coordinates?
D you think is a good choice to lay on ethereum chain or it would be better to build a propretary one?
It seems to me an huge possibility for privates to build a proper owned "sonar"(maybe this isn t a good similitude)  that, meshed and linked with other's ones, will  track every device even indoor!

I have an issue about sidechains and their "appended" objects (other chains), is this possible? the lisk mainchain is concerned to be the backbone of this linked three? I can' t find any official document dealing with this!

84  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Learning blockchain programming on: February 09, 2018, 01:22:09 AM
Hello, I am interested in learning blockchain programming to be part of the development. For simplicity, let's say I want to build a platform whether it is utility coin or cryptocurrency, I want to develop for possible ICO. I understand the concept of blockchain and I've been researching about them, so I know at a high level how it works. As a newbie, I have 2 questions:

1. Where to start learning (Solidity?)
2. What resources are there and what is best? (Any recommendation for books, or e-course, any good learning websites? Youtube follower?)

Any recommendation would be great... Thank you so much in advance.

You want to learn solidity smart contracts and to use dev tools such as metamask, solidity remix and testrpc. Surfing the web you'll find all that you need for free, i suggest:
https://cryptozombies.io/  This is a good start point to figure out what is a smart contract  and start (literally) "playing" with it.
https://remix.ethereum.org/ Solidity Remix IDE and relative doc http://remix.readthedocs.io/en/latest/ for smart contract testing and development.
While testrpc emulates a test environment creating fake addresses, metamask can be downloaded as a plugin for chrome browser and allows you to interact (typing in remix solidity) with the choosen test network.
Another good source here https://medium.com/@hayeah and finally I recommend you to search for some ICO smart contract's code (I suggest kin token) and to study it.
Hope you'll find all this helpful!
85  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: If you have now 500$ for invest? Where you invest? on: February 09, 2018, 12:58:23 AM
If I had only $500 to invest I would pick from bottom, undervalued and promising coins for long term holding. For example I would put my money on Aurora DAO, it's very cheap now. when Idex market users become as high as Kucoin and Binance users it will go up significantly.
Also on BTC, it's very cheap now, Investing on Bitcoin will give you good returns after a long time, but in short time investing on Altcoins will give us a good profit. So if we are looking for a long time invesment Bitcoin is good, short time better invest on Altcoins.

looking for a short term profit lisk has an high potential of growth. And now is the time to ride the wave
86  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Cardano blockchain on: January 29, 2018, 02:28:30 PM
Do you believe in the very interesting project Cardano, that are trying to make a new and very scalable blockchain?
I don't believe in it. As far as I understand there are no differences between cardano and all of another new platform that aims to make future scalable blockchain with smartcontract. But I don't see any creativity from the developer to create something new just like what already did by ethereum.

Only solve the existing problem with mainstream way. Ethereum can even do that through hardfork.

No differences? Starting from the mathematical evidence of "ouroboros" algorithm that represents a stronger shared consensus on the consensus layer ( it's not a joke, we all agree about scientific method and its unquestionable proofs) i think cardano may even replace current main chains (ETH blockchain at least.. i admit BTC is untouchable). In my opinion it offers many features and is developed by a great team not to set an alternative chain but to develop a better one.

Cardano is a digital currency, and it is also an open source platform that enables organizations and individuals to build applications that use digital money technology for real life. Ranked # 6 in the thousands of coin types being circulated.
Cardano is not just electronic money, it's also a technology platform capable of running financial applications currently used by individuals, organizations and governments around the world. The first blockchain project was developed from a scientific philosophy and is the only tool designed and built by a team of leading researchers and engineers from around the world.

As mentioned above, the ADA will add enhancements that its predecessor, Ethereum, has not done yet. These features are safer, more reliable, and offer more features.

ADA is priced at $ 0.5. TARGET at the end of 2018 is $ 30.

I have a strong belief in this project and its future, but this target is impossible.. unless this market capitalizes as much as all current markets (and i bet on it! Grin)

Do bounty campaign's managers accept previous translation works outside the ICO world? i.e. SEO and SEM for GAnalytics tools
bounty manager want to see your previous experience about your work.so you can submit the link for this.if manager seems it really good, than you may got the work.
Yes, of course. But there is no way to join a bounty campaign if i'm a newbie?

The only way is with a central authority that control the access to a digital identity and its anchoring on the blockchain. But this doesn t mean it won t be a decentralized system, it s just a way to certificate one shot authenticity.
90  Other / Off-topic / Re: What Programming language is easy to learn ? on: January 28, 2018, 01:03:49 PM
I think that the simplest way is to learn by doing, so do not choose a specific language but choose what you want to do. After that it's possible to search an appropriate "tool".. i started building games with unity 3d and learned C# because of it.
So what do you want to program?
91  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: 🚀[ANN][Pre-ICO] NEUROGRESS - SHAPE YOUR WORLD WITH THE POWER OF THOUGHT🚀 on: January 25, 2018, 11:39:20 AM
I would ask a question.. how do you take advantage of a blockchain-based protocol in this industry? I think your project will help sector's players to exchange assets and trade informations between them (obviously) but i guess your big deal will be to use blockchain technology to assure an univocal bridge between a cluster of AI neuro-controlled devices (not sure about this definition, but hey it s awesome! Shocked) and a single human brain. This could improve the "data flow" security throughout a cryptographic system based on a pair keys uniquely matched and no longer offer the opportunity to hack personal devices. I guess your trying to lay down solid basis for IoT diffusion assuring the highest security mankind knows, I m right? if not why are you planning to base all your ecosystem on a blockchain architecture?
Nevertheless it's our century challenge: i'm sure you guys are on the right way.
I'll follow closely your progresses. Good luck!

93  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: Blockchain development on: January 22, 2018, 09:58:51 AM
What are the basic requirements for developing a blockchain?

That's not so difficult, the internet gives us every tool we need. I' don't know C ++, but i found some basics how to in javascript (it s simpler, trust me):
https://github.com/ltearno/blockchain-js
https://medium.com/@lhartikk/a-blockchain-in-200-lines-of-code-963cc1cc0e54
https://www.savjee.be/2017/07/Writing-tiny-blockchain-in-JavaScript/

Just do it, again and again. Ah you probably need a little of technical background, so i suggest you to read and study Mastering Bitcoin by Antonopoulos.
Finally blockchains may have different consensus protocols. Bitcoin foresees a proof of work concept (computing power to ensure randomness in forging) Ether eum uses PoS, Lisk DPoS and so on.. try to figure all of it out!
Good Luck! Grin

Morning Sir,
What about a mining software on linux ? About indie developers, i wish to know how would you assure the chance for an inGame token creation? It 'll be anchored to gamemachine's mainchain? Can You please tell me more about it.
Really thanks, that's a great project for me!

Hello! We don't plan to make linux sofrware, at least not in the near future, as most of gamers use Windows. The developers will be able to create their own tokens on our platform later. About the technical side- you can ask that question in our English chat https://t.me/gamemachineico

Are you working with team or what? ahahah
96  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do we Need Altcoin? on: January 19, 2018, 12:22:42 PM
The word “altcoin” is an abbreviation of “Bitcoin alternative,” because at least to some extent, most altcoins hope to either replace or improve upon at least one Bitcoin component. Altcoins are an intriguing facet of the cryptocurrency landscape. They serve an important role. Decentralization is one of Bitcoin’s most prominent goals, and altcoins further decentralize the cryptocurrency community. Moreover, altcoins allow developers to experiment with unique features. But most importantly, Altcoins give Bitcoin a healthy competition. Altcoins give cryptocurrency users alternative options. We can always adopt altcoin, if in any way we feel that bitcoin is too much to handle.

That's right, specifically i guess that different consensus algorythm may lead to best "proof" practices ( as PoW, DPoS and so on..) in order to create and check many suitablest consensus systems for the industries concerned ( wether coin transactions require randomness in computing, some other may better fit a hierarchic distribuited system as plutocracy or pyramidal one)

I got some points.. why 100 ETZ to build ? is a magic number? and what's your incentive system?
I also don t know how to interpretate, particularly how did you get to this, "to wait more than a dozen pieces of block confirmations".
Oh and i think your exchange page may misrepresent the situation, it need a little refresh.

Thanks
